I went there on black Friday. 70% off sales. I bought a purse. The receipt only showed the final price. Before I left the store I checked the signs they had posted and realized that they overcharged me. The computer was not calculating the 70% off. I went to one of the 2 cashiers and she didn’t really get it and then told me that I had to get back in line. I had to wait 10 more min to be helped by the same cashier. She took 5 min to figure out she had to refund and re-ring up the sale. They probably overcharged everyone that day since the receipt only showed the sale price and not the original, no one can go home and check anything. When you are overcharged in MI you are supposed to also get 10x the amount of the overcharge up to a max of $ 5. She knew nothing about this and couldn’t help me. I filed a complaint in their website and chose Van Heusen, Someone from Tommy Hilfiger contacted me and told me they had no store with the number I gave them(438). I emailed them back again stating it was for Van Heusen and not Tommy and am waiting for a reply currently. Will never shop there again since they probably ripped over a ton of people that day with their registers not taking off the correct % as was advertised everywhere in the store and how they left off the info on the receipt. Most all other stores always show the % off to show you the savings, not them and for a big reason. I received an email from customer service telling me that they didn’t overcharge me because the MSRP was $ 5 more unless it was ticketed wrong. The only ticket on the purse says $ 49. They didn’t apologize and told me I was wrong for them ticketing the purse incorrectly.

I don’t really know how to review a well-established brand in a well-established location so I’ll just share my experience. I went on MLK day and caught the sales! Half the store was on clearance and the other half was on sale. I managed to snag a scarf that was retail priced for $ 50 and on clearance for $ 10. I texted in for a $ 5 coupon and later found a hole, so went back for a further discount bringing my price down to $ 2.50 + tax. Doesn’t get much better than that. Although I had never heard of the brand, as well established as they are, before MLK day, due to this experience, I am a fan, I will be back. Long live Van Heusen: D
