This place is trash. You’ll wait forever to get your food. They don’t cook their pizza all the way through and they are rude to employees and customers. I will never go back. I live across the street and eat pizza often.

So, their pizza of the month this month is Chicken Enchilada… delicious! I normally stick to the pizza rolls since they’re so easy to deal with as leftovers, but THISPOM is totally worth a special trip to DoubleDave’s. I’m just lucky I live across the street from this one. Nice staff, always friendly and fast, and delicious food!

I like DoubleDave’s and I like the fact that this location has a Sunday evening Buffet. My kids, even though they’re in their late teens, are always clamoring to go to end the weekend. While this location isn’t run as professionally as, say, the I35 and 3406 location in Round Rock, they are still pretty good at keeping the display stocked.

I’ve had my fair share of pizza here in Austin. Double Dave’s is right next door to where I live, so I have the true pleasure of eating here much more often than I should. The prices are great, the peproni rolls are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is electrifying. With a Staff that cares about you and their product, they are easily my favorite place to eat pizza. And, as a pool player, they have a pool table… Score!

Delivery takes over an hour even if you live 5 min away. I guess I should blame myself for paying the delivery fee instead of just going to get it. But seriously almost 2 hours for pizza delivery is excessive

Ordered from here for the first time last night. Philly cheese steak was dry. Buffalo pizza was good, but as a other reviewer stated, way too much crust. Ordered an orange crush soda and got mountain dew delivered instead. And lastly, ordered the cherry strudel, and when I got it it was only halfway cooked! There was uncooked dough oozing from it! Absolutely horrible. I definitely will not be ordering from here EVER again!

I live across the street from this place, so it was a go-to spot for me. The pizza’s pretty good when its cooked long enough — which is not every time I order. I’m not sure who does the hiring, but with the exception of one or two guys over there, the staff seem to have zero concern for the customers. The last time I as there was horrible and the 2 times before that, also poor experiences. I had ordered a pizza before I arrived and when I got there, sat and had a beer while I waited. I had paid for the beer and was waiting… and waiting… and waiting. 30 minutes goes by, when I finally realized they clearly forgot about me. So when I asked about the pizza, they acted as though I forgot to come get it, and it was very overcooked from sitting on top of the oven for 20+ minutes. When I showed them the overcooked pizza — they showed zero concern. To my disbelief, this happened AGAIN the next time i went back. This time, while I was waiting — kept telling myself There’s no way this is happening again, I’m sure the pizza will be ready any second. Eventually, I had to get up and ask where the pizza was — even though I was sitting in plain site of the entire staff. So last night, I called around 7:20pm — ordered a large pie, and waited about 20 minutes before I walked across the street to pick it up. While ordering, There seemed to be a confusion, as the person on the phone had confirmed the order by asking if the medium pie was all I needed. I told HER, no — I asked for a large pie. So she says ok, so 1 Large, and 1 Medium? «NO», just 1 large pie! Regardless, it gets worse. When I get there(20 minutes later) there’s no pizza for me. The guy said they had no record of the order. There was however a large pizza ready, on top of the oven that he would not sell me. He said it was for someone else, that wasn’t there yet. So rather than trying to keep me happy and scurrying to cook a new one for the customer that has yet to arrive, he told me I’d have to wait about 20 minutes for a new pizza. I mentioned that I was a regular customer(about once/week) and he said — too bad, that’s someone else’s pizza. So, I left with no pizza and as I was leaving — the little jerk had the audacity to say: «I’m sorry I ruined your life.» So much for customer appreciation. Adiós Double Dave’s!

Wow. Ronnie, or whoever answers the phone on Friday nights at 8:45pm is an absolute ass. First I call saying I’m having difficulties running my credit card online and I got an error that says«call the store». He says he can only help me place a whole new order. Then he puts me on hold. When he comes back on the phone he re-introduces himself. I tell him he was just speaking to me, to which he responds«I wouldn’t have reintroduced myself if I already talked to you». The point is that customer service is terrible, as well as the online ordering process. The pizza had the same taste of Papa Johns or Dominos, nothing good at all. The chocolate chip pizza was good and delivery was fast. Pepperoni rolls were also a disappointment.

The zombies behind the counter stare right through you and seem to wonder why you’re there. They must have changed the staff, because I used to be greeted in a friendly way. It seemed like a cool, neighborhood hangout. They also used to ring the bell when I gave a tip. These are little things, but I live farther away and I could easily choose another location.

Great pizza with a lot of options, and the pepperoni rolls were quite tasty! Overall I’d say they have some of the best pizza in Austin, but that’s not much of an accomplishment(The pizza scene in Indy/Chicago that I am used to has spoiled me). Their prices are fair and while the service was nothing special I will definitely be going back to give them another try. One thing to note: be wary of the online ordering system. I was never updated on the status of my order nor given an approximate pickup time. I had to call and sure enough my order was ready. It was still hot once I arrived and also when I returned home, so in the end it was only a minor inconvenience.

