Avenue Nails & Spa

I’ve been coming here for around 2 years now. I’ve had standard manicures, pedicures, gel nails, and SNS nails. The gel and standard nails are par for the course as far as I’m concerned; generally the quality varies on those depending on the technician, but I’ve had three SNS nails done and 2 out of the three of them were phenomenal. The colors are beautiful and vivid and there was absolutely NO chipping for three weeks. For two weeks they looked freshly done.
The atmosphere is relaxing, the chairs are nice, I’ve never had to make an appointment (though I should note I also come on weekdays during odd hours) and almost every technician I’ve had has been super sweet and attentive. Also, free wine.

Let my just start off first with saying Avenue is extremely clean and the place has a very luxury vibe to it when the prices are pretty cheap. I got a pedicure, facial, and my eyebrows waxed by Vivienne.
I got the signature pedicure mostly because it offered a hot stone massage, and my knees were killing me from running in the morning. It was so relaxing to sip chardonnay and have someone take the time to do a great job on my feet. She also put waxing gel on my feet which made them feel so soft!
I got the express facial, Hand down my favorite part because she took the time and gave me a great neck/​shoulder massage. Very relaxing with the soft music in the background and the hot stream hitting my face.
Last I got my eyebrows down and they turned out beautifully!
Overall I gave this review 5 stars because the prices are reasonable to cheap for what I’m asking for, and place is clean and very up to date with style. From the time I walked in to the time I left was just overall relaxing. Most importantly they take their time doing what you asked for instead of making you feel rushed or worse not doing something correctly.

I absolutely adore this establishment and their employees! Every time I enter and leave it’s a pure JOY! (Note) I’m super picky!!! That being said, it’s very relaxing eg: no Tv’s, but a beautiful water wall and a very relaxing fish aquarium! Also, everyone I encounter can accommodate my needs or wants… I’ll keep it that short… Please give them a try and you’ll see for yourself!

Today was my first visit to Avenue Nails & Spa and I was very impressed. It is very clean, relaxing, professional, and they did a marvelous job on my nails. If you want a true spa experience and not a quick in & out nail job, I highly recommend this place. I’ll be going back!

My husband and I went in for a pedicure. Today was his first time, even though he was shy and all. His manicurist tried her best to make it as comfortable for him as possibles, she did a really good job cutting his cuticles and scrubbing his callus. Both of our manicurist were really nice people and did a great job. And of course the massage was awesome!!! Even though I had 3 different people working on me, I didn’t mind it all. Because my first manicurist had an appointment so the guy manager has to come over and continue on the massage. And boy, he got some strong and smooth hands. It felt great!!! After that one of the girls came and took over on the polish. Which I don’t mind at all. I’m pretty sure she polish better then him. … I felt royalty. In all, the service was great, I felt so relax at the end. I will definitely be coming back.

I have been going exclusively to Avenue nail salon for well over a year and a half.
six months ago I had an infection in one of my nails that had to be treated by a physician, I had to take strong antibiotics, a hole drilled in my nail to relieve the pressure.
I called the salon to report what had happened they told me the owners were vacationing in Mexico and would get back to me as soon as they return home, this never happened.
I was very clear when I spoke with Holly that I did not expect anything monetarily just wanted to let them know that this had happened, I gave her my telephone number and she said they would call me upon their return.
this never happened.
A simple phone call with with an apology or even a fake attempt at the minutest amount of concern would have been nice.

Holly is amazing. I love it when a nail tech takes their time. I came for a pedicure and I love that it was only $ 30 for the service provided. It is so convenient to home which I love. I wish more places could take their time like holly did. It really is considered great customer service and literally makes or breaks the company. I usually never go back to places that rush through pedicures. Thank you holly!

THE BEST! I went to Avenue today for probably my 10^th time. I live downtown, so it is quite out of the way, but I am more than willing to make the drive for this salon!
Every time I’ve been I have had excellent service. I always get a shellac manicure and a pedicure (sometimes the «Avenue» pedicure, sometimes one of the longer, more elaborate ones). The set up of the salon is great — from the arrangement of the colors arrayed by color to the wine, waterfall, and fish tank — very relaxing!
Today, Vickie did my nails (for the second time) and did an amazing job. Wonderful attention to detail, meticulously checking the shape of each nail and the evenness of the polish. The massage was wonderful and she is so sweet and kind!
I have also had my nails done by Tia several times, she also does a wonderful job and is very careful, paying close attention and making sure each nail is perfect!
Overall, wonderful salon — they do a good job waxing eyebrows, great massages, overall very reasonably priced, it is always easy for me to get an appointment, professional, clean, and courteous — I highly recommend it — ask for Vickie or Tia!

Last year I really enjoyed going to this salon because it’s close to my house, never crowded, the pedicures are great, and the salon is very nice, calming and clean. It was certainly worth the $ 5 extra they charge for a basic pedicure over most places.
But Saturday’s experience was nothing special. I couldn’t believe the lack of time spent on everything – on my nails, on the massage, etc. Basically I paid $ 5 extra to come to this place only to be rushed through a pedicure. When I got home I had to cut a hangnail that was never removed during the pedicure.
So yes, it’s convenient, it’s clean with a nice atmosphere, but after this past experience I will not return.

I begrudgingly give this place 4 stars. I would rather give them 3, but solely because the owner/​manager wasn’t very friendly. In the end, Tia’s AWESOME customer service and their amazing massage chairs won me over. Seriously, Tia is a wonderful human being and I would recommend you request an appointment with her.
The assumed owner/​manager (because he did absolutely nothing besides tell everyone else what to do) sat me down in a massage chair without saying there would be a wait and just let me sit there for like 15 minutes. Tia was doing another pedicure but made sure I was comfortable. She even did the same for another lady right after she began my pedicure! Which I thought was awesome because she obviously wasn’t going to be doing that lady’s pedicure.
I’m kind of a tomboy and pick really neutral colors, but Tia took the time and picked out some nice spring colors for me that were more appropriate. So unnecessary, but so sweet! One of the best customer service experiences ever.
In the end I was really really happy I came here. This place really is very clean and has great staff and equipment! Ask for Tia!

