My husband got his suit for our engagement party made here, and two years later it still looks amazing on him! They did a great job fitting him, and worked with his schedule when he needed to fly up from Florida for a fitting and did really great quality work!

Fantastic. This was my first time ever buying a suit and the staff could not have been more helpful. Mike did most of the work in measuring and advising me for my suit. Rest of staff were extremely smart, friendly, and professional. The turnaround was also pretty quick. I ordered expedited service and waited 1.5 weeks for the suit to arrive. First (and only) round of alterations took another few days. Suit came out fantastic at the end. Highly recommended!

I’m 6’8″, so I can never find anything off the rack that looks right from a fit perspective. With Trio, I’ve gotten a suit and multiple dress shirts for the same price as off the rack clothing would cost. The only downside is that you don’t get the immediate gratification as you would purchasing something in store. Once you get a few custom fit shirts, however, you won’t go back to off the rack dress clothes.
The show room is a great, relaxed environment and I would recommend them to anyone.

Classy! This custom clothier makes awesome men’s suits and dress shirts. My husband has become a serious fan, and he just keeps coming back for more. This is now his go to place for high quality dress shirts and suits that fit right. When you first arrive for your appointment you are measured and the folks have a very serious convo with you about fit and details. Then you pick out your fabrics and all the other little details (lapels, cuffs, linings) that make a suit or shirt. They even have samples of different fabrics available so you can check the color and thickness or softness of a fabric before making your selection. Once you’ve placed your order they make your suits/​shirts. At the time of pick up, you can try on your goods and they will still make alterations as needed. Oh and did I mention the prices are comparable to store-​bought-​non-​custom suits and shirts? Yea. Boom!
PS they also sell ties, pocket squares, and other suit-​y accessories.

They made my wedding suit a few months back. The suit was definitely well made and looked great. Got tons of compliments and the wife knew she made a good decision with me. The guys at the shop were professional and gave great advise, really were able to help get the look I was going for. Will definitely shop there again.

I wear suits and dress shirts for my job almost everyday. My wife surprised me for my birthday and took me to trio to get a blue custom suit. It fits great and looks sharp! I ordered 8 shirts as well and mike made sure each shirt was perfect. I’ll be back soon to get another suit.

I have been thinking about what to wear for my upcoming nuptials to my partner. We are not formal people but would like something nice for the special day (19 years later and running off to Maine since gay marriages are not legal in Georgia). Since we will be on the water in Maine for the ceremony, I thought that linen might be appropriate for the day. Trio has a super easy internet site to use and you can schedule your appointment online.
Trio is right on 14^th Street, just turn at the Jimmy John’s sandwich shop and pull into the parking lot in the back of the shopping center. When we walked in we saw a small selection of fabrics to choose from. I thought to myself, oh that must be the «catch» — there are just so many fabrics to choose from. No matter, I found a nice linen that I liked for our pants. Then we started looking for fabric to go with our shirts (no we are not doing matchy-​matchy outfits — that would really be gay!) I thought, well, there aren’t many fabrics to choose from. Fret not! There were tons of books of swatches to look from!
Benjamin had some great color suggestions based on the color of fabrics we chose for our pants. He pulled some swatches and eliminated the need to go through all the books. There are there if you want to go through all of them but since Benjamin narrowed the choices — why bother?
So for the shirts, we had to choose collar type, front button style and type of cuffs. Oh here comes the «catch» again I thought to myself… But there was no «catch», there were no additional charges for our selections.
The pants choices were nice and simple — pleats, no pleats and cuffs and no cuffs.
My partner decided that he wanted a vest so he chose the same fabric of his pants but with a satin back rather than a solid one color and single fabric.
Measurements were quickly taken and a quick photo for the tailor to see how we carry our bodies and to verify the measurements. Measurements, photo, fabric choices and what items we want made will be sent to China. I joked with Benjamin that won’t the tailor/​factory be surprised that they are making something for their own peep!
Here is the cost breakdown: $ 49 for a shirt, $ 79 for a vest and $ 99 for pants. They can make tuxedos, suits and jackets too.
About 4 – 5 weeks later, we received an email that it was time to come in for a fitting. Super easy to make an appointment as you can do it online too! Saturday morning parking was a little more of a challenge since there is also an Irish dance studio so all the lasses were dancing away.
This time we were greeted by Elm and he greeted us by asking if we were his 11:00 appointment. We changed into our outfits that fit like a glove. Well, duh, it is custom made for you! Alterations? Please, not necessary in our case (I guess the diet isn’t working since the waist for my pants did not need to be taken in)
In conclusion, come on, where are you going to get a custom tailored pair of pants for 99 bucks? Even if you fine a nice pair of pants or a jacket off the rack, the alterations alone will make Trio a much better buy. So the next time I need some formal clothes, I already know where to go!

I had been looking at getting a tailor made suit for a while, and finally decided to move forward. I was never into formal wear, but I wanted something to make me look more successful/​professional. I was looking to spend about a grand for a suit, so I did a search, and saw the good reviews from Trio. I got my suit back today, and I look like money! A nice suit really separates the boys from the men. All in all with accessories, I spent about $ 600! Now, I’m looking for reasons to go out and show off. I have to add that the customer service is outstanding, and I hope they don’t jack the prices up, at least for a few years.

