Specialties
Our Burger Tex 2 has been upgraded
in new menu, new paint job for interior and exterior.
We have Spicy Burger –Adding homemade spicy sauce on ground beef patty– and Spicy Bulgogi Burger.
Oh! I’ll talk about the Bulgogi Burger little bit to inform you what it is.
Bulgogi is Korean BBQ, we use slices of sirloin.
These beef slices are marinated with soy sauce, garlic, onions, sugar, and sesame oil.
It usually comes with rice in Korean restaurants.
However, Mr. Lee, owener puts it on non-preservative buns that are backed every morning for over18 years.
As a new menu, we have Hawaiian Burger and California Burger.
Guacamole is also homemade by Mrs. Lee every day for our delicious California Burger.
We only use Organic veggie for our Salad
Non-preservative patties are made every morning.
As you know, Burger Tex 2 is not a franchaise,
Mr. LEE invented the Spicy Burgers for our awesome customers
History
Established in 1973.
I am not sure how it was created as Burger Tex.
But here is a story that I have heard from previous owner
before taking it over.
First Burger Tex was built on Air port Blvd and Second one is
our Burger Tex II. The first owener who made two of these sold to
two different Korean families. This is why we are not franchaise and have different menu and price.
:) Burger Tex II will change their name as Planet Burger soon,
because we do not want to make our customers confused with other Burger Texs.
But do not worry.
Current owner wouldn’t leave you guys alone.
Meet the Business Owner
Mansu n Mingjeong L.
Business Owner
My dad, Mr. Lee was an engineer in South Korea and moved to America with his family 5 years ago.
He went back to Korea 2 years later, because of his job.
His beautiful daughters (including myself) were left in Austin for their studies, then.
He eventually came back to America and became a burger cook.
Mr. Lee was interested in cooking, but never expected that he would cook «Burgers» in America.
He is a hardworker… Although his arms aren’t that strong to cook over 100 patties everyday,
he enjoys his job, our customers, and serving Good Burgers.
My dad is a drumer and guitar player. Ask him for a performance then he will play at Sonny’s Vintage Store.
Mrs. Lee was a cloth-cutter in Korea. She even had her own store on Anderson few years ago.
She knows how to make clothes, how to fix clothes, and how to make Good Burgers.
California burger, shakes, and salsa are all made by her.
She also plays a guitar and base. Isn’t she so cool?
