History
Established in 1981.
Although incorporated in its current form in 1981, rowers have been training on Lady Bird Lake as Austin Rowing Club since the late 1800’s.
ARC is the only non-profit rowing club in Austin. ARC’s mission is to promote rowing in the City of Austin, and to promote Austin rowing across the nation and around the world.
ARC hosts several nationally recognized regattas each year, and offers free and low cost rowing instruction to everyone: from beginners to elite athletes. Some train for recreation and fun, others train to compete. ARC rowers hold several National Championship titles at the high school, open and masters levels.
ARC takes pride in being the most affordable rowing option in Austin, and all coaching is included within one low fee. Visit our website to learn more!
