What do you want to change in your life?

Individual Psychotherapy

I work primarily with men on issues such as stress reduction, anger management, depression, anxiety, care-taking (nice guy) behavior, masculinity, and fatherhood issues. I use a mindfulness-based approach to help you identify unworkable behaviors and to create more successful strategies. Learn how to get out of your own way and to get what you really want from life!

Relationship Therapy

I provide Gottman Method marriage counseling, specializing in high conflict relationships.

People in high conflict relationships say:

* We’re best friends, except when we’re enemies

* Fights come out of nowhere, or escalate quickly

* Criticism, defensiveness and disrespect are common

* Their partner can’t (or won’t) see their point of view

* It is very difficult to find compromise

* They say things or make threats they later regret

* Fights feel like tripping through mine fields

The good news is that these behaviors are normal, and are simply unsuccessful attempts to meet very reasonable needs. The better news is that you can learn the skills you’ll need to improve communication, increase positivity and eliminate damaging conflict behavior.

Mindfulness Instruction

I teach an 8-week introductory mindfulness and meditation class with techniques clinically shown to help relieve stress, chronic pain, anger, anxiety, panic and depression.

Meet the Business Owner

Daniel B.

Business Owner

Counseling is a second career for me. One that I became interested in through my own journey of growth and mindful practice through which I continue to discover all of the joy, satisfaction and purpose life has to offer.

Prior to this work I had difficulty taking care of myself and keeping balance in my life. My unwillingness to move toward living the life I wanted led to depression, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness. Finally, when the pain in my life was more than I could take, I reached out for help, much as you are now.

My approach to counseling is collaborative and combines the mindfulness-based and research-validated methods. I can help you to change your relationship with the thoughts and emotions that are standing in your way. Together, we can develop a strategy and practice that will lead to you becoming the person you want to be leading the life you want to live.

You have the strength and wisdom you need to have a more fulfilling life. I can help you find it.
