History

Established in 2007.

Dr. Amis is a fellowship trained hand and orthopedic surgeon. He has practiced in Austin, TX, since 2014. His sub-​specialty training was at the CV Starr Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship in New York, NY, the oldest surgical hand fellowship in the US. This consisted of a year and a half of intense surgical training beyond orthopedic residency in hand, elbow, and shoulder joint replacement using minimally invasive techniques, corrective osteotomies and tendon transfers for congenital or acquired limb malalignment or deformities, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, trigger finger, CMC or thumb basal joint arthroplasty, finger joint replacements, wrist arthroscopy, wrist replacement, wrist fusion, elbow arthroscopy. Part of this prestigious fellowship included rotations in Melbourne, Austrailia, at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre, and at Texas Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, Texas.
