I worked with Beth and Jessika on New Year’s Eve at The Driskill. We photographers were there for 12 hours but 36^th Events was there much much longer. It was a big crowd, a big party, and Beth handled every moment with excellence. I was blown away by their professionalism, quickness and ability to handle everything. I hope I work with them a LOT!

I can’t even begin to rave about Beth Walker!!! She is absolutely amazing! I had originally hired a different wedding planner, and found myself doing everything by myself. I guess I just assumed that this was normal. But after 3 months of exhaustion, I fired that planner and found Beth with the help of Barton Creek, where I was getting married! Beth stepped in and my life a breeze. I am a dentist and work full time. So between working and planning, time was something I didn’t have. Beth made my planning a piece of cake! She is so professional and caring. My wedding was 300 people plus, so there was tons of planning to be done. Every detail was done with such precision and the day turned out to be the most amazing day of my life!!! Everything went flawlessly. If something did go wrong, I sure didn’t know about it and that is exactly what I wanted.
Again, I would recommend Beth Walker to anyone getting married! It is the best investment that I could have made.

Beth Walker is the consummate professional — detail-​oriented, prompt, communicative, and thoughtful — while also being fun, enthusiastic, supportive, and generally a delight to work with! Her follow-​through is excellent. Throughout my engagement, I noticed all of my other vendors respected and enjoyed working with her too, which made the planning process much easier. Beth will spot and provide the finishing touches you may have forgotten to plan in advance of your wedding day (She created lovely mirrored signs for our hot cocoa and coffee station that I didn’t see until the reception) and thinks on her feet (She came up with a last-​minute Plan B when our getaway car and driver didn’t show up!). I have, admittedly, an obsessively detail-​oriented, meticulous personality (which was, of course, draw out when planning my wedding), and Beth met and exceeded the expectations I had for my coordinator. She is a gem, and I highly recommend working with her and the ladies of 36^th Street Events!

The very best decision we made during the wedding process was to hire Beth from 36^th Street Events for our 3-​22-​2014 ceremony. Beth is creative, fun, a consummate professional, and an incredible listener. But the thing that most captivated us about her was her warm, kind, totally CALM, unflappable demeanor, a Godsend to any bride and her mother. You never see her sweat and she makes sure you don’t spend a moment of this very special time worrying about anything. Her vast experience, particularly with Laguna Gloria weddings and the venue’s many unique requirements, along with her exceptional relationships with some of Austin’s finest vendors made her the perfect choice for us. Her recommendations for event supplies and beverage vendors, florist, wedding cake, photographer, car rental, caterer, hair stylist, and DJ were all outstanding. The fact that the bride and groom both live in London was going to make opportunities for them to be «hands on» fairly limited. Not a problem. Beth was more than happy to visit with them by Skype and FaceTime, allowing them to be very present in the decision making process throughout. She completely connected with and facilitated some of the very special European traditions they hoped to incorporate. But the best thing about contracting with 36^th Street Events was, not only did we have Beth, but we had the backup of her entire magnificent team should any need arise. And, in our case, it did. Beth’s first baby, due shortly after the wedding, decided to make her very surprise entrance into the world two weeks before our big event. Although we were sad that Beth, now a part of our family, wouldn’t be able to finish the journey with us, her associates Ren and Gillian and a great team of interns, stepped in immediately picking up right where Beth left off. It was an absolutely seamlessly transition and they were just as fantastic to work with. There is not enough room here to tell the many special ways they all came through for us in our year of planning and on the wedding day. Just want to say that the outcome was a dream come true. Beth and her team have our highest recommendation!

Where do I begin? Hiring Gillian was a massive win for my wedding weekend. I was told by recently married friends that a wedding coordinator was the best thing they did for themselves on their wedding day, and they were right. Gillian made my wedding day completely stress-​free. She took care of the bridal party, any and all questions from guests & vendors, and kept the entire night moving along perfectly. I honestly can’t list all of the amazing work she did. The best part of all was when we got back to our house after the wedding, Gillian had not only packed up all of our things from the venue, but she stocked the fridge for us with the food we didn’t get to eat and left us a sweet note. You will not regret hiring Gillian for your wedding! Do it!

Our wedding would never have been possible without Beth! I cannot begin to describe how beautiful it was! Beth worked with us from the beginning. I wanted a wedding with Texas flair (I’m a Texas girl; my husband is a Bostonian), but I did not want something rustic or too country. Beth found the perfect balance! From the start, Beth’s recommendations were exactly what we were looking for. I did not want to have a country club wedding, but she suggested that we view the University of Texas Golf Club as a venue (because it had an elegant, Texas vibe). It was perfect — the right balance of Texas, elegant, and not too pretentious. It also had the best rain plan of any venue we viewed (which turned out to be a good thing — something to consider for anyone having a spring wedding in Texas). If Beth had not been recommended it, we would have skipped considering it as a venue — I’m so glad that she did!
Then, Beth was critical during the décor planning process. She put us in touch with all the best vendors that could meet all of our needs. She was always professional and responded quickly to all my questions (and I had a lot of them). She helped me coordinate with the florist and plan all the décor, and she helped me pick out linens (there turned out to be way more choices than I ever could have imagined). I also had some unusual requests that amazingly Beth was able to make happen (for example, I wanted Bevo — the mascot of the University of Texas — to attend our cocktail hour for photos). I couldn’t have been more impressed that Beth was able to accommodate this request.
Leading up to the Big Day, I’m not sure what we would have done without Beth. She walked me through the process of deciding whether or not to execute our rain plan (always a tricky thing). Honestly, I don’t think anything could have turned out better. We still had an indoor/​outdoor wedding and reception; everyone was comfortable; and everything was absolutely beautiful. My husband, our guests, and I had the best time, and SO many people have told us that our wedding was not only the most fun wedding that they have ever attended but also the most beautiful. None of this would have been possible without Beth. My husband, parents, and I are eternally grateful!

