Have you ever seen Epicurious food magazines, and the pictures of in-season produce? I swear, the produce here is being used for those photoshoots. A little pocket of a shop outside of Star Provisions, this place supplies seasonal organic produce. All of the items here looked like haute cuisine ingredients– absolutely gorgeous, high quality, hand-picked, clean, and organic. You can almost see the TLC put into these babies. The prices reflect it too, but none of them are high enough to be atrocious– I would say the produce here is amongst the highest quality locally sourced produce around. It really looked like a gardener’s paradise. We saw organic multi-colored eggs, large but tender stalks of asparagus, miniature french breakfast radishes, all sorts of microgreens, heirloom tomatoes, baby carrots, artisan lettuces, seed packets, etc. Rustic, wholesome, hearty, beautiful.

This is a cute little shop adjacent to Star Provisions. In addition to some peat-potted herbs, fresh cut flowers, and seeds, there is a small cooler for storing fresh organic produce. There isn’t much room for too much variety, but this visit they had spring carrots, french breakfast radishes, micro greens and lettuces, plus the most gigantic asparagus stalks I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous produce, really. Everything looked immaculate. Purchasing was easy enough after going inside Star Provisions to get someone to open up. They just gave me a handwritten slip for my goods and I took it inside SP to pay(so yes, they will take credit cards!).

Little tiny shop located next to Star Provisions, this place gets their organic produce from two farms that are within an hour drive of Atlanta. Everything in there looked so bright and fresh and clean! I decided to go with some cherry tomatoes and okra. Those were the best damn vegetables I’ve ever had in my life… and this is coming from someone who regularly eats organic. I’m guessing they were so amazing because they had just been picked that morning. Every single cherry tomato and okra was in good edible shape. No rejects! So that makes it worth every penny you spend here. Don’t forget your cash as they do not take credit cards. I am definitely coming back here for more good food!
