Carl Shurr – Realty Austin

Carl is an acquaintance turned faithful advisor. I recently had my first house go to contract, and will say that the inspection/​option period was nothing short of a nightmare. Small kinks tend to feel like epic crises when a decision of such magnitude is on the line. Carl was the voice of reason and wisdom at an otherwise difficult time.
I was already caught up in another whirlwind of a buyer/​realtor relationship, so unfortunately, my professional relationship with Carl is limited only to a short amount of time — a short amount of time that he enthusiastically took out of his professional, livelihood-​paying relationships to lend me his expert guidance and support. I was in the 11^th hour of option negotiations, and suddenly remembered I had a friend of a friend of a friend in Carl who seemed to know the business. I sent him a Facebook message and received a call back within 20 minutes.
He knows what he’s talking about. I’ve lived in Austin for almost 10 years, and it seems that every other person in town has gotten their name on a real-​estate license at some point. Carl’s real-​estate savvy extends far beyond a piece of paper. His expertise became obvious — not only in the thoughtful, systematic way in which he assessed my situation, but tangibly, through the additional repair concessions I got back on account of his negotiation advice.
Arguably as important, he’s a genuinely good guy in a business filled with questionable character. I wish he’d been on my team sooner. You’d be lucky to have him on yours.

Can you zip over to Austin from Cali and buy a house in a week? Why yes you can! I tagged along with my little sister during her house hunt. I plan on being her Kato Kaelin until I’m eighty or she tosses me out on the street.
The realty gods smiled upon us — enter Carl Shurr. Ummm… is it OK to say he smells really really good and is very easy on the eyes? Well, I said it. He’s not just another pretty face, though. He really knows his sh*t.
I can’t even tell you how much fun we had during our excursions. He showed us every nook and cranny of beautiful Austin. I think a lot of people simply tolerate their Realtors. You know they make the job easier, but you’re not quite sure if you’re being helped or f**cked. I consider myself to be an excellent judge of character and I can honestly tell you that Carl is just a really good egg. You couldn’t ask for a better negotiator or advocate.
My sister was able to get the house she fell in love with at a great price with zero agida. Fly to Austin, hot Realtor drives you around, buy house. Yes, it was that simple.
