History

Established in 1990.

My present lifestyle began in North Carolina 30 plus years ago when I started cutting hair. After events came to pass that were to change my life’s course, I moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. There I continued to further my experience in barbering and serving the public, preparing me for my move to Austin when my family was transferred in 1985, and this is where I have personally bloomed.

A Barber Shoppe was opened June 1,1990. It has been a continual blessing to me and to all that pass through its doors. I am excited about what is presently happening and that I am no longer limited to one location. Now I can share with the rest of the world a bit of what God has blessed me with and allowed me to be a steward of. I trust that when you visit this site and have a chance to experience The Shoppe for yourself, you will also be blessed as so many others. Let me hear from you whether it be positive or negative. This will only help me serve you.

Here’s the dirt: I’ve been going to Ms. Jane’s shop for a couple of years now. She’s family. She’s been cutting men’s hair for over 30 years. She’s got old school talent and technique, and she cuts an excellent fade. Treat yourself to a good shave and haircut, and good conversation.

Relaxing, comfortable and will leave your skin very, very smooth.
Steaming hot towels, relaxing lather, face and neck massage, and a skillfully wielded blade of steel.
I *despise* shaving, and as thin as my ‘beard’ is, I still need to get it shaved off every few weeks.
Jane is a consummate professional, and gives great haircuts and shaves. Her new location in the Gallery of Salons in northcross mall (c-​7) is a little hard to find, but a one stop shop for all your hair and skin needs.
