Camp Bow Wow Aurora fetches peace of mind for pet parents with our premier doggy day and overnight Camps®. We offer the highest levels of fun, safety and service for our Campers. The first Camp Bow Wow opened in Denver, CO in 2000. Since the Colorado-​based company started franchising in 2003, Camp Bow Wow has awarded over 200 franchises in 40 states, plus one in Canada. As Camp Bow Wow grows, our simple philosophy remains the same: It’s all about the pets!

Our Canine day Campers spend all day romping and playing indoors and outdoors with other furry friends and get lots of attention from our well-​trained Certified Camp Counselors®. Overnight Campers even get special «campfire» treats each night before lights out, when they are tucked into their own spacious Camp Bow Wow® cabins. Each cabin includes a comfy bed with a fleece blanket to curl up on in a climate controlled atmosphere. Campers from the same household can even stay together in the same cabin. In addition, Camp Web Cam monitoring and professional security systems make sure all our Campers are happy and safe!

Camp Bow Wow Aurora opened in October 2014, and is part of a national franchise that has been operating since 2003. CBW Aurora is growing every day with new customers interested in our high standards of care and safe, fun environment for their dogs.

Craig and Alex W.

Business Owner

Craig and Alex moved to the Aurora area with the intention of opening this Camp Bow Wow. They saw it as the perfect opportunity to combine their love for dogs with their love for Colorado. «We have been coming to Colorado to ski for many years, and wanted to move here. When this opportunity came up, we jumped at it.»

This was no small task as they were moving from Portugal. Alex was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. Craig is from Winston-​Salem, N.C. When they met, Craig moved to Portugal and they opened «Il Caffe Di Roma». This is a franchise coffee shop/​restaurant based in Spain. They ran a very successful franchise for 10 years, winning top franchise sales for 8 of those 10 years, before selling and deciding to move to the U.S.A.

They have a desire to get involved and join a community. With their business experience and love of all things dog related, they are becoming a valuable addition to the Aurora community.

We absolutely love bringing our dogs to the Aurora Camp Bow Wow location. We have 2 dogs that are 40 – 50 lbs each. The facility feels like home to them. They are excited the moment they enter and leave well rested, loved, and tired. My older dog has specific medical needs and the staff knows exactly how to monitor his needs and dispense his medications. We love being able to check in on the webcams and show them off to friends and family. We’ve boarded the dogs here from simple day trips to weekends out of town to our 2 week honeymoon. The individualized care cannot be beat!

Can I give zero stars?? Friendliness doesn’t exsist here nor does showing my dogs love and affection. I took the day off work for a trial run and spent much of the day watching the webcams. All these dogs were able to do was walk around all day following the employee, who by the way looked like a robot. I expected my dogs to be treated with love — disappointed!!! But love Dugan’s Dog House!!!

It’s been a little over a month since Ice been bringing my dog here and I still love it. The whole staff is awesome, especially Teresa and Amber! Benson gets so excited when we’re a block away because he knows he gets to play with all his friends!

This is our favorite doggy daycare and boarding place. Our dog Daphne LOVES it here. She gets so excited to go and has so much fun playing with the other dogs and staff. It makes us feel so much better about going out of town, knowing that she is having so much fun while we are gone. The staff truly cares about the dogs and always greets Daphne by first name when she walks in the door. They even have live stream video so you can watch your pups play. Highly recommend!

All of the staff are so friendly. They remember my dog by name when we walk in the door. They don’t get flustered when my crazy pup jumps on them or knocks office supplies off of the front desk. I know I can trust them to take good care of her while I am at work or out of town. My high-​energy pup is so exhausted when I pick her up, she usually passes out in the car before we even get home! And Camp Bow Wow is located conveniently just a few blocks from my house. It is also super-​affordable! We are very pleased with everything they have to offer.