I don’t know what I would have done without Ren at 36^th street. She was able to beautifully and flawlessly orchestrate our somewhat untraditional wedding. She honored our vision and brought the structure together to ensure that what WE wanted would happen. She is so passionate about what she does. Some evidence: She showed up in running shoes and a running skirt to do the pre-​wedding set up. She worked with with the vendors to fix any little snags on the fly the day-​of. Worth every penny! We weren’t at all thinking about the details of the wedding and had a blast at our own wedding, as it should be!

Hiring Beth might have been the best spent dollars in all of my wedding planning. After securing a venue and a date, it was literally my next step. I was planning an Austin wedding from San Francisco and Beth’s help was invaluable.
I interviewed a few different wedding planners/​coordinators in the Austin Area that I found from a combination of Unilocal and
and immediately liked the flexibility 36^th Street Events allows you in creating your own package from a menu of «a la carte» services. But I was slightly worried about why their prices were better than the competitors. Did it mean they were less qualified? Then I called one of Beth’s references (a bride whose wedding I had relentlessly drooled over on SMP by the way) and she said the exact same thing. She said — you are wondering what you are missing… right? And she told me all the ways Beth had gone above and beyond to make her wedding special. And I realized I was not only in good hands, but was also going to save a buck or two.
Flash forward a year later. I am 5 days post wedding and so completely over the moon with how everything went. When last minute weather threatened to ruin my 100% outdoor, 100% destination wedding, I was on the verge of a breakdown. Then I got a call from Beth. «I have talked to the venue about a tent, have a tent quote, and have communicated the new rain plan to all your vendors. Call if you want to know the details!». Best voice mail ever. I didn’t even have time to stress about the problem before it was solved.
And I didn’t miss a beat at the wedding. The second my champagne glass was empty, there was Beth with a refill. I got to sit and enjoy dinner and visit with my friends without a single concern.
I could literally go on forever… but you get the gist. These ladies are seriously good at what they do and worth every penny.

Bethany DOMINATED our $ 100k wedding from start to finish. Her design was gorgeous, she always had great ideas and input, but she never tried to push us in a direction we didn’t want to go. She stayed on top of our budget and made sure that we came in right where we needed to be, and she met with us regularly to make sure that we were doing our part by reviewing proposals and working on guest lists. She was there for every vendor meeting, and her experience as a wedding planner helped us visualize exactly how things would turn out.
On wedding day, Bethany and her assistant made sure everything happened without a hitch. When one of my groomsmen lost a button from his tux, she sewed it back on in record time; when a friend spilled something on my wife’s dress, she grabbed her emergency kit and went to work lifting the pesky stain away from the prying eyes of our guests. She made sure we had time to actually eat at the reception and visit with our friends, and she followed up with us to make sure everything was going smoothly from our perspective.
In the end, our wedding was more perfect that either my wife or I could have possibly imagined. I can’t stress enough how fantastic Bethany is. She could be charging 3x what she does for event planning, and I would still use her again in a heartbeat.

Beth was our month-​of coordinator for our April 2011 wedding. I don’t think I can even begin to express my appreciation for everything she did. She is both professional and warm, and kept everything calm and in order (even my pushy family members raved about her). Since the moment I contacted her, we felt that we were in good hands. She worked on all the last contacts with my vendors, kept up with my decorating and my ever-​growing «to do» and «oh, and…» lists. My husband and I talk about how she was our guardian angel. Bethany Childress is the best. Her team help me throw a wedding extravaganza that will have my family talking for years. My cousins who are younger than I have already said, «Wow, how are we going to pull something like that off?» Bethany coordinated all of my vendors, took care of everything behind the scenes, and most importantly, made me feel so relaxed that I enjoyed and reveled in my day. I could go on for pages on the professionalism, ingenuity, and the general wonderfulness that is Bethany.

I got married a month ago, and Beth from 36^th Street Events could not have been more helpful with all my day-​of coordination. A month out we got together to discuss the details of the weekend, and Beth asked all the right questions and helped me with things I may not have thought of. She was very professional and detailed-​oriented. As soon as I met with her I felt completely relaxed leaving my day in her hands. The day of the wedding, everything when perfectly (as far as I know). She was there when I needed her, and made myself, my husband and all our guests feel at ease.
I was not sure I wanted or needed a day-​of coordinator when I first started planning our wedding. Coming from Marketing, I felt like I could handle it all myself. 36^th Street Events assisted me in planning a fantastic and memorable wedding at the Four Seasons, Austin, TX on April 19, 2008. You may have seen the fireworks over Lady Bird Lake that night — they made it into the Statesman. Resha, one of the owners, was my planner for about 9 months leading up to the event. She secured contracts with about 12 different vendors and negotiated reduced rates with the majority. She answered all my emails and calls in a timely fashion and put out all the fires that can occur in the wedding planning process. She made it a fun process and kept me sane throughout. Resha was aware of all the major wedding trends and knew how to translate my general style into a major production for 225 guests. My experience the day of the wedding was completely relaxed and effortless — she even held my lipstick for touch ups! It was a perfect day and I give enormous credit to Resha and 36^th Street Events for making it happen.
