History

Established in 2006.

The Danielle Reich Trio was formed in Houston, Texas, in 2006. Danielle relocated to Austin in 2011, and continues to perform in Houston, Galveston, Austin, The Woodlands, San Antonio, Kingwood, and anywhere in between with the area’s finest jazz musicians.

Jazz vocalist Danielle Reich doesn’t consider herself in an exclusive relationship with the genre — she starts with a foundation of jazz standards, then draws freely from an eclectic array of French chanson, 1970s pop, and bossa nova. Fans enjoy her pure vocal presence and straight-​from-​the-​heart interpretation, and fellow performers enjoy her intensely musical instincts.

Danielle’s performing passions led her from Florida to Houston, and finally to Austin, Texas, crossing genres from classical to jazz to avant-​garde to gypsy jazz and jazz-​infused pop. Danielle engages in projects that blur musical boundaries, performing an array of American and European jazz favorites in English, French, Spanish, and Italian, and creating jazz interpretations of an eclectic mix of songs from the pop genre. Danielle is thrilled to perform with some of Austin and Houston’s finest jazz musicians.
