Atomic Tube – Vintage Audio and Radio Resurrection

Alberto fixed an antique radio for us a while back, and did an exceptional job. It looks and works great. He was so attentive to detail and just about as nice as a person can be. You can tell he loves what he does.

Alberto at Atomic Tube is just awesome. I found a 1961 Curtis Mathes Record Console with 30 Watt Tube amp powered by EL84 tubes. The player and amp was in good shape but the left side had reduced gain. I called Alberto and he was very informative and knew so much about the unit and how to fix it. He came out to my house and took the Amp and Player back with him. He checked it over, cleaned it up, reviewed and replaced capacitors/​transistors, put in new tubes, new cartridge and needle and had it back to me within a few weeks and now it sounds amazing. He did all of this for a «VERY» reasonable price and is very willing to talk with you about anything you ask and is very detail oriented. Since then I’ve also had him retube/​rebias my Egnater Amp with new EL84 and 6V6 tubes, also for a great price. I will use Atomic Tube always from now on for anything I need tube or vintage related. You won’t go wrong calling him! Another interesting note, he has a vintage LP Cutter for single 45s from the late 1950s if you want him to cut any of your songs the same way they did it Mid Century, I’m going to try it soon.

Can’t say enough good things about Alberto. We had issues with our 60’s-era console and he made multiple trips back and forth to our house to help repair it and resolve the issue. Now its working great and we are enjoying our vinyl! He’s extremely knowledgeable about this equipment, patient and very reasonable. On top of that, he’s genuinely a nice guy and a pleasure to work with.
I highly recommend hiring Alberto, there’s no reason to look elsewhere for this kind of specialized work.

If you don’t use Alberto as your amp tech, you’re making a mistake. He’s fixed my Dr. Z twice for the same cost as the bench fee of where I used to go (which rhymes with Austin Smintage Huitars). Great guy, incredible service!

Fantastic service.
I brought in a Bassman to be recapped. Alberto had the amp ready in two days. He also changed a microphonic preamp tube and replaced the very worn electrical cable, both at no charge. His fee for the recap was very, very reasonable to begin with.
To top it off, the amp now sounds great. Highly recommended.
