Description

Specialties

While there are styles for every home, the most important style is your own. That is why Fitzpatrick Architects places a special premium on the right home for you — not one that only reflects the architect’s personal taste. Our project portfolio highlights our ability to satisfy the vision you desire, whether it be Modern architecture, Spanish architecture, Tuscan architecture, Mediterranean architecture, Old World architecture or Texas Hill Country to mention a few.

History

Established in 1970.

During the early years of Fitzpatrick Architects, the architectural projects consisted of custom homes, builder homes, remodeling and home additions, condominiums and apartment complexes but soon began to focus primarily on residential projects. Fitzpatrick Architects is one of the first Austin architecture firms to produce CAD construction drawings. Today, Fitzpatrick Architects produces 3D drawings or Building Information Modeling (BIM) to include 3D computer elevations, sun studies and 3D «fly-around» videos of projects. With this technology, the firm can produce elevations to include alternative colors and materials for different style options.

Meet the Business Owner

John F.

Business Owner

John Fitzpatrick was raised in Texas and is a University of Texas alumnus. It was while at UT that he made Austin his home. John has been a licensed practicing, award winning, residential architect in Austin with his own firm for over 40 years and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. John has worked on several commercial projects but his primary focus has been residential.

Traveling abroad for informal studies of European architecture in venues such as Italy, France and Greece, focusing not only on facades but giving equal attention to the small detail such as stonework, roof lines, trim, doors, shutters and chimneys.

John believes the focus in creating designs should be based on the architect’s guidance to achieve a close collaboration with the client and meet the client’s needs while creating a unique, livable and timeless home.

Careful to keep up with current technology, John uses his skills to project his passion for architecture in dynamic visual form.
