History

Established in 2012.

Austin Dog Butler was established in the summer of 2012 as a single person operation. By February of 2013 we had taken on our first employee, and in October 2013 we took on our 100th customer!

Originally from England, a nation of dog lovers, I have now been a resident of North Central Austin since 2006. I just love the great outdoors and the company of dogs. I am experienced and trained in dog handling and also volunteer at the Austin Humane Society, a local dog shelter. I know dogs have a different way of being and I understand their language, which allows me to bond with them and keep them happy and content. Some say it is a talent, I just say I speak dog. With an English accent and a love of dogs, what else would I be but The Austin Dog Butler?

Without a doubt this is the best dog walking, etc, service i have ever seen. i entrust them with a valuable dog three times a week. they have never failed to show up, do a wonderful, cheerful and caring job with my dog and are very forgiving when i forget to cancel an appointment with them which has happened more than once. communication is immediate and they are dependable and always on time. they are very thorough in the initial meeting, cheerful and concerned when they come get Seamus and always cheerful and helpful with any issue about the dog or schedules, etc. without a doubt, this is the premier dog walking service in austin. louise o’c

I have been pleased with this dog walking service, and Gina rocks! She is prompt about emailing me whenever she walks my dog, and know I can count on them to be there during our agreed/​scheduled time. Austin Dog Butler has been amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable and caring dog walker. We have been using their service for about 6 months now and we love the daily pictures to see how our little pup (June) is doing. During our initial meet and greet, they seemed to genuinely care about our dog and asked all of the right questions. We feel very comfortable that our dog is getting tons of love when we’re gone.

I was hesitant to start using a dog walking service, but my puppy Shiner is already so much happier when I get home from work at the end of the day. His behavior towards other people and dogs has also improved. I would highly recommend the Austin Dog Butler team for all of your dog walking needs!

I recently moved into Austin, Texas (as of 6÷23÷2014) and was in a desperate need of a dog sitters.
I placed the call regarding dog sitting and dog visits and left a message. I received a prompt call from the operator. Unfortunately, I was not able to use Austin Dog Butler as they don’t provide weekend services. However, he was extremely helpful in suggesting a website that I can use to find smaller business with weekend services. He even told me that I can call him back for assistance if I am unsuccessful in getting a dog sitter.
Now, that is courtesy you dont see anymore. If my situation was to ever change (needing a service from weekend to weekdays), I would definitely call back the Austin Dog Butler.

We used him regularly, tipped generously, and last we heard he was happy to serve us. When we called for another appointment, he said he had stopped dog sitting and only does dog walking at lunch hour. Wish he would have notified us when he made the decision. Had to cancel a trip.

I have great things to say about Austin Dog Butler! Very professional and thorough, they go the extra mile and exceed expectations! Special thanks to Paul and Frank for making my dog Sammy’s life so much more enriched. He gets so excited around walk times (we do three days a week). Since we’ve started using Austin Dog Butler, Sammy has been less depressed (after the birth of my daughter), happier, more active and more engaged. He’s even had significant weight loss and health benefits! I have no doubt that Frank treats Sammy with the upmost respect and care. They genuinely care about dogs. Truly a top notch business! Austin Dog Butler is a life saver. Paul and his team came to meet our new puppy, and made her and I very comfortable with his service. I loved the emails he sent each day after his visits. As a cat owner I had some initial reservations about utilizing a professional pet sitting service with the word «dog» in it, however after the past 10 days, dealing with the complexity of my cats’ routines and daily updates, I must compliment both Paul and Kathy. Austin dog butler is the absolute best pet service in town.
The owner is a very friendly animal lover with an attention to detail you would expect to find from a fortune 500 CEO. I am always impressed by how carefully he plans the visits and sessions with my favorite 4 legged friend.
If you travel for work like I do, it is a real comfort knowing that Paul or one of his friendly and qualified staff will be taking good care of you faithful companion while you are gone.
Our girl is always happy on her walks as we can see in the twice daily updates, pictures and videos he shares with us while we are out of town.
I couldn’t offer a higher recommendation for a service like this than that I would give the Austin Dog Butler…10 stars!

