History

Established in 1991.

The farmers, Larry Butler and Carol Ann Sayle, began growing a big garden in Milam County in 1982. In 1991 they started selling organic produce from the Milam County farm to customers and also to Whole Foods Market. In 1992, they bought the 5-acre Austin farm with its 184041 historic farmhouse, and began to grow even more produce. The farm stand is located on this farm, 3414 Lyons Road, in East Austin, 2 miles east of downtown. Market days are Wed and Sat, 8 – 1. The farm has been featured for its Smoke-dried Tomatoes on the Food Channel and also on Home and Garden TV.
