Austin Gutter King

Recently Austin Gutter King installed the gutters on my home. That is the best experience that i ever had with a contractor. There was a minor design issue when they did it the first time. When i mentioned that issue to them they immediately came and finished the work to my satisfaction. Thank you very much Matt, Victor and your crew. I highly recommend you to all my friends.

what could i not say that is fantastic about these guys? my brother (aka my landlord) is a major perfectionist. he met gary and crew, who literally spent hours showing him samples and answering his thousands of meticulous questions before being hired for the job. their level of patience and professionalism with my brother deserves 5 stars in itself…
…but then there was the work. i imagine that our job was one of the bigger residential projects they’ve probably taken on. not necessarily for the size, but the number of edges and turns in the shape of our roof is ridiculous. the downspouts had to go to very specific locations, and we had to get two sump pumps installed because our home is downhill from the street and we wanted to send the water to the curb instead of our neighbors yard. AGK coordinated a LOT of projects and people and schedules to make this whole thing come together.
their customer service is really great. we had to call them back out for a few things, and they were always so responsive and helpful in fixing any issues. if you want an average job go with the other guys, but if you want beautiful gutters and fantastic customer service — go with AGK.

AGK was prompt in coming to my home, listened to my needs, made suggestions, and found 2 wonderful solutions to my problems. Measured accurately and voila, on install day it was smooth and professional. Dane was installer. He was efficient and very nice. He took great care in making sure I was happy with my shades. They really do keep a lot of heat out by shading from sun. I would order again and highly recommend this company. Great job. Debbie, Killeen.

I was very impressed with the level of service I got from AGK and would recommend them to anyone. Needed some gutters installed with a rain barrel. The price was right, they suggested 6″ gutters and I agreed. I had a few of requests during the install and all exceptions were exceeded:
1) starting point of gutter to be attached as high up on the fascia as possible since the slope would cause the bottom of the gutter to be lower than the fascia
2) rain barrel installed, they suggested I get a rain barrel from a 3^rd party to lower the cost! I doubt many other installers would be that honest about pricing
3) use 20ft sections instead of 10ft, my runs were about 15ft long max so with the 20ft sections I didn’t have to decide between seemless gutters or not, these were waaay cheaper and just as good
They were pretty low pressure during the initial sales pitch. Plus the color turned out really great, I know I picked that part out but I am just really happy with the way things turned out!

I ordered a SunSetter retractable awning and stationary awning from AGK. I am more than thrilled not only with the installation but also with the continuing excellent customer service I receive. The awning had a defective arm and AGK replaced it under warranty. It was recently making a strange noise in the wind and again AGK swiftly took care of it. I highly recommend Gary and his capable staff!

Contacted them regarding an installation and was told that one of their consultants would contact me within 48 hours. Those 48 hours came and went without them contacting me. Don’t be surprised if you get the runaround in one way or another.

I had two Sunsetter retractable awnings installed, and AGK did as close to a perfect job as I’ve ever experienced. I have had a lot of work done on and around my home in the last year or so, and AGK was the only company that never missed an appointment, never broke a promise, did exactly what I asked, and left the work area at least as clean as it was before they arrived. I recommend the company wholeheartedly.

Thank you AGK! Once issue was raised to management they were swift to respond and repair. Fault is on Sales Rep who no longer works there and failed to bring my issue to the attention of Mngt.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my gutter project performed by AGK. Roofers had just completed installing a very expensive metal roof and I wanted something that would last long as it will. The sales rep came over promptly and listened to all my concerns about getting old and having to replace it again with retirement money. He explained all the types that could be used and would require little if no leaf removal. I made the choice and the work was completed before the weekend. I just wish my roofers had been that prompt. The final cost was reasonable for the product. I will rest comfortable for the years that are ahead of me, knowing I will not have to worry about my gutters.

We got gutters installed in August. I had some miscommunications via phone and email with our estimator, understandable ones, as well as some check in the mail issues. I really appreciate that the estimator was honest about where we should get rain barrels within our budget. My husband and I were really impressed with the guy who came out and actually installed the gutters. He communicated well and did the whole job on his own. Helped us figure out our rain barrel situation which we purchased at various other places. The gutters perfectly match our paint and really blend and look nice, nicer than our actual house (yes we need new paint). We have had several intense rains and for the most part everything works great and I am really happy with our new gutters and less fearful of future house flooding. The parts I am a little bummed about have to do with a faulty rain barrel (not their fault that between the rain barrel & the clogged downspout water was shooting out the top of one of the front downspouts) and us wishing we had gotten leaf screens on all our new gutters not just half. My husband feels that downspout screens should be a standard on all gutter installs now that he has done the third leaf clean out on the front gutters.

I called 3 different companies in Austin and 1never returned my call, 1 took weeks to finally give me a quote and the quote looked like it was written by an grade school child. AGK were prompt gave me a professional well written quote with pictures and options and installed earlier than was quoted. I recieved a follow up visit to check the work and make sure I was satisfied with the work preforme. They also improved the limited gutters I had on my home and matched the color to my house perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone. The gutters improved my residence and worked perfectly.

