I scheduled to have my garage floor done with David a couple of weeks before we closed on our new house. David was traveling right before since it was the weekend after Christmas. He literally got off the plane and came to work. He did an amazing job. Everything came out terrific. I will not hesitate to use him again to do our back patio in the spring. If you want the job done right don’t hesitate to use Austin Epoxy Floors. Fantastic.

I contacted David to do my garage floor after reading his other positive Unilocal reviews. I have to say that he lived up to my expectations. He came by for a quote and his prices were within range of the competition. I mainly picked him because he focuses strictly on epoxy flooring rather than offering it as an extra along with other garage-​related services. Epoxy flooring is his main focus and I wanted someone with lots of experience that could get the job right the first time. The results were exactly what he said they would be and my garage looks outstanding now. I would readily recommend him to anyone looking to improve the appearance of their garage floor.

We just moved from Austin to Driftwood. I LOVE my garage and have always painted and epoxy’d the floors myself with those kits from Lowes or Home Depot. This time I decided that before we moved in, I would have a professional do it. I called David, left a message and he called me right back. The next day we went to the house and he gave me a quote. My garage is a four car so it’s big. David showed up the next day and laid down the paint and chips, then came back the day after and did the top coat. It’s the MOST beautiful garage floor I have ever seen and I’m not exaggerating. David was outstanding, professional, on-​time, and lived up to all my expectations. Even the builder stopped by after it was done and was amazed at how it looked. We picked the Portabello color and the brown star with the Red Ring. After it was all done, I even saw him put some top coat on his fingers and touch up tiny little spots in corners and around the garage door. I didn’t even see them. (He is a perfectionist). I can’t praise David enough for what he did. I WILL be recommending him to everyone I know.

When we were closing on our new home, we knew that getting the garage floor epoxied was a high priority. Of course, I used Unilocal to source some vendors which is how I located Austin Epoxy Floors. David with Austin Epoxy made the entire process easy. He was able to meet us the first day we closed, provide a quick, reasonable estimate and he even started work a day earlier than anticipated. David also removed our water softener from the garage since we were at work at the time — he went above and beyond. David was professional and his work is great. Knowing that his work comes with a 10 year warranty is a huge plus for anyone looking to make the investment. We love our new floor and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I was looking for a vendor to complete my garage floor. I have been thinking of doing this for a number of years and finally took the next step. I looked at various providers of epoxy floors as well as interlocking floors and narrrowed the search down to epoxy. After checking my top 3 providers I selected Austin Epoxy Floors after talking to David and getting an estimate.
He was here when he said he would be to start the job, explained the time period it would take, and started the work. He finished the job right on schedule and even helped me move some large items back into place. The floor looks great and the quality of the workmanship is first class. He was able to add a large decal under the clear coat and it sets my floor apart from ordinary floors.
I recommend David for this type of work as he is price competitive, punctual, and delivers a great looking final product that I think will last for many years.

Everything was perfect. Right from receiving quote to competing the garage epoxy job. David was very professional. Infact he even came back a couple of days later as promised to clean up dust from grinding that accumulated on garage door. Definitely going to get him over again to do driveway staining.

I recently moved to Austin. I had an epoxy floor in my garage in Phoenix and loved it. In August I searched for companies to do my floor here. It was done 8÷28÷14. I wanted to wait over a month to post this review to see how I really felt about the new floor David did for me. From the beginning, I thought it was excellent and even better than my Phoenix floor. Now I’m even more convinced of what a great job David did. I love the way the floor looks and cleans up. Almost everyone who sees it comments positively on it. David showed up when he said he would and did excellent work and cleanup. If you don’t have an epoxy floor … get one. If you do, you’ll be completely satisfied with Austin Epoxy.

It sounds like David works hard and does good work, but I got lost at the quote stage. I told him I was very flexible on the time, and he said he could probably take a look at my garage project that evening or the next (which would have been 5-​star awesome). When he didn’t call the first evening, I tried calling the next day to confirm he still intended to come out, but his voicemail was full. I emailed through his website, summarizing the project again and offering to send hi-​res photos instead, to save him time (though I’m centrally located), but never heard back. I know from dealing with prior contractors that you’d be foolish to hold your breath, so I went ahead and did the project myself. However, I feel it is rather inconsiderate to leave someone hanging — just decline the job and I’ll happily make other plans.

To go with the other reviews, David is on time, hard working, and delivers an excellent product. He uses superior quality materials as compared to our other quotes and he uses a diamond grinder to prep your floor. His quote was in line with, and in some cases, cheaper than others.
The texture is fantastic and the floor is easy to clean up.

I spoke to three companies about my floor. I had done it myself 15 years ago and the old epoxy needed to be removed. Longhorn came out and looked at it and didn’t act like they knew what to do and said it was gong to be very expensive to get the old epoxy off. They had to do research and then they were going to call me back. I never heard from them again. GarageApes came out and wanted to sell me storage racks more so then getting my garage floor done.
At this point I had two days invested off of work and nothing had been done. My biggest concern was I didn’t feel like I could count on them to get the job done and show up. I live in the country and it is a hassle to get to my place. Imagine moving all your stuff out of your garage and then nobody shows up to work when they said they would.
I called David, within 10 min. I had the install date set, the plan in place, the color picked and the price. The best part was he didn’t need to look at the floor first.
Don’t waste your time calling around. If you want your floor done call David and don’t get tricked by the monkey and don’t get stuck by the horn.

The review from Joe L. is nowhere close to the experience I had with David.
We were looking to get an epoxy flooring for our 3 car garage. I searched on Unilocal and contacted three different vendors, one of whom was David.
He dropped by the house and gave an estimate for the time/​cost and was out in 15 minutes. He was very friendly and seemed like a no nonsense person.
The second gave me quote over the email, was courteous, but was 30% more than David and the third was someone who didn’t seem to have an interest in the work; came over to estimate and I had to pursue him to get a quote.
Needless to say, I went with David.
David came over at the indicated time and worked hard with very few breaks and got it done ! My wife and I are very happy with the service and the product and would recommend David anytime you need an epoxy floor. The flooring has changed the look for the garage and is easier to maintain.
He’s very friendly and has some interesting stories to tell. He’s become a friend.

Again, flawless work on the back patio! David really knows what he’s doing. I wish I had more stuff to get epoxy’d cause I sure would use him again. I would not recommend them.
Part of the reason you consult a professional to do work for you is because they do their job everyday; they know the products, they know the procedures and they’re equipped to get the job done… right? Being a consumer, you have to do your homework and research the product and the procedure somewhat. The rest of what you learn you’re taught by the professional you hire. You rely on their integrity and if they appear trustworthy you hire them and they do the job. Hopefully they do the job the way they tell you that they’re going to.
I didn’t have that experience when I hired Austin Epoxy Floors. They rushed through the job– didn’t clean the floor well, didn’t acid wash it like they said, didn’t rinse it enough, didn’t let the floor dry enough, applied the product unevenly on a day that was too warm (they should’ve known better). I paid them out of good faith. As soon as they got paid, they stopped all communication.
After 4 months, my floor is peeling up, chipping and overall looks like a mediocre floor coating. I wish I had received the service that others have been raving about.
Austin Epoxy Floors oversold and under-​delivered in my case. In order to get what I wanted, I’ll have to pay for the job to be undone and then redone. It’s a shame.
