Compassion Pet Sitting

Megan and her mom did a great job caring for our sweet kitties last summer. We were out of town for a while and concerned that our cats wouldn’t get enough attention. We received updates and pictures by text every couple of days. We could tell that they got to know our cats’ personalities and worked hard to meet them on their level. We also felt very confident in having them administer meds and monitoring our kitties’ health. Friends of ours coordinated visits too and everything worked out very well.

Actually, my first payment for the first service was returned NSF. There was never a second NSF UNTIL she cashed my check for the other service before services were rendered. She also told me that she always cashes checks upon receipt, for everyone, yet in her reply she acts like mine is a special case. Get your story straight, Megan.

I can’t believe it didn’t occur to me until now to write a review of Compassion Pet Sitting! We used Megan’s services over Christmas. We had originally lined up another pet sitter to watch our two elderly kitties while we were away for the holiday, but when we did the «meet and greet» with that pet sitter, she admitted that she didn’t feel comfortable with all the medical needs of our cats (one needs insulin and hyperthyroid medicine 2x/​day, plus subcutaneous fluids 3x/​week, and the other has lymphoma and gets two different pills – one daily, and one every 3 days). I really appreciated that pet sitter’s honesty, and I appreciated her referral to Compassion Pet Sitting even more. I called Megan, and – despite the short notice (it was like 11 days before we were to leave on our trip) and the busy holiday time – she had just enough room in her schedule to take care of our cats. Yay! We met with her, and she seemed very knowledgeable and competent (she didn’t flinch about any of the medical care… I guess being a vet tech she does those kind of things every day).
While we were gone, she even called a couple of times to ask questions – something I was very grateful for! She felt bad for «bothering» me, but I’d much rather be called than have her guess about something.
I really felt at ease on our trip knowing Megan was watching our kitties. It was the first time we had left them in over 3 years (since the older one was diagnosed with diabetes). I knew they were in good hands.
The only negative is that we aren’t actually close to her – she’s far north, and we’re in South Austin. So, there was a fee for being out of her normal area, which we completely understood with gas prices as they are and the extra time it took her to make the drive. It’s not really a negative about the business, just a negative for our situation.

Compassion Pet Sitting is awesome! I will always recommend them to anyone I know who needs a pet sitter.

Megan is awesome! We always have her watch our kitties when we are away. The fact that she is a vet tech sets our minds at ease knowing our kitties are in good hands. Highly recommended!
