My fiancé and I came into town for the weekend and decided to try gold panning. The woman that helped us was sooooo nice and helpful. She also was very considerate of our budget and got us out the door with everything we needed for 20 bucks. Definitely going back!

Used to be the only prospecting shop in the area. Most of their stuff is WAY overpriced. They do have dredge supplies and wetsuits. If you are looking for just about anything else such as pans, detectors, sluice boxes, picks, etc… try Big Valley Metal Detectors and Prospecting Supplies in Citrus Heights. You will save money.

I love this place, I have stopped by when Frank(the gray beard wizard) was very busy but took time to explain several questions about maps and detectors that have helped me out tremendously. Everyone has questions and this shop has helped me out so i recommend supporting this establishment.

Your one-stop shop for prospecting(gold panning etc!) equipment. Remember this is gold country! They have a bunch of different kinds of metal detectors here… but the Real Men are hunting for gold in the river! You start with your gold pans, in many different sizes. Also you’ve got sieves in several dozen precision-calibrated granularities, for getting progressively smaller grains of sand, and hopefully gold. For the especially serious prospector, there are dredgers which you put in the river and, and sluices you can set up to sieve the bottom sediment. Intense.
