So today my wife felt like eating Mexican food tonight. We knew this restaurant was on the way home, so we decided to go there to try it out. We got there at 6 o’clock and was quickly seated. They immediately brought out the chips and salsa and took our orders. We waited 45 minutes and our food was still not ready we then ask to speak to the manager. The manager came over to explain the reason why our food was so delayed. The manager stated that there was two large parties that ordered steaks for dinner that’s why our meal was taking longer than normal but they failed to tell us in the beginning when we first ordered. The manager told us he will give us a discount for waiting so long. When the food came out my wise breeder that she ordered had no flavor and the meat was burnt. After waiting for long we quickly asked for the check which took about 15 minutes to get. When we got our check it had no discount and the check had everything at full price, I told the waiter to speak to the manager about a discount. That also took another 15 minutes and the manager told us that he was only going to give us a 20% discount of each meal not the whole check(that was only $ 6). I told the manager we waited 45 minutes for food, 15 minutes for the check, and another 15 minutes to correct the check, he should definitely give more then $ 6 off. At this point the manager started giving us an attitude and stated that there are multiple restaurants that you will wait over an hour for food and that’s how the service industry is. I told them even with those restaurants Alizee give you it warning before you even order that it’s going to take awhile. The restaurants that do not give you a warning ahead of time are poor quality of service. We will NEVER come back to this restaurant nor recommend this restaurant to anybody else.

It’s been a couple of years since I was here. This time service was good and so was the steak fajitas.

This is my spot! Daily specials that will please you and your family. Fast and courteous service. When in the mood for the best drinks in the city, see Davita at the bar! She will set you straight! And don’t forget the delicious tacos on Thursdays. $ 2.50. Come enjoy!

Ambience. B Service. A Food. B+ Price. A Nice busy noisy ambience. Good service, all servers willing to satisfy and fulfill requests. Food is really good. I had the ceviche of shrimp and fish cooked in line juice. Moist and devious. I’m glad they offer spicy salsa alternatives and free hot nacho chips. Affordable. Most dishes under $ 10! I

I think this place has changed a little over the past year and the corporate vibe has really been amped up quite a lot. I’ve only sat the bar so I can’t speak for the restaurant area but I get really quick service at the bar. Yes, the appetizers sometimes get to us after the entrees but they all come home with us anyhow. The cheese dip is a must here or anywhere. You can’t go wrong with gooey goodness smothered in shrimp and fajita strips. I wish I could remember not to order burritos or tacos and just stick to drinks and appetizers but the colorful menus always pull me in. Their price point is pretty much in line with all the other Mexican restaurants in the area and bar service is more extensive and faster than other comparable places. Definitely crowded at dinner so I’d recommend takeout service and get a drink while you wait.

Hands down, the best Mexican food in Augusta. The food is a MUCH better quality than any other Mexican place in town. You get more for your money as well. They have great drink and dinner specials that are different every night. The staff is friendly and typically very helpful. The only complaint I have is the wait-time during taco night(Thursdays) — sometimes they seem understaffed for that night. The patio is awesome, however sometimes he service when you sit outside is much slower. Still my fist Mexican choice EVERY time!

Best Mexican food in the CSRA… love the carne asada but really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu… the sopa de polla(chicken soup) has healing powers especially when you have a cold… love the atmosphere and the location!

Love their table side guacamole I can’t get enough of it. I also enjoy their tacos. Ordered fajitas last time, they were no my favorite. We must had been put at a bad table we ran out of chips and salsa and had to ask for more… This had not been the normal for us.

I ordered the grilled steak tacos. The came with a cilantro and onion garnish on the side. The were not the best. My son asked for a nacho cheese burrito with ground beef and cheese only. The ground beef had onions in it so ask them to fix another one but the waitress said that’s how the beef is made, which would have been nice to know when it was ordered. So I ask for grilled chicken instead and they charge me the difference of $ 3 which was fair but did so without asking. Go for the drinks not the food or service.

