I would probably live here just for the rooftop terrace! A full-​size bar with gas grill, mini fridge, fire pit, 5 – 6 giant TVs, and an amazing view of the Austin skyline! What a great place to host friends and family when they are in town, meeting your neighbors or just relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of the day!

The Crescent is great! I moved in sight unseen from CT and I love it.
Pros– You can’t beat the price for a 1 bedroom in SoCo in Austin. The apartment is great and the location is amazing. The ladies in the office are the best. They are incredibly friendly and handle any issue immediately.
Cons– Sometimes the pet owners don’t always clean up after their dogs, but maintenance does a good job cleaning up after them. I do have a washer/​dryer combo in my unit but unfortunately it doesn’t dry the clothes very well at all… BUT there is a great laundry room that is free, so that makes up for it!

The crescent apartments are perfect if you are looking for something affordable with a view of downtown from the rooftop. I travel a lot and the studio I have at the crescent is perfect. High ceilings, stainless steel appliances, and concrete floor give it the loft feeling. While I would love a washer and dryer they did just install 10 new washer and dryers and are free of cost. It also helps that they have wifi in the laundry room and on the rooftop! The management is wonderful, helpful, & accommodating. I would recommend these apartments.

Pros: I love the unit I love in, the rooftop is amazing, the location is so central and perfect and the price is ridiculously reasonable. Also, maintenance requests are handled quickly. And the hours of the office are perfect. The people that work there are always super wonderful to me, as well.
Cons: Paying rent can be in a pain in the butt because the system they use is sort of wonky. Sometimes the stairwells and sidewalks can get dirty. Lastly, there aren’t a whole lot of opportunities to meet other tenants.

I moved in earlier this year and have not regretted the decision. The apartment is great, perfect location, and even better views from balcony and rooftop. The maintenance staff is fast on fixing any problems that we have (which there haven’t been a lot of). Leasing staff is super nice and always very helpful. So glad I decided to move in.

I’ve been here about 2 months now and it’s been great! My favorite thing is the location. I walk downtown almost daily. The leasing office has an awesome staff, and free coffee with some desks to work at if you need to. The rooftop has a gorgeous view of downtown with 5 big screen TV’s that I like to watch sports on, and a grill to cook out. The free gym and pool are nice too :)

I don’t think I’ve been here long enough to give a solid review, but from my current experience:
The leasing office is very friendly, helpful, and just a joy to be around. The maintenance guy is also super helpful and doesn’t look annoyed when you ask him for things. The floor plan is great, the roof top is solid. My only concern is they might be understaffed.
By the way, the location is pretty solid, located between SoCo and Downtown, easy walk to both!

Moved here in November 2014. Just renewed for another year. The location here is great and the amenities are more than enough for what you have around you. If you are a runner, you will want to live here since you are close to running trails (town lake, butler park, auditorium shores) and there are plenty of dog parks within walking distance. Walking distance is a big bonus for this place since you can walk pretty much everywhere that you need to go.
There is a new staff down stairs and they are the reason I renewed. They’re friendly, smart, and confident in what they are doing which inspires all those things in others. I know I feel comfortable in my place which is all that matters to me.
This is a good place to consider if you are wanting downtown with views but not crazy downtown prices.

While the location is great, and I’m sure the property managers are nice people, the turnover is so great that there are inconsistencies told you at the start of your lease vs. the end. The pool gets no sun. We moved into a dirty apartment since they were rushed, and then were told that we had to replace carpets and clean when we moved out, even though they were gross when moving in. But hey, there is a Freebirds nearby.

I have lived here for a couple months and have been very satisfied so far.
Pros:
–The location is excellent and the price is very competitive for the area.
–I have experienced excellent customer service from the leasing office, both as a prospective renter and a current tenant.
–The interiors and building amenities are nice, especially for the price point and the location.
–There is gated parking with guest passes available.
–Very dog friendly — my dog has made so many dog friends in the building’s dog run area.
Cons:
–I have had several minor maintenance issues, but they have typically been addressed very quickly, often the same day. The leasing office also always follows up to make sure the issue was resolved.
–The in-​unit washer-​dryer combo is fussy and takes forever. The building does have a laundry room with full sized washers and dryers though.
–Sounds travels very easily. I luckily have quiet neighbors so it’s not really a problem for me.