Update: it is not new management! I had a chance to speak with the owner today and understand that I came on a rough day. I’ve been coming here a long time and will continue to! Never had such a nice conversation with a business before. Love this place!
A couple months ago this would have been a five star review. Under new management, I hate to say that I won’t be coming back. Despite making appointments the wait is long, quality and skill isn’t the same, and energy is frantic and impatient.
Today, I made an appointment and several children went ahead of me for pedicures. The young woman dropped hot rocks on me, and burned my feet with parafin wax.
At least the wine glass came from the freezer.

Pretty setting but the man at the front was not polite. They rotate through technicians fast. Laila was the best they had and after they fired her they fired the Lo Ann too. I ended up tracking down Laila at PJ Nails on Bee cave road and am going there instead.

Avenue is one of my favorite nail salons in Austin. They take their time, the chairs are comfy, they offer you a beverage (wine being one of them!) and above all else, it is so clean.
My only complaint is after they spend all that time painting your nails they just slap on the top coat, not taking it all the way to the edges of your nails, creating visible ridges when it dries. But other than that they do a great job and are very friendly!

I like to come in here the shop so nice and clean no smell, they do the SNS very Healthy Natural nails last long, strong nails feel so good after I done, zero drying time, vitamin E calcium, Laila she do very good pedicure she so busy make appointment with her she take care you very well, I will come back.

Great atmosphere… Beautiful, calm and relaxing… Waterfall, indirect lighting and a complimentary beverage… and no chemical smell…
Na provided excellent service with pedicure and eyebrow wax… And she was quite enjoyable to talk with… I plan to return.

My BFF and I went here one day and loved it! They do great work and are so friendly! Everyone was great! Their massages are to die for! Loved it! Will be back!

First of all, I’m not a fan of 3 star reviews. I’m usually of the opinion that something is good or it’s not, plain and simple. However, this place really has me torn, so I’m giving it a 3 for its potential.
The good —
It’s clean. It’s affordable (but there are places you can go for $ 5-​$ 10 less for a mani/​pedi). The massage was longer than most other salons — and for the manicure they even do your neck/​shoulders which I love. You get free wine (and refills if you ask!). The polish selection is also fantastic!
The bad —
They scrubbed my feet so hard I literally started bleeding, and a week later I still have a scab (picture uploaded). NOT OKAY! What’s worse — they uncharged me for this «service». And then proceeded to try to sell me on many other add-​ons, including a monthly membership (you pay a fee every month to get a discount on services). To top it off, 3 days later my nail polish was already chipping.
I love having my nails done, but I like it to be a relaxing activity. The over-​selling of add-​ons and scrubbing my foot until I was bleeding really made me start to forget about all the positives this salon could offer. Overall, I doubt I’ll go back.

One of my girlfriends asked if I wanted to meet her for a mani during lunch. Manis or pedis are something I’ve sworn off during lunch because they’re less relaxing due to the time crunch.
Not here, though. It’s super close to work. And the space is beautiful. It feels more like a spa than a typical nail shop. And the color selection, wow, just WOW!
I opted for a pedi this go round. The pedicure thrones are super comfy. And I had no qualms about slipping my feet into the pedicure tub after seeing that they always use a fresh liner for each pedi. Nice!
I even got to use a Unilocal Deal this go round. 4 stars for location, color selection and the awesome design. Minus one star because my feet weren’t as smooth as I would have liked after my treatment, but my sparkly polish sure is pretty! As the Terminator would say, «I’ll be back.»

Received a flyer this week in the mail with a coupon that is good through the end of the month, for about $ 25 you can get a express mani and pedi. Right after my service I was listening to the radio and there was an add for this place also offering the deal, so you could reference the add on the radio. It was good through Sept 28.
They are open Mon– Saturday from 10−7pm. They offer all types of services nails, facials, hair removal, and eye lash extensions. They even have a special nail service for kids. With their services they also offer some complimentary drinks including wine, coffee, soda, juice boxes (for kids), and bottled water.
I had been looking for a nail place near my place and was super excited when I saw the flyer. I I would never have known this place was there as it is located in a new development set up the hill a bit off the side of the road. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you walk in you feel a bit more relaxed. I loved the green and bamboo type décor, the waterfall glass, and large fish tank. Even though the place was hopping with people, it was still quiet with a low light setting. They have the great comfy manicure and Luxury human touch pedicure hairs with the wonderful massage settings. I also liked that they dispose of the supplies after each person — very sanitary.
I had made an appointment earlier in the day and when I arrived I picked out a color and was taken to one of the chairs, were they first used a temperature gun to test the temp of the water. I sat back and enjoyed my lovely chair message while my feet happily soaked in warm water. I only wish they would have had some magazines as I ended up waiting for a bit. They were a bit busy, and only had a handful of technicians, so I waited about 45 minutes before I saw someone. Thankfully I wasn’t in any hurry.
My pedicure and manicure ended up turning out great, and Tracy did a wonderful job. I paid a bit more to upgrade the manicure to gel polish, and my nails are beautiful. For an express pedicure it is a bit more pricey than some of your run of the mill fast food strip mall nail joints — but I have always had horrid experiences that usually end with bleeding toes walking out of those joints. I am willing to pay a bit more for a relaxing experience and quality sanitary conditions. In the future without a coupon my express pedicure would cost $ 28.
