One of their trucks ran over my little garden, destroying the paver wall around it, and just drove off. I have had no response to my call to them about this. They also knocked over a recycling bin and just left that trash behind my garage.

We used this company in November 2014 and February 2015. Both times they were efficient, quick, and pleasant to work with. They worked really hard including moving a heavy piano and concrete planters and a concrete fountain with no complaints heard. They arrived on time if even a little early both times. They never stopped to rest until the job was done. There were no «hidden» fees or last minute intimidation games we’ve heard other movers use– the price was exactly as quoted before the job. On the February move one of my items was damaged. After emailing the business with photos of the damage they quickly responded within 24 hours and we settled on a reimbursement that was satisfactory. Accidents happen, and knowing that a company will stand by their reputation is rare in this day and age. I would use this company again.

Damage to the doorways and doors, damage to the furniture pieces being moved, and time charged pushed out to the next quarter hour results in inferior service. The guys were super nice, but that does not equate to good service. I wish I’d know about all the damage before I tipped them!

It’s hard to know whether the fault lies with Affordable Moving & Storage or National Van Lines(the former is an affiliate of the latter; the former did the packing of our stuff, the latter did the moving). In any case, more than $ 1,000 worth of our stuff(a big-screen television, rice cooker, other cookware, all of our bathroom accessories, numerous glasses, bowls, and plates) went missing or was broken between Denver and Santa Rosa, California. It was easy to see why so many dishes and glasses were broken: they had been hastily wrapped in just one or two layers of paper, no bubble wrap or cushioning. For this enormous loss we were offered $ 100 in compensation. And then we were asked by National Van Lines to pay more, over and above the estimate we had been given. Avoid both companies at all costs.
