If you want to pay Mr. Alba and his«crew» to damage your home and property and refuse to stand behind his work or replace what is damaged then this is your man. I could write an essay but to be concise I hired Mr. Alba to do tile in the bathroom and a few other handy man items as a referral from a floor specialist at Home Depot. Nothing I repeat nothing was done properly and the cost to dig out will be more then what I paid to him. The man(his brother) who put in the tile did not use spacers, used too much thinset and did not use backerboard. It was a terrible mess. Instead of agreeing to remove the tile and redo it, Mr. Alba sent his brother back to try and dig out the grout and he then applied sanded grout(the wrong kind) and put while caulk on top of the grout to try to disguise the grey thinset showing underneath and to try to «glue in» the grout because there really wasn’t enough room for grout due to the over use of thinset. Mr. Alba then spent DAYS sending one guy or another who had no level of carpentry skill whatsoever to again dig out the second round of grout to replace some of the outer tiles which were reinstalled in a much worse fashion then the first go round. His painter put so much semigloss on the trim as badly as a five year old would(this is no joke) that this had to be removed with paint stripper. His crew stood in my new $ 1200 tub leaving scratches and a gouge where mortar got on the side. In addition tile sealer was left all over the tub and expensive fixtures. Basically I am going to have to pay someone to demo out the tile, redo the botched paint job, retexture the wall that was done very poorly and replace the tub. He gives you a card that says he is bonded and insured which he is not. You can contact me for pictures.
