Today, Diamonds Direct is proudly involved in the entire diamond process, from the rough to the cutting to the finished product in our showrooms. This process allows us to control the quality of the product presented to you and helps us save you money by cutting out a long list of middlemen in the process.

History

Established in 2012.

The Diamonds Direct concept originated in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1995 when our owners decided to open their company’s doors to the public after selling exclusively wholesale to jewelry stores for more than a decade. After experiencing how diamonds were being sold to the public in the Southeast, they decided to focus their efforts here to begin establishing the concept of having several locations that would offer the highest standard of quality, excellence, value, selection and education in the jewelry industry. After careful consideration, our company chose to expand to the Austin market in 2012 to establish our fifth location in an area that we feel is growing rapidly and is ready for a jewelry store that will revolutionize the way diamonds are sold. It is our belief that the «Diamonds Direct Experience» will transform the way consumers perceive the diamond buying process!

Meet the Manager

Jeff B.

Manager

Jeff Baer, Director of Operations, has been a part of the Diamonds Direct family for over 10 years. Having started in the jewelry industry almost 35 years ago as a sales associate, he has worked in a number of different positions with national chains and independent retailers. From single and multi-​store management, IT operations, store construction and managing print advertising he can truly do it all.

Jeff has a Gemologist degree from the Gemological Association of America and holds certificates from the Diamond Council of America. Jeff was also a Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf and utilizing his FCC ham radio operator license.
