We used Austin Windows Fashion for the first time about 4 years ago and was extremely impressed with the quality of work and service. We worked with Tara Kulvicki and she was very knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. Their pricing is very competitive as well. We were looking to install plantation shutters throughout our home, so we contacted several companies for estimates. Not only was Myra at Austin Window Fashions the most knowledgable, but she was the only one who offered a name-​brand, high-​quality wood product, as well as being the best priced! She was very helpful and friendly, and made herself available to answer all of our questions. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Our installers, Jason and Eddie, were great too! They arrived on time, and were very friendly and professional, as well as efficient. I couldn’t believe how quickly our home was transformed!

Setting up an appointment was easy. Tara was on time — she did all the measurements, helped me choose the material (she suggested the lighter shade to go with the white window frame, and the shades look fantastic!), and she answered all of my questions during and after the appointment. It took a little over two weeks before our shades were ready for installation, but it was worth all the wait! Chris came on time, did the installation, and the next time I checked on him, he has already installed the nice shades for my window!

My husband and I worked with Leslie Plas to have a couple of shutters installed in our home office. We first walked into their store last year and were impressed by how much Leslie knew about shutters. When we finally decided to go ahead with the shutters, everything was done in a very efficient and professional manner. Leslie came to our house, took some measurements, gave very helpful advice, and 2 weeks later our shutters were already being installed. The installer was also very efficient and professional. I would recommend this company for real wood shutters!

I bought a home a 1 ½ yrs ago & have been renovating ever since. I didn’t want to buy blinds because I wanted to save up for shutters since they bring so much value to a home, are energy efficient, timeless, and look beautiful from the inside and out. I went with Austin Window Fashions because I’ve worked with Leslie before and no one is more knowledgeable about shutters/​blinds then she is. Also, AWF has the best quality shutters with a lifetime transferable warranty.
Less then 1 month after my order, Amy called to schedule the install, she made it fun, so excited for me to get my shutters (Woohoo!) Jason & Eddie were due to be here between 3 and 5 pm, the doorbell rang at 3, no chance to get my tan on (lol). They were very professional and friendly, I could tell they were worker-​bees — No slacking with these guys — they went right to work. Jason took the time when they were done to explain the warranty, the correct operation of the shutters, and gave me advice on how to clean, etc.
An awesome experience all the way around from Leslie, Amy, Jason, & Eddie. I really don’t know why anyone would want to go anywhere else. Thanks again for a wonderful experience AWF!

If you are thinking about window treatments, look no further. Ask for Myra. She’s is fantastic at what she does and has a great personality. Super easy to work with and has a wealth of knowledge. For installation, you’ll want Jason. He is super professional, truly loves what he does and the company he works for. He did a great job and did it fast.
I opted for shutters and they are stunning. Life time warranty and 100% Texan! I also did a roller shade for my sliding glass patio door and it is just beautiful. I shopped around and they were competitive and offered superior products.

Annie was a great salesperson. She came out to the house with her samples and helped me select exactly what I wanted, and then gave me multiple options to both demonstrate different product prices, as well as show price groupings for savings. Tip: there’s substantial savings with volume discount. It was a little challenging that it ended up taking three trips to the house for measurements, as we both work weekdays on the other side of town. I also struggled some with scheduling install– for some reason the communication wasn’t really happening there.
The first install went well and I requested a few adjustments. Jason did the adjustments and did an excellent job as well. I appreciated that he spent time showing us how to operate and care for the shutters, as well as explaining the (great) warranty.

Leslie was kind and attentive as soon as we walked in, and really impressed us with her knowledge of options for blinds. Quality blinds are truly a whole world unto themselves, as strange as it may sound, and we were pleasantly surprised to get such an interesting education on the topic! We even had a little tour of the space in back where all of the blinds orders are made. It felt (and feels) good to support a small business, from the front of the house to the back of the house.
My husband and I just bought our first home, and we wanted to treat ourselves to «nice» solid wood blinds, having been used to the cheapie variety you get in rental properties. We were walked through all of the available options, and Leslie made great recommendations based on the existing windows in our home. She went above and beyond, looking up our home on the MLS to count our windows, which gave us the most accurate estimate possible. Leslie provided a realistic timeline for the completion of the project, as each customer’s blinds are made to order (!). She even scored us temporary blinds to cover our windows, which was great, since it allowed us to move in worry-​free ahead of the completion of our order. Now that the real blinds are installed, they look amazing! We have a lifetime warranty on a beautiful accent to our house. I forget the exact style we chose, but they have extremely wide slats. They can completely black out a room, or let almost as much light in as if the window were completely uncovered.
I’m told I need to give a shout out to Jason, who installed our blinds. Jason was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, showed up on time, and made quite an impression on my husband. He was really impressed with Jason’s knowledge of his trade. Again, we are floored by how much Austin Window Fashion’s employees know about the business! To Jason and Leslie, thank you so very much! Our home is one of the most beautiful on the block, thanks to you!

The customer service was amazing from the beginning! Leslie was very knowledgable and timely with everything we wanted or asked for. I was referred to Annie Pirhonen at Austin Window Fashions by my mother and also a client. After building a new home I was exhausted by all of the decisions that had to be made. I was so happy that I was able to work with Annie who was able to really help guide me through all of the choices available with custom plantation shutters. She has such a positive upbeat attitude and made the process so easy. She came to my house, took all the measurements, showed me samples and matched the paint to the trim color. Buying and moving into a new home is exciting but overwhelming at times. There are so many things to do… so when you find a company that makes things more simple and streamlined it is a very good thing!
What makes Austin Window Fashions different is that the sales rep will come to your home, show you samples and measure your windows. Then you order. Then they show up and install in minutes. No need to come back out to get second measurements. Voila, all done.

I just bought a new home and all I knew was I wanted plantation shutters. I Unilocaled window coverings in Austin because I honestly didn’t know where to start. Austin Window Fashions came up and I read all their amazing reviews and figured they were who I wanted to go with. I stopped by the store one morning and met with Laurie. She was so great, knowledgeable, kind and super helpful. When talking to her about the shutters we talked about doing white and I happened to mention it would be cool to do black and she said they could I was thrilled! Black would be edgy and match with the scheme of my house so well. She came out to take measurements and was so quick with it. Windows were ordered and once I closed on my house they were installed.
I must admit I envisioned the way my house would look with the shutters and had moments of being nervous that once they were installed they wouldn’t look good. Well I met with the installer the morning the movers came. I left him to help pack stuff up and when I got to the new house with the movers he was finished with the windows and I was blown away! They looked AMAZING and exactly how I envisioned them. They matched everything so well and the floors looked great with them too. Most definitely worth the money I spent because I LOVE them and a lifetime guarantee on the shutters is a peace of mind. I completely recommend using Austin Window Fashions to anyone what a great team!