When I think Mexican food in this town I think quick, filling and(relatively) cheap meal. Salsa’s Bar and Grill hit one out of three. As part of a fairly small birthday party group on a Tuesday night I didn’t expect the place to be too crowded but the restaurant was near capacity. We had one server for a table of nine diners and maybe that contributed to the delays but after getting chips and salsa everything else dragged on. We would wait for a long while between ordering, receiving first plates of food, all diners receiving rest of their food, and then checks. The food itself is decent. My double burrito especiale was not too tasty but plenty was on the plate. My wife chose a tostada and taco combination. They brought the wrong taco out(chicken not beef) and we asked them to bring the right taco but, again, the meal was filling and tasty. Oh yeah, even though the server was wearing a kitchen glove to carry the hottest plates he extended my wife’s plate to her bare hand. A little hotter and it would’ve burned skin. The price was a couple dollars higher per entrée than I’ve experienced at other Mexican restaurants(especially considering the quality and presentation of the food). Also, in the drink menu they had several higher priced cocktails($ 8 — $ 9). That plus the décor in the building and dress of the servers leads me to think that they think they are providing a higher quality Mexican dining experience but frankly it tastes like a $ 6-plate Mexican restaurant. If it wasn’t for the coupon another couple gave us, I would’ve felt the meal wasn’t worth it at all. I’d go back but probably only try the specials on food and drink.

I met up with my husband for lunch while I was on my lunch break. When I got to the table it was filthy. He told me the server asked someone else to clean the table after he was seated. When that person came out to clean the table, he cleaned the table in front of him. My husband flagged him down and the guy smiled and brought him some chips and salsa. Ok? Our server did make it to the table and asked if it was clean, when clearly it wasn’t. She then took my napkin and wiped part of the table. She never gave me another napkin… The food was ok. The service sucked.

My wife and I have been dying to try Salsas out for dinner! We never get to sit down for a nice meal and decided to finally go, tonight. We were quickly seated to our table. Very polite and professional hostess. Quickly served chips and salsa. Then our server took our drink order and our daughter’s dinner order. We got the drinks and cheese quesadilla really quickly! We then placed our food order. Our 2yo daughter drew on a piece of printer paper with an old pencil while we waited. We waited… and waited… and waited… Never received our meals :( I asked to speak to a manager. The bartender(not my server) stated that«He’s busy». They never put in our food order and wanted us to pay for our sodas and cheese quesadilla… REALLY??? I came home and ate a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich…

The décor and service were great! And the parking lot was packed! And they had mints to give you on your way out! But the food was«Mexican» in the same way that Taco Bell is «Mexican.» Bottom line, if your grandma wants to go there and is paying, you will survive.

So I was missing my Mexican Comfort food from home in San Antonio, and decided to try out the well rated Salsa’s Bar & Grill. Started with the Fresca Margarita w/the Herradura tequila. Very tasty, so I had two just to make sure. They brought out the standard chips and salsa(which I was dying for). They bring out 2 Salsa’s. One is basically tomato sauce. The other is a blend of canned tomatoes w/fresh cilantro, peppers and onion in it. They added something spicy to add just a touch of heat. While not homemade the way I like it, it was tasty. Adding a side order of Pico de Gallo helped make it a better consistency and flavor for me. Although the peppers in e Pico were not hot. Oh well. My entrée was the Shrimp Diabla. I was hoping forest and spice. Instead I got ranchero sauce. While it had a good flavor, it was far from Diabla! The black beans and rice were good. I was disappointed that they did not ask me, nor did they bring tortillas /the plate. I actually had to ask. The menu is extensive, so I am sure I will have to return to give them another chance. The staff was friendly and attentive, and that did make up for some of my disappointment.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Augusta. They have the guacamole casero, where they bring the cart of ingredients to your table, and they make the guacamole fresh in front of you. The food is good quality too. The staff is very friendly and are competent when it comes to expediting orders. When I want Mexican, this is the first place that comes to mind.
