I’ve visited D’lux Nails & Spa at least a dozen times over the past few years and I will go back in a pinch, if there aren’t other viable options. Sadly, I’ve seen the service steadily decline. When I first visited the shop it was clean, well-staffed and the technicians were friendly and efficient. They’d always offer me something to drink(usually a bottled water) when I sat for my pedicure. On this last visit, I realized that things have really changed. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and the shop was packed! I sat for about 20 minutes or so waiting for a chair. In all fairness, I didn’t make an appointment, and I’m not certain that they take them. The wait wouldn’t have been so bad but for the fact that an abundance of people getting services that day brought along their entire families with them. The shop was overrun with kids and other«extras» that weren’t paying customers. Once seated for a deluxe pedicure, I wasn’t offered anything to drink. I just turned on the obligatory massage chair and had a very mediocre experience minus any form of relaxation. I’m well aware that this is a nail shop, not a spa. However, I felt like D’lux Nails was striving to offer a more upscale experience based on my first few visits. It’s the memories of those services that prompted me to bump this up to a three-star spot instead of a two. The people who work here are perfectly nice and professional but they seem a little harried from herding folks in and out like cattle. If I decide to go back, and I’m in no rush, I think I’ll target a weekday visit when the kids are in school.