The crescent apartment has an excellent location, amazing staff and the best view in town! The rooftop has the view but also is surrounded with tv screens and a BBQ. Definitely the best place to live in Austin, so lucky to call this place home.

If you had asked me to do this review at the start of my lease, it would have been a glowing five stars. Hell, even if you had asked me a month ago, it would have been a strong four. But now, the building and management staff just have seemed to fall apart. Lights not working in the parking garage, gates that didn’t work, and let’s not talk about the trash that has piled up. The solution? Pickups at 3 AM, that can wake even the deepest sleeper. Unacceptable at a residential building. And as I type this, there is a man with a loud machine cleaning the pathways in front of our outside facing apartment doors. I have headphones in and I can still hear it. How is this okay? It isn’t. The management doesn’t care about those of us that live here. Not anymore at least.
I am also disappointed in how they reacted to a minor flood in my apartment, which was because of something that was done by the staff. The improperly installed washer dryer drainage Hose cost me 40+ dollars in damage to books and notes for my job. They refused to take any action. Oh, and on top of that, they tried to cheat me out of my lease end date. They don’t care, are unprofessional, but hey, I don’t think it’s their fault. I used to recommend my building, now I can’t wait to get out. Don’t rent from The Connor Group. Avoid them like 512.

Don’t live here. I dove right in on my lease here when I moved to Austin– the location was convenient, and the place seemed well-​maintained and secure. I thought it would be worth the high rent, for those factors alone. I can’t tell you how wrong I was.
Let me begin with the cockroaches. I have come across massive cockroaches, alive, dead, and barely-​twitching, at least twice a week for the last nine months. I live on the fifth floor. Every time I brought this up with management, I was made to believe that no one else was having this problem, the implication being that it’s my own fault. (Reading the other reviews on here mentioning the same problem has been enlightening.) Spraying has not helped. Granted, management has changed in the last few months, and they seem more sympathetic, but I still have huge roaches coming out of my sink.
Additionally, after moving in, I began to notice many corners had been cut with regards to the appliances and fixtures in the apartment. The upper storage in the kitchen area does not have corner cabinets, for instance, just an empty space. There was water damage on the fake wood bathroom cabinet. There was broken glass in the kitchen drawers, even though I was assured the place had been cleaned thoroughly. The fridge door has several dents in it. When it rains, water comes through from the balcony– not just under the door, but under the base moulding itself.
Additionally, the combo washer/​dryer barely functions. The door hinges and other areas were nearly rusted through when I moved in. It doesn’t drain properly and as a result won’t dry clothes fully. Sometimes it will shake so violently on a spin cycle I worry it’s about to simply come apart. I reported this several times, and the response has always been fast– but never with a new machine, just the (admittedly lovely) maintenance fellow fixing what remained to be fixed. I stopped trying, and now just wash my clothes at my boyfriend’s place.
Admittedly, the new management team seems pleasant, I like the stained concrete floors, and the roof terrace is nice to have as a community space, and to utilize for parties — although the sprinklers and water fountain haven’t worked in the year I’ve lived there, dispute assurances to the contrary during my initial tour. The pool is fine, but don’t expect sun for more than two hours in the middle of the day.
Oh, and before I forget– with regards to security, forget it. The gate to the car park is always open, rendering the fancy electronic keys to open the two main doors effectively useless. I’m told that cars are broken into relatively frequently, and bikes are stolen. Someone was KILLED here a while ago.
«Luxury apartments.» And I was offered the chance to renew my lease with increased rent. I’ll say it again: don’t live here.

