When looking for a wedding photographer, I wanted someone that I knew was LGBT friendly. When reading Jenna’s blog, she said that she would love to be the top LGBT wedding photographer in Hawaii. She sold me right there. The good thing is that she was amazing. She was very fun and down to earth and not the traditional wedding photographer, which we love, as we’re not traditional people. Since we live in the states and she’s in Hawaii, we had lots of great email dialogue and a Skype session so we could get to know each other. Once we were in Hawaii, we had an engagement session and the wedding day shoot. The photos are amazing! I couldn’t have been happier about everything. Jenna is amazing and I recommend her to everyone.

I feel like I don’t even need to write a review. Jenna’s work and previous reviews explains it ALL. But you know, if you want to know my honest story:
I am in the wedding business. I had a client who was not so happy with her wedding photographer but was in LOVE with his engagement session shooter. Guess who that was? They loved loved Jenna!
I honestly have not had the honor of working with Jenna on the professional level but think its much more important to describe what it’s like on a client level.
We (my husband and I) are not photogenic people. We hate posing for photos unless we have had something to drink (and by something I mean a lot!). But I knew our time for couple photos on our wedding was limited (though our photographer then did a great job!) and we scheduled this session with Jenna.
I loved working with Jenna because she would shout directions at us. She wouldn’t force us into anything but a little guidance is always appreciated — especially for those of us who DON ‘T model you know? She literally made a 2ft width space of grass look like a field… who does that??? Thank you Jenna!!!

Words cannot begin to express how grateful we were to find Jenna. I called her on the phone and felt an instant connection. She explains everything and even helped us hook up with others on the island to make our wedding a huge success! She met us on the beach prior to our wedding to take an engagement shoot so we could have an in person meet and greet before the big day! Never in my wildest dream would I have expected to receive my photos and LOVE each and every one of them! She was able to capture the story in full detail for me to relive those moments like the just happened all over again!!! She will literally climb mountains to ensure she get the best shot! Jenna is full of life, entertaining, and extremely spunky!!! I love that about her even though we live very far apart I feel we can now call her a friend!!!

Jenna took our wedding pictures at the beach, and all I can say is WOW!!! All my friends were impressed and said they were the best wedding pictures they have seen. Jenna was very creative in all of them and was able to beautifully capture the moment. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
But most importantly, Jenna was a wonderful person to work with. She was always very friendly and helpful. She recommended the perfect spot for the pictures as well as other people that could help us out.
I HIGHLY recommend working with Jenna and we’ll always be very grateful towards her.

Loved Jenna. She even helped me pick a spot for my wedding when I was unsure where to do a small ceremony.
She also gave me tips for makeup and officiants!
What’s more she was there on-​time and ready to go, then did a great job being fun and goofy and making us feel comfortable.

We enjoyed our day with Jenna and our pics turned out awesome. It especially worked out that my toddler liked her a lot and cooperated thru the shoot. I also appreciated that she was prompt with replying emails. Thanks for the family portraits, Jenna! I’m thinking we gotta do this annually :)

We hired Jenna to photograph our wedding last month and we are so happy we did. Jenna is amazing. She delivered all of our images within the week and they were beautiful. We also did an engagement shoot with Jenna and loved those images as well. She is very talented and has a great eye. What sets Jenna apart from others is her passion and her dedication to her clients. She goes above and beyond to make sure her couples enjoy the process. She will always respond promptly to emails, sometimes within the hour! That alone is so invaluable when planning a wedding! I knew that I could count on Jenna. On the day of the wedding Jenna arrived early, was very calming when things started getting hectic, wrangled stray family members with a smile, helped fix my eyelashes, checked in often and captured some very special images that we will treasure forever.

My hubby and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii and we wanted sunset wedding pictures so we contacted Jenna and and another photographer. We decided to go with Jenna after saw her rating on Unilocal and some of her work. Jenna was very helpful. She was always quick to respond to all our email and answered all our questions.
Overall Jenna was awesome!!! She was friendly and fun to work with. She took great sunset pictures in Haleiwa. She was very creative. Jenna suggested for my hubby and I to share a snow cone. It turned out to be some great images.

My fiancé and I got engaged before a trip to Hawaii and we really wanted to take our engagement pictures there. However, since we’re located in AZ I sent a bunch of emails out and Jenna responded in a quick, friendly, and professional manner.
The day of the shoot, Jenna put us at ease and took some really great sunrise engagement pictures in Haleiwa. I’m still getting compliments on the pictures!

Jenna was great to work with! I first met her at a boutique opening and then again at the Bridal Expo. She was very friendly as well as professional. She has a lot of spunk and wants to share her happiness with her clients. She will help pose if needed but also gets beautiful shots by making you comfortable in being yourself.

Corresponded with Jenna for about 3 weeks about our couples shoot scheduled for February 2^nd. She was very friendly and communicative and then… nothing. A few days before the scheduled shoot she informed me that she may have to reschedule because the videographer’s availability changed. I told her that was fine and just to keep me updated. She never responded, even after I emailed her to ask what the status of the shoot was.
Not cool. Totally strung me along for almost a month and then bailed without a word. Very unprofessional.

