Specialties

When you step into Austin Pizza Garden, you step into history. The old «Patton Rock Store» now houses what many consider to be the best pizza in Austin, as well as vintage wines and premium beers. Come have a slice with us and get a real taste of that old Texas Charm!

History

Established in 1986.

First and foremost, the pizza garden is a family operation (not as a Mafia familia), a real honest-to-goodness, down-home, hill-country family.

The story actually began in Indianapolis when my daughter, Debbie, did exhaustive research in pizza creation by traveling to New York and to Italy sampling the best and deciding what they wanted to create for a new pizza restaurant. The results: two restaurants named «Bazbeaux» (an old Italian food taster and court jester). Bazbeaux pizza has been voted the best gourmet pizza in Indianapolis since they were established

in 1986.

My daughter taught my brother and his son how to make all those pizzas, sandwiches and lasagna. All that was needed was a site with the right setting. Not long after, «The Old Rock Store» and the former home of Gardenville, became available for lease. We grabbed this beautiful

100 year-old historic landmark, and the Austin Pizza Garden was born!