I love their Duval location, and their stands in UT campus have«nourished» me plenty with pizza slices and pepperoni rolls over the past few years, so I am not writing this with any bias. We had a takeout order of a crispy thin meat lover’s pizza and some cheese sticks. The takeout order was all messed up since we got back home to find ourselves with a cold margarita pizza instead of the pricier meat lover’s. But this was only the beginning — the food made us sick to our stomach to the point of a sleepless night of agony and I had to take a sick day from work today — I can still barely eat anything. This sounds like bad food poisoning to me, and I don’t think I will ever be eating DoubleDave’s again. It’s a pity because I prefer local restaurants.

Customer service needs work, I felt it was very slow to get our order and they forgot it wasn’t to go. The price seems very high compared to Pizza Hut or Papa johns. The pizza tastes good but needed help from marinara sauce and ranch. We tried out the«davs fav» which is a meatball olive which is unique. The garlic cheese topping was good and it helps the flavor. One guy was drinking alcohol on the job outside. Overall it was an okay experience with decent pizza but for the price we paid and amount of time it took we should have gone to some place else and it’s very unlikely I will return.

Maybe my opinion is biased, maybe not. When my fiancé first moved here to Austin 5 years ago, He worked here until he graduated culinary school. I was here ALL the time enjoying the freshly rolled pepperoni rolls and drinking the beer on tap. They make their dough fresh, they have decent quality veggies and toppings. I think the prices are fair. It’s better quality than dominoes or pizza hut and their prices reflect that. Lunch buffet 7 days a week along with dinner buffet Wednesday and Sunday until 8. It’s a nice hangout for friends with pizza and beer. A few games of pool, if you’re into that. And the Roost is next door!

My brother and I went into DoubleDave pizza 3 days ago. We usually go the one in Round Rock but we were in that area. We ordered dozen pizza rolls. Later that day we were sick in our stomach and going to restroom every 30 mins. This been going on 2 days and 3rd days starting to feel better. I won’t be coming back there again. Foods probably was spoil no good or someone have bad hygiene and not washing their hands. I recommend to not go in that place.

The pizza is always delicious. The buffet is a great deal, when it has pizza on it. For some reason, the buffet tends to run out of pizza very quickly, even when the restaurant isn’t packed. The They will make pizza on request for the buffet. So if you want pineapple, pepperoni, and black olives, they will do it. They do have quite the creative repertoire on their own. The salad bar is always stocked and looks fresh. I love the desert pizzas. It’s a symbolic type creation filled with either apple or cherry. The chocolate chip cookie pizza is amazing. I just wish they would keep the buffet better stocked.

Here’s the down and dirty: Salad bar — I have a better salad bar in my fridge Pizza — I’d rather eat frozen pizza from the store Pepperoni Rolls — For the love of God, these things are heavenly. I don’t know why they even bother making anything else. These are why I continue to go back. Yumm!

Double Dave’s is what it is. It’s a run down neiborhood Pizza joint that sometimes gets it way right and sometimes doesn’t seem to give a rats ass about what it’s putting out there as Pizza. I will say that any time I’ve had a problem, it’s been addressed, and most of the time the problem is undercooked pizza. However, my last order was delivered on time, and was hot and not soggy. I am also shamelessly addicted to the perpperoni rolls. Definitely worth checking out for delivery. Pizza buffett is what you’d expect; middle of the road. They don’t keep up their pool table or video games very well, which is a disappointment to the kiddos. Anyway, there’s a place for them in my line up, so for now, I’ll keep patronizing them, and updating my review if it swings one way or the other.

Double Dave’s on North Campus is one of my favorite places in Awfultstin. Sometimes I am north and have to order from this location. I’ve even checked with the owner of Double Dave’s on campus and all of the locations order the EXACT same ingredients. How then is the pizza at this location so much worse? I order the same pizzas as at the other location and they always taste different, not horrible, but different. The reason why they lose a second star is because of the staff. I always call my order in for pickup as I would never want to eat at this location. Every time I arrive, it always takes the staff 5 – 10 minutes to acknowledge that I’m at the counter. I’ve also been there when the staff was cutting up behind the counter and acting completely inappropriate in front of customers. I know that if the franchise owner say this, he would be horrified.

They do a better thin crust margherita pizza than anyone here in North Austin. Delivery service is impressive. Friendly, fast and always on time. The rewards system when ordering online truly awards you with great options. I also enjoy their chicken caesar salad, cheese steak stromboli and garden salad.

Today was my first time trying this place out. It was also during the lunch buffet. I immediately became a fan after the first slice. The quality of the pizza they serve here is top notch and does not resemble pizza you would find at a buffet, whatsoever. They also have an impressive salad bar, Strombolis, pasta, breadsticks, and desserts. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. Even their buffalo chicken pizza tastes great, which I usually avoid at all costs. In the end, DoubleDave’s pizza is a 7. But for a buffet, the pizza is fantastic. It blows CiCi’s and Gatti’s out of the water.
