I love what they’ve done here! The interior is very upscale yet sexy! I covered the Celebrity Mommas of Atlanta première & had a blast with the cast! @BossChixAtl is the greatest! I make sure I stop here whenever I’m on the south side. Weekend parties here are bananas!!!

***UNDERNEWMANAGEMENT — NOTCLOSED *** A friend recommended this spot during my visit to Atlanta it was off the chain! We had the best time. The ambiance was great, all the staff attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, well seasoned and arrived in a short period of time(Crab legs, Shrimp yum). The drinks were on point, the bartender knows his business, right amount of alcohol(not watered down). Management goes above & beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience! We partied until closing. I can’t wait to go back, highly recommend to everyone! Food. 5 Drinks. 5 Service. 10 DON’T MISSTHENEWSHARKBARWHENINTHEATL

This place is awful. I only came for a premier party and we were thrown out of VIP. Oh wow… Not enough seats, the stench was unbearable, the list goes on… Never again. Invited or not!

The server was sweating profusely. Instead of napkins we were offered paper towels. I don’t think I need to say much else. #NOTupscale #NOTclean #ewww #TOOhot #5heartbeats

This place was great for New Years. I got a VIP area and had fun all night. The promoter had the place rocking. Come to find out they got rid of them and brought in a new guy. I was like oh well we will try it out anyways. But that was a mistake ., last time I went. The drinks suck and the Dj was not good. Place was even dead. Paid 10 $ to go in and left 20 min later. Hopefully this place will come back a live soon.

Sooo this is the shark bar that I been hearing so much about it? Ok so when we pulled up it was packed in the parking lot. I was thinking that this place must be jumping tonight. So we walked in and it was $ 10 for ladies and $ 20 for men. I had my mind set on getting a sex on the beach… hurrican or SOMETHING. The bartender said she couldn’t make that because she had no glasses. I was like wth? Then I asked about draft beers for my friend… not available. only bottles.im like ok. So I was annoyed because I wanted a drink and the only drink she said she could really make at that time was raspberry ciroc and crandberry juice. I wasnt a fan of this but I got it anyways. The drink was horrible. It watered down quickly too. I tried to make the best of being here so I started dancing and having fun. The older women were mugging me like they had an issue with me dancing on my friend. They were just sitting around looking at people. Did I also mention that the crowd is 30s-50s…maybe thats why I stood out so much. Seems like every woman here was dress to TRY and find a man… this type of place isnt really the type of establishment I would usually go to… it was JUSTOK… I had fun with my friend and enjoying the music from the 107.9DJ thats the only reason why im giving it 3 stars.

My wife and I was invited to a birthday party here and I must say the place looks nice and the food was pretty good. Where we can complain is the fact that there was nowhere set aside to eat unless you paid for a «reserved» table. The tables were pricey(can’t remember the price at this point); but I understand having reserved tables when a place is packed. This was not the case when we arrived. There were hardly anyone there and my wife was getting impatient and weary from standing as we thought that we would be able to sit down and eat comfortably. After going back and forth with one of the managers about the need to have a free table to sit down and eat in a place that was not even 1⁄10th full; they gave us a table right next to the kitchen. We will never go back to this place. If you don’t mind showing up early to a «bar & grille» that’s more bar and choose to pay a premium price for a table in addition to paying for the food, then this is a great place for you.

I recently visited Atlanta for what was supposed to be a party at the Twelve Hotel. At the last minute the party was cancelled by the owner and the Shark Bar quickly accommodated the party of over 100 people at the last minute. No, they were not expecting all of us and were not prepared at first, however they quickly moved into high gear to get beverages and food out. It wouldn’t have been first on my options of places to go. But credit it due and well deserved.

Where do I begin. The Shark Bar is the latest incarnation that occupies what was originally the TGIFriday’s near Greenbriar Mall. This is actually a prime location in Southwest Atlanta for the 30+ Black demographic that it’s trying to capture. We arrived around 8PM and it wasn’t crowded. They were hosting a $ 10 crab leg buffet which was cash only. Food from the menu is not served until 9PM. Majic 107.5 plays live at some point. Good — I got the lemon pepper wings which were a good size and very good. Bad — For some reason, the bar had a lot of seats removed. Guess they didn’t want folks seated around the bar but rather have you at tables served by the waitresses. Asked for Johnnie Walker on the rocks and told they didn’t have it. Jambalaya was ordered by my friend but some pasta dish was brought out instead. Oh and 20% gratuity automatically added to all checks. I swear only Black establishments pull that bull ish. We ordered some drinks and our waitress disappeared. As I looked at our drinks sitting at the bar, we finally decided to just go get them. Why else would we pay 20% automatic gratuity? The biggest disappointment is that an establishment that has potential can’t get simple things right. Come here again? Sure. I’ll have a gun to my head and my life depends on it. Nah, just go ahead and shoot me. The outcome will be better. The good news is that this place will close eventually and either something new will pop up or they’ll bulldoze the place. Either way, a win win for the Southside.
