History

Established in 2008.

David Ulmer created DLG with the intention of creating a contracting experience beyond compare. After finishing college in business/​finance and moving around the country, including San Francisco, LA, DC and Chicago, he settled in Austin to get back to his Southern roots and closer to family. Shortly after moving to Austin, he experienced several contracting projects that were not close to the standards he would like to find in the industry and set out to accomplish where others had failed. Fortunately, his bad contractor experiences and love of horticulture and landscaping, inspired David Landscape Group.

Business Owner

David currently lives in North Austin. His mother lives in Round Rock and his sister and brother-​in-​law live in Central Austin. He is very close to his family and sees them regularly. David also has an affiliation with Susan G. Komen and the Special Olympics. He supports these organizations because his mother is a breast cancer survivor and his oldest sister, mentally disabled. He loves all kinds of music including Blues, Jazz, Rock and Piano, is an avid bird hunter including duck, goose, and pheasant, a gourmet chef, and wine enthusiast. David is also a dog lover and die-​hard Cubs fan.
