Always Grubbin food. Daily special was two enchiladas, a beef taco, rice and beans, salad and a soda, 12.39. Excellent after visiting the local brewery, Knee Deep Brewing

Made a pit stop here on the way back to San Francisco from Tahoe. I ordered a ground beef taco el gordo and the hubby got himself a chicken taco. Hubby like his chicken taco. I couldn’t finish my el gordo because it was huge. Taste was just adequate, but I didn’t come here with high expectations. We were hungry and this was right after the exit. My daughter finished the rest of my el gordo. She like the nacho cheese inside and the parmesan taco shell. My two minions ordered regular churros and horchatas and were happy with their orders. The toilets were low pressured so you had to flush multiple times just for the paper ring to go down, which defeats the purpose of water conservation. The men’s toilet would not flush at all because it was so full of accumulated paper rings. Ask me how I know? Well, when you have three girls who need to go bad and there’s a line for the women’s restroom and zero line for the men’s…desperate times call for desperate measures.

Not worth the price. I was surprised because it cost the same to eat there as it does in an authentic restraunt. The employees were rude and I will not be going back there. EVER!!!

I’ve been a long time fan of their steak tacos but I was really disappointed with my last two visits. I feel as though they are only a step up from Taco Bell. I got the steak taco and it was greasy, meat was blah and the shell was not crunchy I was devastated. Maybe it was just this branch, a girl could hope right. I’ll try the Fairfield branch. I mean how can you fuck up a taco?

I usually always go to this place and never have issues but today was disappointing. I was making an order through the drive through and immediately got attitude. Then when I thought she said something different she lets out a huge sigh like she was so annoyed and still giving me attitude and kept avoiding my question of what her name was. I understand we all have bad days but that’s what your getting paid for SERVICEWITH A SMILE. The employees need to be briefed again about customer service and professionalism. Btw the food is bomb though

Jimboy’s in Reno is way better, how can a chain be so different location to location? Humm Taco burger didn’t seem to have the whole patty in it. Chicken burrito was very bland. Think I’ll stick to the Jimboy’s I know.

The food was tasteless and greasy. I suppose I shouldn’t expect gourmet at a fast food joint but it made Taco Bell look like a 4 star restaurant. And we waited forever for our food. Ick Ick Ick. Never again.

WTH! Overpriced and mediocre. They can’t even make a decent carne asada burrito. Taco Bell would have been better and cheaper.

We always stop here on our way home from Tahoe. Fast food a notch above the rest! The burritos are fried on the grill! Just delicious. I usually get the bean and cheese burrito. My husband gets the chicken el gordo. It is one large taco. If you like salsa’s make sure to go instead as they have a salsa bar and you will get better salsa there then from the package salsa they give at the drive thru window. Only down side is the bathrooms really smell. They are large and usually clean but do always have an unpleasant scent.

It is great if you like greasy food. I ordered two tacos and could only eat one of them, had a bad stomach for the next 12 hours

The food at Jimboys is always excellent. The staff looked like extras from the movie Blood in Blood out. Tattooed people who never smile. The bathrooms were tagged and the mens toilet seat was broken.

This Jimboy’s always tastes great, but they just can’t seem to get a handle on their organization. The food generally takes quite awhile, so if you are wanting«fast food» in the drive thru… you get the picture. Still, good quality and when the Groupon deal is on for $ 20 of food for $ 10 bucks, it’s easy to feed everyone. Basically-4/5 stars for the food – 2⁄3 stars for the service.

dinner along hwy 80… after long hard cold boarding… stopped in snow covered roads and chain control… finding release from traffic in auburn… sunday tacos at jimboys and discounted… a challenge given and challenge accepted… six tacos per person… two dozen ordered $thirty-seven.thirty-two total… about $one.fifty-five per taco… not the standard small size… roughly eight inch diameter shell… half fried to light edge crisp and softer shell… powdered cheese pressed on shell for light salty cheesy taste… inside ground meat, lettuce and oozing liquid cheese… not bad for taco fast food gluttony… self-serve salsa bar… pickled carrots and jalepeno bites… squeeze of lime in taco to cut the grease… feeling satisfied after four… feeling full after five… the sixth taco a challenge, but finishing… mission accomplished!

It Dosn’t take much to please me when I’m hungry. This place was bad… I left feeling like I should have just gone to the Taco Bell up the street.

We stopped by Jimboys Tacos while on the way back home from Reno and one of my friends was craving tacos. They’re almost like Del Taco where they serve both Burgers and Tacos. Well, I had pretty much low expectations but that may be why my food didn’t seem that bad to me. Here’s my box of chow( ). Spicy Shrimp Taco — came with lime wedge and the shrimp was not bad. Chicken Taco — shredded chicken that was really dry. TacoBurger with Fries — this was probably the most bizarre thing I had and I actually loved it! It’s really quite a good idea taking the ingredients of a Cheeseburger and stuffing all of it inside a taco shell. I think it was Taco Bell or some other place that made something similar but it never took off. So yeah, my first experience with Jimboys was pretty much okay, though I definitely wouldn’t mind picking up another TacoBurger from them.

I love greasy food as much as the next person, but Jimboy’s is over the top. I had a beef taco and when I was done, I was left with a puddle of grease on my tray and a very bad feeling in my belly. Not saying the flavor is terrible, but it just isn’t worth the suffering. Better places to go in town, in my opinion.

Taqueria with training wheels. I never visited this place even though I have heard about it for years and pass by all the time I’m coming home from Reno. Today I decided to stop and didn’t know what to expect. The first thing I noticed is unlike Taco Bell or Del Taco it had combo plates, and I’m not talking about your typical #5 with taco, tostada and drink like at other fast food joints, this had one or two items with beans, rice and salad. I ordered the two taco combo and a drink. 8.99 for both were not your typical fast food price, but a little cheaper then a traditional taqueria. I waited in line and watched the guy at the cash register fumble every ones order. I don’t think he spoke English. LOL gave someone a coke by mistake instead of a diet coke then rather then tell the person he erred, he gave him another one(diet coke). The person said excuse me, you gave me an extra drink, and the cashier nodded and said nothing. Seems like the would have been a good time to tell the person it was wrong the first time. Back to food. The wait wasn’t too long and I went to salsa bar and grabbed me some salsa. They had 4 or 5 to choose from and I sat down to eat. Everything was pretty good, maybe a little salty for my taste, I used the one tortilla that they gave me and made a burrito with my salad, some beans and rice. The three star review is a pretty simple calculation. If I had time to go to a taqueria I would definitely pass on Jimboys If I didn’t have time and it was a choice between Jimboys or Taco Bell that’s a no brainer. Jimboys all the way.
