Urban Laser Spa is now officially Elements Laser Spa. Urban Laser Spa was established in 2008 by Raymond Paxton, MD and Amy Urban, DMD. Urban built it’s skin care business on a «love the mouth, cherish the skin» philosophy. Elements Laser Spa, a leading Austin laser hair removal provider since 2005, acquired Urban in 2014. Elements will continue Urban’s tradition of providing exceptional skin care services and home care education.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

My background is actually in semiconductors. I spent fifteen years at AMD, did a brief stint at Sematech, and worked several years for a Silicon Valley equipment maker before deciding to branch out on my own.

I started a company that used lasers to inspect the surface of semiconductor wafers. We sold a controlling interest in the company to a group of venture capitalists and then watched helplessly as they ran the company into the ground. It was, nevertheless, a great experience and I learned a tremendous amount about running a business.

I next ventured into the healthcare field where I partnered with a terrific group of orthopaedic surgeons and physical therapists to start a rehabilitation clinic. The clinic has grown to become one of the leading providers of rehabilitation services in Austin.

I am now the proud owner of Elements Laser Spa. I enjoy the laser business, but technology is my passion. My next venture…3D TV… stay tuned!