Renters beware! The management here is useless. Maintenance requests go unanswered or take forever and then are done improperly. The common areas of the property are filthy. Keeping the property clean and in working condition seems to be at the bottom of their list. Dog pee fills the hallways and elevators and goes uncleared. Overflowing trash cans are the norm. The rooftop at some point was probably nice but not anymore. Always dirty with a broken water fountain, broken ice machine, and a barley functional grill that should have been fixed or replaced during President Nixon’s administration and is out of propane on the regular. If you didn’t bring any meat to grill good news the Crescent provides free cockroaches from the garbage that was emptied 2 weeks ago. The Pool… Well it gets about 1 – 2 hours of sun per day depending on the time of year because it is situated in a courtyard with the building blocking the east and west. It is adjacent to the dog area which fills your summer days at the pool with the fresh aroma of dog urine and unclaimed dog poo. The topper is someone was murdered down the hall from me a few months ago and in true Crescent style a few days after they sent renewal paperwork that was raising the rent. Oh yes I have had 3 bikes stolen from a locked bike rack inside the gated parking. I’m not the only one and attribute this to an inside job especially when I inquired about the video surveillance cameras in the garage on all occasions the office has told me they are broken. Leaking ceilings in the halls with falling plaster that is never cleaned up is the newest edition to this paradise.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE!!!
We moved into the apartments in June and we are definitely sad with our decision.
Our front loading washer/​dryer combo is worthless. You can wash only one towel at a time (at best). The dryer takes at least 4 cycles to dry clothing (each cycle is 2 HOURS long). Then, every 3 wash loads the water does not drain, so your clothes are left SOPPING wet. There is no solution to the problem as the maintenance guys do «the best they can». It’s not something they can fix, it’s just a horrible brand that needs to be replaced.
Our balcony door leaks when it rains!!! They STILL have not fixed this! Every time it rains we have a PUDDLE in our living room. I never know if it is fixed until it rains again… And then, puddle.
The «dog park» in the back is disgusting. It smells of dog crap by the pool because people do not pick up after their dog. I’ve stopped taking my dog back there.
The gates in the garage NEVER work. The gates by the pool are broken often and look run down.
The pool area is not kept very clean or appealing.
The ONLY thing going for this place is the location. If you want that, you’ve got it. If you want a «luxury» apartment run as fast as you can away from this place!!! With the price so high, we are disgusted with what we pay and we are counting down the days to get out of this place!

It’s just fine. It’s decently priced and it is in a fantastic area of Austin. It’s clean, has stained concrete floors, granite countertops, and fairly good kitchen appliances. The pool is salt water and nicer than other apartment pools I’ve seen. There’s a roof top terrace that’s neat, with a grill and bar area – good place for parties.
But I DON’T think I’ll be renewing my lease here.
Why…
1.) Washer/​dryer combo is too small, takes too long to dry clothes fully (more than 4 hrs for a full load), and sometimes it doesn’t dry at all! Towels are too heavy for it to spin properly. I now have to bring my towels to my parents to get cleaned… in HOUSTON. Also, some of the fixtures are kind of shoddy in a corner-​cutting sort of way (the «fake drawer» in my bathroom falls off if you touch it and one of the lights in the kitchen burns out within a day of changing it).
2.) Security sucks. The gate is almost always open. What’s the point of a gate? And any time it’s a weekend or a festival, people follow you up and park in the residents’ areas.
3.) Work out room sucks. Their treadmills/​elipticals are old and clunky. They have one set of free weights and 3 deflated yoga balls. That’s it.
4.) There’s tons of poop in the dog run, despite signs that say «Pick up after your dog.» They don’t do a very good job making sure that the poop landmines get picked up regularly.
5) This is obviously something the apartment can’t really help, but it is super loud in here at night on the weekends. Lots of drunken yelling and whatnot.
Management is nice, at least, the apartment is just not quite worth the price all things considered.

i am a current resident here and this place is the worst. 2 bikes stolen and my car broken into with additional stuff stolen. filed a police report and the apartment manger refuses to give the detective the video footage of the break in. there are large holes in the ceiling of my hall way that have gone months not repaired. roaches and bugs fill my apt. and the hallway. the property manager loses packages in the office all the time. black mold in the bathroom shower that won’t go away. the dog run is not being kept up and smells of urine and feces. this place is not worth the money or the stress of living in a place that cares nothing for the well being of their tenants.

I lived here and I can tell you, you won’t spend much time in the apartment… mostly because THEY ONLY ALLOW TIME WARNER CABLE!!! Are you kidding me?! Have you ever tried Time Warner? Might as well throw your TV in the garbage.
Great apartment though.

I don’t live here, but a friend does. This was my first visit and it was pretty great. Parking is easy, the space is… well. spacious? The appliances are great. There are a lot of great views. The roof top is beyond amazing.
I’d love to live here and quite frankly, I’m sad that I don’t. It’s a great location.

The ground floor bathroom is public. I highly recommend peeing in there if you have to go. Alternatively, you could pee in the ground floor pool, but I’d only recommend that if you have a change of clothes and if you’re sure the pool doesn’t have that dye stuff that turns blue when you go.
Nice rooftop bar/​patio. When I was there, there was a giant, friendly dog working the room and more bros than you could shake a stick at.
