Monarch Carpet & Upholstery Care

Brad Thuman came to my home July 31 2015 to clean my carpet and remove a couple of stains. Carpet looks nice but the master bedroom has a gummy sticky residue in a small area about the size of a basketball. I watched him pour what he called a rinse on my carpet from a gallon jug directly on my carpet, no worries I’m thinking. He said carpet would dry by end of day. Saturday morning I checked carpet that liquid was poured on, and it was soaked. I got a fan and left it on the spot all day. By that evening it had dried. But the sticky residue was there enough to where you had to wash your hands after touching. I called Brad Thuman Sunday morning and he called back a little later. I explained to him the problem. He said it was the 3M solitions I put on the carpet when I shampooed it. The same stuff I got from Carpet One when I purchased my 4200.00 dollar carpet. I said it wasn’t there before you shampooed it. So are you going to take care of the residue or do i clean it with my machine. He said you can, wrong answer i Told him that i stopped paymennt on the check and when he rectify’s this issue I have I will pay him. On his terms if he came out again I would have to sign a paper showing he came out and would have to give him cash, instead okay no problem I will fix the problem. He demanded cash or he wasn’t coming out. My husband heard this and told him no cash, check. We live 25 to 30 minutes from the bank I just wanted the gummy stuff off my carpet thats all and be done with it. Brad Thuman hung up on us. I tried calling the shop this morning and his wife Denise answered and I told her I really want to take care of this with no problems. She said what ever my Husband says goes and hung up on me again. Mind you no bad words were exchange nothing. Very bad business with Monarch Carpet & Upholstery Care in Auburn CA. Find another carpet cleaner besides Monarch dont believe the testimonials you read they pick them out and post them. Next Im going to Better Buisness. My husband is 70 years old and Im in my 60’s we dont need drama.
