What is Competition Unlimited?
Competition Unlimited designs events for organizations and the general public. Our services provide an exciting and unique experience for everyone involved. We organize quality events in a professional, timely, and well-organized manner.
Why do I need Competition Unlimited?
There are a few reasons. The events we run are very memorable and can be customized for your organization’s demographic and interests. Also, our events teach a variety of skills including teamwork, strategic planning, and critical thinking. Finally, we eliminate the stress involved with planning and running games. You get to relax and enjoy your event.
What types of events does Competition Unlimited organize?
Competition Unlimited offers a number of different events. Our custom events can be as casual or complex as you can imagine. We have run dance competitions, golf tournaments, poker tournaments, beer pong tournaments, and hamster races, just to name some of our favorites.
History
Established in 2002.
Competition Unlimited started by running a citywide treasure hunt (Midnight Madness) for the public. After that event, business owners asked us if we could do special events (poker tournaments, etc.) for their clients and employees. From there we expanded by offering custom events (spicing up golf tournaments, dance competitions, body shot contests) for groups. In 2008 we used what we had learned to add a personal development branch of Competition Unlimited, coaching companies and people as far away as Norway, Ireland, and Australia.
In 2009 we started combining the personal development aspect with our competitions by creating team-building events. Instead of going to a ROPES course, we featured specially designed games with a debriefing session afterwards. We found the players to be much more receptive to just playing than with normal team-building exercises.
We still run events for the public as well, and the Citywide Scavenger Hunts occur about once a quarter. Come play with us!
