Every Sweetgrass Hair stylist is at least 5 years experienced and completely trained to take each client from full color service, to haircut to finish. Only one Aveda educated stylist per client and NO double booking! Attentive and personal attention is given to each client in our salon chairs.

Sweetgrass Massage Therapists are filtered through a 3 step interview process to ensure that only the most detailed, strongest and talented therapists treat our valued clients. A variety of massage services as well as body treatments, such as wraps and scrubs are available everyday.

Sweetgrass Aestheticians are held to the same high employee standards. Our Aestheticians are well versed in professional Skin Care services and all waxing modalities. Our organic facials will leave your skin revitalized and on the path to perfection. We also guarantee a thorough waxing service that is as pain free and as comfortable as possible.

Sweet grass is awesome and Anna is the best! She’s great at listening to what her customers really want and leading them in the right direction without being pushy. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted it and I had a great time chatting with her about traveling around the world while she styled my hair. I’m back– three years later. I’ve tried several spas in between my first visit and now and I can say my return is a testament to the quality Sweetgrass provides. I even had a different therapist this time, Mimi, and she was both professional and talented. Before we started, she allowed me to voice what I was looking for. You’d be surprise how many therapists just jump right in. Following 90 minutes of relaxation, Mimi explained she used four different techniques on me. It’s so nice to feel like the service has been customized versus simply being placed on an assembly line! Afterwards, we chatted about what worked well and she offered me a few stretches– even ones I can do at the office! Very pleased– next time, I hope to do the full spa package with the facial, and blowout, after the massage.

All I know is that I surprise my girlfriend ever so often with a deep tissue massage from this place and she comes out brand new, looking like she’s high off life, ready for some Starbucks and smelling herbalicious. I dig it. Magical hands are present in this place for sure.

I absolutely loved my experience at Sweet Grass. I have been in ATL for a couple years, but couldn’t ever find the right/​perfect masseuse until today. Mallory was just amazing. She seemed like she was very interested in what was bothering me, worked very hard and got all the knots out of my back and made me feel like brand new again. I have been going to Sweetgrass Salon for massages for over two years now. I am a faithful client of Mallory’s. Her hands are magic. I have been getting massages for most of my adult life and have had many therapists. This is the first time I have found someone I am so happy with that I refuse to go to anyone else. Do yourself a favor and book a massage NOW. You won’t regret it.

I had went to another salon I found on Unilocal!That was actually closed down! So I just happened to pick Sweetgrass.
They take walk-​ins, which is great for me, because I suck at making appointments. My stylist, Maddie, was so cool. We talked about movies and our holiday plans and all sorts of things. She washed my hair, gave it an amazing cut, blowout, AND curled it with a wand — she said that styling is part of the service, which I think is awesome, because I have been to some salons that don’t think that way. She used great products and I ended up buying some Aveda Air Control hairspray.
The price is MORE than reasonable for what you get, and I love the feel of the salon — so cute and quirky and nicely decorated. I will most likely be going back here. I would highly recommend this salon!

Having just moved to Atlanta earlier this year and not being able to trust a lot of people with my hair it was great to know that my now friend Chealse is there for me! She made me feel really comfortable and explained the entire process that she was going to do before she started which definitely put my mind at ease. The entire time while she was wrapping and styling my hair I felt like I was talking to someone I have known for YEARS! The level of professionalism and genuine care about the outcome of my style is something I can’t not rave about. If you too are a young women in the city with «highly textured» hair definitely go see Chealse at Sweetgrass she is amazing!

I had the best experience at this salon. First off it’s in a cute, old house right in the heart of L5P. Secondly, I absolutely love my stylist. Anna is a great listener in regards to your hair needs. She’s honest, and will tell you what is going to work best with what you want and what is realistic with your hair. She’s had many years of experience. She’s worked in D.C. and New Orleans, but it has always been with Aveda. She is very in tune with the Aveda culture and can tell you anything you want to know about any of their products. Please check out this salon, and ask for Anna. She works at the Candler Park location too!

