Mudra Dance Studio is 501©(3) non-​profit organization that uses the language of dance and music to promote diversity. Our dance style combines rhythmic movements and discipline of the North Indian classical «Kathak» (dancing story) with folk and modern elements. We teach the folk styles of Bhangra and Raas/​Garba as well as the eclectic Bollywood style. Our goal is to build the dancer’s skill and confidence as they flourish in their journey of dance and beyond.

History

Established in 1993.

From humble beginnings in a basement with three students, Mudra started in 1993 growing to 100+ strong today. Due to the passion and talent of our founder and artistic director, Namita Khanna, the studio has produced 15 stage shows, including 10 original productions and 5 recital shows. Mudra celebrates East Indian cultural diversity using the medium of dance and music. Students of all ages and background are welcome; passion is the only prerequisite
