A Tex Shredding

Wow, what an amazing experience for what most might think is a mundane task. Found these nice folks after a quick internet search, and they could not have been more accommodating, friendly and reassuring. The cost was very reasonable, the customer service was well above what most businesses offer, and the ease and convenience was icing on top. It’s rare you walk out of a business feeling like Tony Robbins just gave you a pep talk while collecting your shred, but they really are that nice! Use them and you absolutely will not be disappointed with the entire experience.

A Tex is absolutely fantastic! Customer friendly (they actually seem glad to see a customer walk in), helpful, extremely cost effective, and downright worth your business.

I first used them about 3 years ago when I had 8 or 10 boxes of personal records to shred. Today I had 6 small boxes. In both cases the cost was most reasonable, and she shredded them right there in front of me (it took about 10 minutes for today’s shredding).
While I was there she was very friendly and personable, treated me like I was her only customer, and was even able to converse with me while shredding my stuff (the shredder is noisy but not all that loud). I also found out that all of their shredded material goes to a recycling center, as do the cardboard boxes in which the records were carried in — I like that!
They only take walk-​ins between 11 – 1 almost every weekday (call anytime and listen to the recording for the hours they are working on any given week). They will also arrange for a pick up, particularly if you’re a business.
I high recommend that you take your shredding to them, you’ll be glad you did!

Fast, easy, nice staff, and ¹⁄₃ the cost of office depot. Hint: call them to see when they will be open for drop-​offs (sometimes they are open more than what is posted on their website.)

Shredding is a very unexciting task but after spending an hour in front of mine and getting a third of the way through one box and had four more to go, I began to appreciate this kind of service being available. And A-​Tex is great. Very nice and inexpensive.

Friendly staff and quick service. Not everyone has space for their own personal shredder, but nowadays document destruction is a necessity. Thankful for A-​Tex consumer services!

TAKE YOUR CHECKBOOK or CASH. They can process credit cards but their internet service is iffy, so it may or may not ‘go through’.
Luckily I had enough cash on me, so was covered, but the other two blokes were in a bit of a jam.
Fast, friendly, and affordable. They are located on the end of the southern corridor.

Nice folks, easy to work with, and the price is right. I like that there is no minimum so I can bring in just a box or two at a time. In the past I’d wait until I had 5 boxes full since most places charged that as a minimum.
I also like that they are locally owned and we are helping the local economy.

I needed to have 48 banker’s boxes full of files shredded and my search for a place to help started and ended on the first call. Spoke with the owner of A Tex, very friendly and helpful, and said I could come by anytime between 11 – 1 during the week to unload. Showed up one day and was greeted promptly by the friendly lady running the shredder, who also helped me unload everything.
When I asked about things like the occasional 3-​Ring binder, metal file tabs, etc., that might screw up their shredder she said no problem, she’d separate out anything like that when she got to it. That right there saved me a lot of time on the front end for not having to sort it all before I got there. I also had a few hard drives that they also took, at no cost, to dispose of on my behalf.
Very reasonably priced and sent a certificate of destruction to me by email. This is the kind of place I like to do business with, small enough to care yet big enough to get the job done right!

After cleaning out my home office and filing cabinet; I realized I had accumulated 3 large boxes of paper that needed shredding. I quickly determined my home office sized shredder and I were going to spend hours together and likely it would mean the end of said shredder. My wife suggested that I find a paper shredding business to take care of it and we did a quick search and found A-​Tex Shredding.
Man, am I glad I listened to my wife, this time!
We brought the 3 boxes to the location on Burnet (during the advertised drop-​off hours of 11am to 1pm). They had a very friendly staff member there taking in and shredding papers. She quoted us $ 7 a box. I happily paid her (note that they only take cash or check) and went about my day (now cleared since I wasn’t going to be sitting in front of a 10 sheet at a time shredder for 8 hours).
I can’t say enough good things about A-​Tex. Convenient, great pricing, friendly!
Now I need to determine why I have a home office shredder at all. We’ll be back with more boxes of paperwork for A-​Tex to shred in the future.

Over the last year, I’d accumulated a couple grocery bags worth of documents that needed shredding, but I don’t own a shredder. I searched for a local business that could do my shredding and found A-​Tex on the web.
They were awesome! No minimums, super friendly, and you can watch them shred your documents while you wait. Cash/​check only, but my shred job was just $ 5! Easy peasy. Really appreciate having a local business who can meet my needs. Definitely recommended!