Big fan of this place! We travel for work and occasionally need a place to drop our pup off for overnight care. Camp is great! Theresa is SO good with our dog. She helped our rescued pit mix (who can be scared of new places) feel right at home. He still shakes a little when he walks in, but as soon as she calls him back, his tail wags and he walks back willingly! I also love the cameras in the playrooms. This makes us feel a little bit better and more connected when we have to leave our fur baby overnight. Plus, he loves the food! They also offer baths, nail trimming and other services. For $ 40/​night, we feel more at ease that these dogs are in a safe place and will be treated well.
As long as your pup is well-​behaved, he/​she will do fine in the camp. Just make sure your pup’s vaccines are up-​to-​date (including canine flu virus)!

Friendly, helpful staff at CBW Aurora and they take care of and love our pup Charlie very well! I believe that this is the best one in the greater Denver area. We used to board with Broomfield and the south Denver one, but Aurora has the sweetest staff for sure.

Everything!!! My frenchie loves loves loves camp and everyone there. I really love that the team is so accommodating and understanding of our unique situation. I honestly do not know what I would do without their kindness and support. There is no better feeling than when my dog gets excited to go to camp especially since most day cares he runs from.

I have a 13-​yr-​old and a 1-​yr-​old, and the staff at Camp Bow Wow in Aurora is very cognizant of both their needs. Recently, the 1-​yr-​old had his first solo trip there, and he was clearly having some hard moments without his older sister there to comfort him. He’s a shy dog who took a long time to become appropriately social. I was just watching the web cam and saw him struggling and getting a little anxious. Immediately, a counselor went over to him to pet him and calm him. They clearly care about these pups.

At first this place is amazing the prices are great, their staff is very friends I can’t complaint about their customer services and the fact that you can watch your dog on live web cam is awesome
However I left Leo for boarding over the weekend for 3 nights and the second day after watching him on the live cam I noticed he was not acting as his usual happy self he was just sitting down not playing at all, I thought he was just missing home … Picked him up and they tell me that his leash was bitten off my another dog who in their own words «is known to bite of leashes», no biggie because they replaced
It with a new one. I dropped him off at home and went to work… my husband gave him a bath and then calls me because he notices scratches on him and he said Leo was acting strange like if he was sick … I’m thinking he was roughed up by the dog or something. He isn’t confrontational at all so I’m sure he was probably bullied
The reason I’m giving this place 3⁄5 stars is …
1) if they know they have a dog who has a problem with bitting off leashes why don’t they keep a close eye on him/​her.
2) dogs will be dogs but if you leave your dog in a day care is for him/​her to be taken care of I don’t like the fact that my dog has scratches on his body that could have potentially been avoided if the staff is keeping an eye on our pets
3) Leo has been to 2 other day care and never has he acted this way after picking him up, his behavior was really strange
Their clean facility and nice staff makes me want to give them another try but I will be discussing this with them before I leave my dog there again

We love Camp Bow Wow and love watching the cameras and how the staff interact with our pets. I have always believed in taking our pets to day care even if I am home. I find it is great to help the socialize so when they are out they are used to all types of dogs and how the react. The staff is beyond professional at Camp Bow Wow Aurora and really take care of your pets needs. I was so happy to hear when I asked about bringing in my old man and mentioned my concerns the response from the staff was fantastic. they said we pay attention to those guys and can pull them out hourly so they can take a nap if it gets to much. I was also told they ask the pet parents what they prefer as well. I have 3 dogs and a foster dog. I take ALL of them there because of how well the staff is trained! They are just amazing and always smiling. They are super helpful from the time you drop them off to the time you walk them out the door. They always ask if you want a hand out to the car and acknowledge the other pet parents waiting too while you are there to make sure everyone is treated in the utmost respect. Customer Service is huge to me and they definitely have the cream of the crop at this location. They will even help you get your pets out of the car for you when you arrive if you need help. All I can say is FANTASTIC! keep up the great work! I am so happy our dogs love you as much as we love you!

The people who work here seem to genuinely love being around dogs. We watched briefly on the camera and saw their employees affectionately petting the dogs. Our dog came home happily exhausted. He got great exercise and we were able to have contractors work on our house without worrying about him being disruptive. When we picked him up, we got an extensive report about his day down to the names of the dogs he played with. It was extremely affordable and convenient. They were quick to respond to my emails to set up the day and time.