We had a great experience with Austin Gutter King. Based on that experience, I believe the communication issues that seem to plague every person hiring a contractor are taken seriously by the AGK team.
SALES: Our sales rep, Matt, came to our house just a few days after we requested an estimate and spent nearly two hours with us going over options, making recommendations, and talking about various pricing. He never gave us the hard-​sell once we let him know our needs were very simple, and he didn’t pressure us to make a decision on the spot.
PRICE: Once we got our written estimate, the price was in the middle of our 3 different company estimates. Since we liked Matt and appreciated the quality of the work they’ve done in our neighborhood, we put down a deposit and set a date for the installation.
INSTALL: The installation crew showed up on-​time and worked non-​stop to get our house done in one day. Everything looked great! We chose the straight-​faced gutters for a more modern look, and you can barely tell they are there.
SERVICE: After installation, we noticed that we didn’t like the color of our «valley shields» and asked Matt if we could switch them out for a different color. He responded immediately, and said «no problem.»
The quality inspector came by a week later, and I watched him go up and down the ladder all the way around the house — an actual quality check … go figure! He even replaced the valley shields while he was there.
After a few months and a couple of giant showers, the gutters work like a charm and still look great. I’ll update in a year or so.
OVERALL: Considering the constant disappointments we all share with contractors, we can say that Austin Gutter King is one of the good ones.

I NEED gutters. Gutter King SELLS gutters. Good match, right? Not necessarily. A Gutter King rep was across the street giving a quote. I asked if he had time to give me one as well. He didn’t have time to do that, but was kind enough to stop by, let me know they were booked two weeks out, give me his card, and recommend I contact Gutter King to schedule an appointment. I emailed the company ⁶⁄₂₈ but haven’t heard back. Such high Unilocal ratings too.
UPDATE: While I would have been happy adjusting this review significantly higher and editing my comments had I had subsequent professional contact with Austin Gutter (and they really are in the gutter) I won’t do that after receiving what I believe was a petty, petulant response from the President himself of the Gutter company:

I was unpleasantly surprised by your review yesterday and am concerned because it is not an accurate reflection of our service. Also, we have no record of contact by you prior to the July 2^nd @7pm email below. In my opinion. a reasonable response to our perceived lack of communication via email would be to pick up the phone and call for an appointment. The Unilocal review is beyond reasonable. My opinion is that our company is not a good fit for you. There are other great companies in Austin that will serve you gladly.

I had two calls from Victor who does the scheduling. The second call was that I had better take the appointment or I’d go to the bottom of the list.
I talked to the two men who came to install the gutters about the cleaning up of any leaves or messes. I had paid someone to clean my beds and put in new mulch. The installers blew most of the leaves back into my bed.
These gutter covers are very expensive and I felt that the service I got was poor.

If there are Superheroes of installing gutters, these guys are it!
They did about 100 feet of work for me on various parts of my house and did a great job. It even rained hard the next day and I watched the gutters work perfect!
They were on time, friendly and at a very fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a great experience with Austin Gutter King (AGK) back in April 2013. My salesperson was Justin, who was a joy to work with. I had a few companies comes out for a bid, and AGK came back in the middle. Due to my ongoing house renovation project, the scope of my gutter job changed on several occasions as did my requested date of install. AGK was very accommodating and flexible throughout all my changes. The installers did a good job and the gutters on the whole house job turned out fantastic. I highly recommend AGK if your looking for new gutters.
I’m disappointed to see the few negative reviews here on Unilocal,but I also understand the filtering tool on Unilocal is hiding many excellent reviews for AGK. For those of you who don’t have access, AGK has an excellent rating on Angies List!

I got my gutters a year or two ago and I did not like shopping around (I did shop a little. They’ll tell you to check Unilocal… That’s why I finally decided to write this review.) I ended up quoting with the 2 largest Austin gutter companies. Both presentations and promises were relatively similar. AGK ended up being less expenseive for what I wanted so I went with them.
They showed up on time, followed up, took my CC payment over the phone. All was good. As a first time homeowner, I asked random questions and got answers.
There are two minor reasons I deducted 1 star (and I would have given 4 ½ stars if I could). In the initial presentation, the sales rep was bashing other companies a little (not a lot and not as much as the other company bashed AGK when told the competitor that I was going with someone else). And, there was a promise that the workers would not smoke while at my house. I think they upheld that side of the deal, but when the workers first showed up, their breath smelled like they licked an ash tray. I’m sure they finished the cigarette right before they pulled into my neighborhood. (They obviously stayed outside and I didn’t talk to them after initially meeting with them, so I was bothered by it too much.)

It’s hard to «rave» about gutter work, but these guys did a great job. They were efficient, communicated well, and the gutter work they did was impressive.
The quality of the gutter installation was excellent, and the color of the materials they used exactly matched our house’s trim. I’m really happy with the entire experience I had with this business.
The process of getting my gutters installed went very smoothly. I called and scheduled a time to get a quote. The representative showed up on time and gave me three detailed quotes based on different price points. The representative explained each of my options, made recommendations, and answered my questions. Later that day, I accepted the quote and paid a 50% deposit. A week later, I got a call that the installer would be at our home the next day and explained that my wife and I did not need to be present for the installation. The next day, our new gutters were installed. The day after the work was complete, my credit card was charged for the remaining balance.
The professionalism of the team at Austin Gutter King was outstanding and their work was great. I would happily recommend this company to others.
