Shane Epperly & Susan Epperly LMT are Licensed Clinical Massage Therapists in private practice, specializing in pain relief through Clinical Massage Therapy.

We incorporate a unique and powerful combination of therapeutic techniques into our practice, including Trigger Point Therapy; Myofascial Release; Cold Laser; Postural & Gait Analysis; Kinesio Therapeutic Taping; Spray & Stretch Muscular Release Techniques; the use of the Deep Muscle Stimulator (D.M.S.); and LPG Endermologie & EndermoTherapy. Susan & Shane are also Personal Trainers, who incorporate Power Plate Accelerated Whole Body Vibration Training to help clients reach their goals.

Each one of us has a unique set of specialties to offer, as well. In addition to being a Massage Therapist, Shane is a Certified Flexibility Therapist, and therefore incorporates P.N.F. stretching into many of his sessions. Susan has received training in Negative Pressure Cupping Massage, and often utilizes this modality.

History

Established in 2006.

Since becoming licensed in 2006, Shane Epperly & Susan Epperly LMTIs have enjoyed seeing our own private clientele, working as an independent contractors, and working as employees at some of the Austin area’s most prestigious spas.

We have been proud to work at the beautifully appointed San Saba Spa, which is the crown jewel of The Lakeway Resort on the sun-​drenched shores of Lake Travis in Lakeway, Texas.

As independent contractors, we have provided table and chair massage services to various Austin area companies including Book People, Dell, KB Home, Calendar Club, Austin Massage Clinic, Performance Wellness, The Tower Health Club & Spa at the Hilton Hotel Downtown Austin, The Trinity Spa at The Omni Hotel South Park, The Renaissance Hotel at the Arboretum, and The Dell Jewish Community Center.

We have also provided sports massage services at sporting events such as the Valero MS 150 Bicycle Race, The Motive Buffalo Stampede Half Marathon, and The Decker Challenge Marathon.

Business Owner

People always ask us, «Did you meet in massage school?» The answer is no. Already married since 1994, we ventured into the world of Massage Therapy together in 2005 by enrolling in Lauterstein-Conway’s 300 hour Massage Therapy Program.

After completing T.L.C.‘s basic program in 2006, we chose to advance our education by enrolling in Texas Healing Arts Institute’s 290 hour Clinical Massage Therapy Program. Taught by T.H.A.I.‘s directors, Dr. Kirsten Kern, Ph.D. and Dr. Eri Weinstein, Ph.D., this renowned program focused on Dr. Janet Travell’s study and documentation of Trigger Point Therapy; Myofascial Release Techniques; Postural and Gait Analysis; and Structural Bodywork. Susan completed the program in 2006, and Shane followed in 2007, both with a 4.00 G.P.A.

This program has prepared us to approach our massage practice from a highly clinical perspective and to harness a collection of therapeutic tools that allow us to provide our clients with powerful pain relief.