I found Jenna through her Unilocal ad and review. I called 3 other photographers but Jenna was the first to answer the phone. I thought she was so friendly and certainly had a beautiful portfolio, so I grabbed her right then and there after a quick conversation. The other photographers got back to me… eventually. But, too late.
She’s a lady in demand, so I booked her for a Sunday sunset session. She was so great with our family of 10 including some uncooperative adults. My teenage and pre-​teen niece and nephews were less demanding. But, Jenna was fun and quick and she made getting our various poses and groupings a breeze. I’m really looking forward to the final product. I looked at a preview on her camera so I’m confident we’ll love it.
You cannot go wrong hiring Creatrix Photography or Jenna. She’s busy but she’ll do her best to get you in. Definitely worth it!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jenna when I traveled to Oahu for vacation. I was also 24 weeks pregnant at the time of the trip, so I decided what better time to take maternity pictures! We met Jenna at 6AM, at a secluded beach in Waimanalo. The beach was serene and quiet. the breeze was perfect, the sun in full force. She spent about an hour with my husband and I, and the pictures came out beautifully. I had many options with photographers in the surrounding area, but I am confidant that I picked the best one. Jenna really has a great eye for what looks good and what doesn’t. She made me at ease with her personality. she was very easy to relax in front of… I plan on taking another trip to Oahu next year, and I plan on using her again. this time with my baby in the pictures!

My family was visiting from WI for the 1^st time and we decided to do our family photos here. Trying to save a buck I purchased Jenna’s deal on LivingSocial. What a steal of a deal it was! Jenna was great and super nice to my family. We did a few traditions all posed shots then some playful — silly ones. I will have these memories forever and I don’t think it could have gone better! Mahalo!

We do a family photo shoot every Fall and last year was no different. We did a quick 30 minute session with Jenna and it was just the right amount of time. The pictures turned out great and the large print we framed looks awesome in our house. I would definitely recommend her for your next function or family picture taking event.

I worked with Jenna for some business portraits and was very pleased with the results. She «got» the look I was going for and gave me some really valuable feedback on my makeup, clothing, and poses. With her help I think that the portraits turned out much better than I could have expected.
The session was short — around 30 minutes of actual shooting time, and considering that it’s amazing how many good shots there were to choose from (and I’m pretty picky!). This girl is efficient and knows her stuff. Reasonable pricing too!
All in all, a great investment.

I was a bit nervous buying this deal for our vacay. It was a great deal that I couldn’t and didn’t want to pass up. Timing was key to our vacay dates. Thankfully she had two spots open during it. So I nabbed the spot and bought the deal on Living Social! I know, usu you buy before you book, but it was our vacay and didn’t want to chance not having an appt!
Jenna has a great bubbly personality that made us feel less tense (more at ease). Which helps esp when you have a big lens in your face and you’re not one who loves taking pictures by a stranger.
I love that she had a prop box! They were so much fun to use! I recommend picking out a few just to have on stand by. Of course I didn’t chose anything crazy bcz the BF didn’t want any props… so we ended up choosing props you’d see on a beach/​picninc day. Boo to the BF!
One thing I didn’t like was she doesn’t take pictures while talking, too often. It could be a good thing and a bad thing. In my case, when she lifted that big lens and stopped talking I felt a dead air space btw the lens and me again.
I love her work and I would highly recommend Jenna. Her turn around time is fast which is great! We’ve had professional sessions before and I didn’t love the work, I just liked the work! With Jenna she won’t disappoint! She gives you great photos and no 2 will be alike!!!

Jenna did a great job for our family photos. We came from San Diego and needed some great beach family photos for holiday cards. Not only are her prices very reasonable but the photos turned out terrific. She helped us with outfit choices, colors, props etc.

Jenna did an AMAZING job with my portraits for my business. As the owner of For The Love, a Wedding and Event Coordinating business, having a professional picture of myself on my website was important to me. I do not like to have my picture taken, and tend to be more of a behind the scenes type of person, but Jenna was able to bring me out of my shell and gave some great tips that would appeal to the type of clients that I was trying to attract to my business. The quality of her work is outstanding and I highly recommend using Jenna for your photography needs. She offers several other services aside from photography as well. I am proud to know that she is very dedicated to donating to organizations in the community, whether it is through photography or monetary donations.

Seriously, 5 stars is an understatement for the AWESOME job Jenna did for our engagement photo shoot. I read a lot of articles online prior to booking our engagement photo shoot with Jenna, on what makes a «good» photographer. The number 1 tip from a lot of sources said that a good photographer would make you feel at ease, and give you clear direction. Checking out the photographers blog is also important as it will really give you a good idea of the phographers personality. If you are like me, and have never really been comfortable having you photos taken, and disliked yearbook photos, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Our photo shoot was in Haleiwa over the fourth of July weekend. Jenna took us to a secret spot that she had scoped out for us prior to our photo shoot. I think this in itself proves how much she really puts an effort into pleasing her clients. She also took time out of her busy schedule to meet with us in town for a pre-​consultation meeting where she got a «feel» for what we are like as a couple. This meeting was great because WE were also able to get a «feel» for her too. Her bubbly, fun, outgoing personality really made us feel comfortable and we knew that our photos were going to turn out great.
While most photographers take classic engagement «portraits,» Jenna really has a niche talent in the Hawaii market because of her classical, vintage, yet flirty and romantic photos. Her keen eye for detail, and her love of using natural sunshine rays in photos, is unique and made us look SO GOOD!!!
I am 100% satisfied with how the photos turned out, and I highly recommend her!!! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! CALL HER NOW!!!