When I made the decision to adopt a dog, I swore I would remember that she is only a pet and doesn’t necessarily need to be spoiled rotten. Enter Rory… the 7 pound light of my life. I absolutely adore her and have 100% become the obnoxious dog mother I had sworn I wouldn’t be. That said, I want the absolute BEST for her.
Paul came highly recommended to me by my vet when I inquired about someone who could walk Rory daily while I am at work. From the beginning, Paul and Michelle have been nothing but amazing. Extremely professional and clearly dog lovers themselves, they take incredible care of my little girl. I never have to worry, especially since they send a picture (sometimes video even) and personalized email update right after every visit.
When I travel out of town, Paul and Michelle come several times per day to walk and spoil her in my absence. I come home to a healthy and clearly happy little dog each time.
I would recommend Austin Dog Butler to anyone without any hesitation at all.

I tend to travel for work once or twice a month for several days at a time, and I was looking for a solid cat sitter service. Austin Dog Butler was highly recommended to me. It seems that many people in my apartment building trust their services.
When I met Paul, I felt I’d make the right decision. He’s was very professional, respectful, and genuinely concerned with getting to know my pet. My time away confirmed this feeling. He sent photos and video of my pet everyday, which was really a nice touch — very assuring and entertaining. I loved the videos because you could hear him talking to her, and watch her being «catty.»
When I arrived home from my trip, my cat seemed much less stressed than when I’ve taken other trips (before I tried Austin Dog Butler). I will be using this service regularly, and would definitely recommend Austin Dog Butler to anyone looking for a responsible & caring pet setting service.

Paul is amazing! I hired him for a daily afternoon walk with my older lab Buckley. Buckley can be temperamental with other dogs while on the leash. However, Paul has made an effort to learn his habits and work on minimizing those behaviors. I can tell a difference in Buckley’s behavior; he is not as aggressive anymore. I knew Paul was great but it was reaffirmed when I was driving through the neighborhood one day and saw him quite a bit ways down from my home where he was adjusting Buckley’s training skills. Buckley was sitting at attention and so enamored with Paul.
I have also used Austin Dog Butler for overnight visits. Buckley in the past has had similar services but would cry during the night. Since I started using Paul, my neighbors haven’t reported any crying coming from Buckley which means Paul really makes an effort to make him feel loved and spend quality time with him! Not to mention Paul was nice enough to take out my trash while I was away; something so thoughtful and unexpected!
I would recommend Austin Dog Butler to anyone in need of a loving pet caretaker!

I’m new to Austin 2 months ago. I travel quite a bit and wasn’t sure what or how I would juggle my 13 yr old rat terrier. I called him the day I moved into town and he was fantastic. He has been looking after my dog on a regular basis. Cool thing is that when he is finished checking on your pet, he sends you a personalized email with a pic of your pet. Cost is soooo reasonable compared to boarding. He is a life saver. If you are considering a similar service just stop, call, and give him an opportunity. He has several clients throughout the downtown apartment buildings and has easy access. So well worth the time and very little $$$.

I used Paul’s services when I had to be out of town starting early in the morning and not returning home until later that evening. Trouble, my puppy, is wary of strangers, and it breaks my heart every time I have to leave him at home (yes, I am one of those people who treat their dog like their own child). But he warmed up to Paul in no time which was a huge load off my mind, knowing that Trouble would have some company and attention while I was gone.
I had Paul come by for a midday potty break and then again for a 30 minute play session in the afternoon. Paul sent me pictures and updates of what they did and how Trouble was doing. When I got home later that night, Trouble was happy and the place was intact… so something was done right :)
Paul is very courteous and prompt, it was a pleasure to chat with him. I definitely plan on using Paul’s services again in the future and I highly recommend him if you’re looking for someone to take care of your «child!»

Thank goodness this company exists! I recently started using the running service for my energetic dog, and it’s amazing as when I come home he’s wiped out, and not annoying all evening… I have used the chauffeur service a couple of times too when I had to get him into the groomers and was at work. Hey, I even had Paul grab me some milk (that I forgot to buy) on his way over with my dog! Superb service, and I am so thankful to have found someone I truly trust with my ‘baby’. I have nothing negative to say about this fabulous company at all. Sophie P
