Don’t go here unless you are desperate. Long wait times(up to 8 hours), unpredictable clients, and homeless people hanging out.

I’d give them negative stars if I could. My treatment here has been consistently unsympathetic, condescending, and brusque, and it’s gone consistently downhill. I only continue my treatment here to keep up my medical records up to date.

The level of care provided by this entity is abysmal. Not only are dozens of complaints outstanding however complaints are not even answered. An evaluation done by the Texas Department of State Health Services show that in 2012, 24.9% of the people entering this«service center» were worse off when they left. Please research and complain to Central Health, Travis County Commissioners’ Court and your state legislative representatives. You are not alone.

The lady who did my financial assessment here, Susan Ledsme, is homophobic. I went in with my wife and she came up with a really stupid reason to turn us away. She told me that they didn’t accept my insurance, which doesn’t cover mental health care anyway. I kept trying to explain to her that I didn’t have mental health coverage and her response was that it didn’t matter and I’d have to just go to a regular doctor and see if they could help me somehow. Susan’s office was covered in religious stuff, and when she said the word«partner» in reference to my wife, she did a little uncomfortable shrug and pursed her lips. She had absolutely no desire to help me. We called the complaint number when we left and they told us that she WASNOTALLOWED to turn us away! The lady at the complaint line was furious that she had treated us this way. It’s a really f*cked up thing to turn away someone who’s having mental health issues because of your religious beliefs. If there was a hell, this lady would burn in it. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Today we received a call from them asking if we wanted to set up another appointment. My wife told the woman on the phone that I had no interest in coming back there after what happened. The lady on the phone said there was«a misunderstanding about what your insurance covered» and that Susan didn’t realize I didn’t have mental health coverage. Bullshit. I told her several times that my insurance didn’t cover mental health care. This was not a misunderstanding. She had even responded to my lack of mental health coverage by telling me to try going to a general physician. Why would she have said that if she«misunderstood» my coverage?