Just the best! My dog is older and they accomodate his reduced activity level. The people who work there are really dog people so they get my dog. Their main objective is that my dog is safe and feels loved, we watched them on the web cams and they are very involved, even on the weekends. Thanks guys

I have never put my boy in a kennel, so I was very leary as I entered. I met the owner’s daughter who manages the place and she gave me the tour. This place is immaculately clean! And the employees genuinely love dogs. They play with them, pet them, give them love! I was very impressed with the facility and the staff.

I have been taking my dog Lucky to Camp Bow wow since they opened, he absolutely loves it there and comes home worn out. One thing that sets this place apart is the fact they really give the dogs attention and love. I HAVE TAKEN MY DOG TO A FEW OTHER DAY cares but they pretty much just ignore the dogs. I would recommend Camp Bow Wow.

My dog Woodrow always has the absolute best time at Camp Bow Wow. He always answers positively when I ask him if he wants to go to day-​camp. It is so nice to look at the Camper Cams and see how many dogs/​who of his favorites are there to play at any given time as well as check in on him during the day and see him having so much fun. He always comes home well rested which is a miracle for his Boxer/​Ridgeback energy mix. Finally I’ve found an adequate solution to his needs on snowy days and days where I am too busy to give him the attention he deserves. I also love being able to drop him off for a bath on the fly after a particularly muddy day at the dog park (like today).
It is so important that my dog stay healthy and I was very impressed with the fact they require current shot records, provide Bordetella boosters on site, and also conduct a very thorough interview for all interested campers. I know Woodrow will never get himself into trouble with illness or aggressive dogs and nothing is more important than his safety. There is never a shortage of water and they are very conscientious of bloat and the importance of providing adequate rest time between guzzling water, eating, and going back to play.
Theresa and the rest of the staff give Woodrow such great attention and care. They knew us both by name after his first visit and are always happy to see him. Their passion really shows and is reflected in my happy puppy when I pick him up. The prices are very reasonable and to those people, like myself, who treat their dogs like children, no price is too much for quality care. There is no where else that I will ever take Woody for day-​care. So happy to have found Camp Bow Wow Aurora!

Really disappointed in our first stay here. When we went to pick up our dog, they didn’t know where his leash was and gave us the wrong food. I’m very concerned he was given the wrong food to eat while there. And he was extremely dehydrated. We won’t be taking our dog here again.

We left our two dogs with Camp Bow Wow Aurora on a Saturday and for the week of Christmas. During the first visit, we asked them to bathe the shih Tzu and to clip her nails. When we picked her up, she smelled like maybe they had washed her down, but they certainly did not bathe her, and furthermore, her nails were never clipped. They told us their groomer was gone, so these reviews about the wonderful groomers at CBW are irrelevant.
After the week of Christmas, we picked up our dogs and were charged over $ 400 for seven days. During that time, we observed the attendants on the webcam consistently paying little or no attention to any of the dogs, including ours. They just walked around the room and in and out.
The other dogs were allowed to pee all over our dogs, so that when we picked them up, they were stinking and filthy, certainly not my idea of professional doggie day care. They smelled like they had been in the dog pound.
For the exorbitant prices they charge, you get very little for your money. I had to bathe and groom both of my dogs after picking them up before I could bring them into my house. They make a big show about how much they adore your animals. I would have preferred more personalized and professional attention and care for the dogs and less of their talk.
Also, when we picked them up, we asked for the remainder of the new bag of food we left for them, and they claimed our dogs had eaten it all. This was downright dishonest. I know what my two 10– and 20-​lb. dogs consume daily, and there is no way they could have eaten the contents of that bag.
In the future, we will either take the dogs with us as we normally do on road trips, or if we have to fly, we will leave them with friends we know we can trust to dog-​sit while we are gone. I will never leave any pet with these people ever again. I would recommend using neighborhood pet sitters who can provide your pet with a better experience than Camp Bow Wow.