TRIO Custom Clothiers sells custom men’s suits and dress shirts at affordable prices. The store had its grand opening in March 2013, but the company has been around longer than that. I first heard about TRIO in 2012 from a friend and coworker. He was a groomsman in a wedding party outfitted completely in custom suits made by TRIO.
It wasn’t until recently that I started shopping for a new suit and decided to stop by TRIO’s Midtown showroom. Entering only with the intention to browse, I ended up ordering a 3-​piece suit before I walked out of the store. It didn’t take me long to get sold.
I shopped for suits at Brooks Brothers and the recently-​opened SuitSupply in Buckhead. All of the suits I found looked great, but TRIO had by far the best deal. An off-​the-​rack Brooks Brothers suit is anywhere from $ 700 to $ 1,000. Most off-​the-​rack Suitsupply suits start around $ 500. Suitsupply’s custom suits easily reach upwards of $ 1,000+. I also looked online at Indochino, but I was hesitant to order a custom suit online without seeing and feeling the fabric firsthand.
At TRIO, custom suits start at only $ 399 for a 2-​piece suit and $ 474 for a 3-​piece suit. At those prices for a suit that is tailor-​made to fit you and only you, why would you go anywhere else?
Co-​founder Mike Hu helped me through the entire ordering process. The environment was laid back yet sophisticated and unpretentious. I don’t know much about suits or men’s fashion, so I relied on Mike to guide me on style and fit. I wanted a basic grey suit. He measured me in great detail and then went over my fabric and style options. The process did not take long and I could tell Mike and his business partner Ben McMillan knew their stuff.
I ended up getting a slim fit suit. The jacket has narrow lapels, double vents, and functional sleeve buttons. Most off-​the-​rack suits have non-​functional buttons on the sleeves to allow for alterations (e.g. changing the sleeve length). Since TRIO’s suits are custom-​made for each customer, the buttons actually work and aren’t purely for decoration — a sign of a well-​made suit. The pants are flat front and the material of the suit is a wool blend. 100% English, Italian, and Hong Kong wool is also available.
The customization options seem endless and quite frankly, if you don’t know exactly what look you’re going for, can be overwhelming. Mike has great attention to detail.
The suits are made in China. Two weeks after placing my order, the suit had arrived to the store, ready for me to try on. A couple tweaks were needed so the suit had some final (complimentary) alterations made. A week later, I went back to the store to try on the finalized suit. It was perfect. The last step was a complimentary delivery to the dry cleaners, which TRIO does for every suit.
I liked the look and fit of the suit so much that I ordered another one (in navy) before leaving the store. It’s on its way. On my most recent visit, Mike told me shipping times have improved, so by the time you read this review, the suits may be getting to the store even faster than the two-​week time window I experienced with my first suit order.
Once your measurements and payment information are stored with TRIO, it’s very easy and convenient to make new orders. Since the business is small, the service is personalized. They remember their customers. The same cannot be said for the big stores.
I love the look of my new 3-​piece suit and look forward to opportunities to wear it. I wore it to the symphony over the weekend and received so many compliments in person and online (from photos). Much more than I ever expected. It validated my decision to order from TRIO.
TRIO also sells accessories like pocket squares, ties, cuff links, and tie bars. I picked up a pocket square. It was totally worth it. Also, name embroideries inside the suit jackets are available for only $ 25 ($ 10 for shirts). I am getting my suits embroidered.
You don’t have to get a full suit. You can order pieces a la carte. The prices are the same either way. TRIO’s clothing is meant to be versatile. The suit pants, jacket, and vest can be worn independent of each other. I plan to use my suit jackets as blazers/​sportcoats as well.
The store is located at the corner of 14^th Street and State Street, just south of Atlantic Station. The storefront is not visible from the street. It’s in the same building as Moe’s BBQ. Just pull into the parking lot in the back and you’ll find it.
There’s nowhere else in Atlanta like TRIO. It’s only a matter of time before the word really gets out and this business takes off. I’m glad I got my orders in already!

I had a suit and shirt made here and both were excellent! Can’t beat the $ 59 custom made shirts. Why would you buy one off the rack when you can design one here in any style you want?

TRIO is one of the most affordable custom suit makers in Atlanta. They run a quality shop and they will keep tweaking the fit of your suit until it’s just right. I feel comfortable and welcome when I walk in, thanks to the great staff, of whom I’ve met Ben and Mike, and the pleasant but unassuming décor. In short, I trust TRIO and I will gladly vote with my wallet. When I need another suit, I’ll be back.

I should start out by saying this: I am a sucker for a well-​dressed man. And to me, a great suit is the quintessential framework for a man to showcase his confidence and ambition.
On our first date, my boyfriend picked me up wearing something unexpected. Great jeans, good shoes, and a sexy, navy button-​down with a grey vest. First date attire is tricky! But he nailed it. For NYE, he wore a black 3 piece and looked beyond debonair for the festive occasion.

I chose TRIO to supply the suits for my wedding and I must say I was blown away with the customer service, selection, quality, price, and speed service. What would have been a tough group of six groomsmen across four states to get together for fitting was easy solved by the guys at TRIO. They contacted each groomsmen, had them all measured, and had their hand crafted custom suits delivered well before my wedding. The custom details I was able to put into my shirt and suit looked so good I continue to use TRIO as my only fine clothier. Since they have my measurements on file ordering a suit has never been so easy. I simply pick what I want and add my own custom features and the precision tailored suit is delivered in a few weeks.