I recently moved to Atlanta from a small town, so I really didn’t know where to go or who to call. I called several salons and read many reviews. Ultimately, I decided to try Sweetgrass since it had great reviews, reasonable prices, and it was a short distance from my home. The person I made the appointment with was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable and I liked that I was able to get a same day appointment since I am going out of town this weekend. When I arrived the receptionist was very sweet and I didn’t wait much time at all. Soon Sarah had me in her chair assessing my multi-​colored, unfortunate hair. We decided on a look and she started her magic. Not long after, I had gorgeous, healthy looking dark brown hair with purpley highlights. It sounds wild, but Sarah managed to make it look fun and professional. The price was definitely where I needed it to be and the added discount for first timers was very much appreciated! I will most definitely be back to Sweetgrass and to Sarah because she did an amazing job. SWG1115!

I see Sarah, and she is the best men’s hairstylist I’ve ever found in GA! We’ve done multiple different types of hairstyles, and she is always perfect at execution. When you walk in, they offer delicious tea, water, or coffee, and everyone is always very friendly. I love this place! SWG1015!

I am a bit disappointed. I called and made an appointment for a body wrap. When I got there they had me signed up for a body polish. I was ok with that but it wasn’t what I really wanted. The young lady that worked on me was very nice and I will go back for her services. However in the description of the treatment it included lotion at the end and I did not get that??? weird. I ended up buying lotion on my way out…$ 30 lotion. I feel like I did not get exactly what I paid for. I did make a last minute appointment. so I guess it was my fault? Like I said the body polish was nice… but I really wanted the body wrap. I wish the guy at the front desk had listened better to what I said. I work in the service industry and i hate it when people are ugly when mistakes are made so I made the best of the situation. I was hoping for more … next time I will be more clear and make sure I get what I want.

I bought my fiancé a day at the Sweetgrass Spa for her birthday. Planned the whole thing myself. I even delivered roses to the salon the day before for that added personal touch. I should have seen it coming by the shabby exterior, but was deceived by the cozy/​eclectic décor and a pretty decent Unilocal rating. My fiancé was there for a total of 5.5 hours on her special day and this is what she reported (all with a grateful smile because she’s really sweet like that): 1) the massage therapist talked the ENTIRE 90 minutes of her hot stone massage, 2) Her «60 minute» facial lasted about 35 minutes (I know because I dropped lunch off at 12:34 and the woman who was gonna do her facial told me she was still in the massage– then my fiancé texted me at 1:20 saying she was just done with the facial), 3) She never got the «Organic Face Peel» that I paid extra for.
At the end of the day, they handed my fiancé 50 bucks cash as if to say, «we know this was awful.» I really don’t even know how to respond to that.
Post Script: After reading this review, my fiancé goes, «Hot stone massage? I didn’t get a hot stone massage.»

Was really looking forward to a massage here as I have been traveling all week across county. Scheduled it to be specific as this literally was the only day I could do it. I arrive 15 minutes early for them to tell me they cancelled my session due to the therapist being ‘sick’. They said they called and left me a voicemail. I searched my phone and did not have one missed call or voicemail from their number. Go somewhere else.

I’ve only been here once but plan to return. I had had a 60 minute facial and a 30 minute massage. I’ll say that I loved the facial and wish I could remember her name. The massage by someone else was only so-​so. I usually get 60 minute massages so maybe that’s why I didn’t enjoy it as much but even with a shorter time I just feel that the massage therapist didn’t use proper techniques and that a random person could’ve massaged me just as well. I will try them again though and hopefully I’ll have a different massage therapist. Dont go here if you’re looking for a super sleek spa experience, afterall its in Little 5 Points and is very Five Points-​ish, which I like.

I have never been to this place, but I was really impressed by the fact that I could easily and instantly buy a gift certificate online for my friend who lives in the area.
This was one of the key deciding factors in choosing this business (as well as location and positive reviews) because, for me, a good website goes a long way.
A couple of highlights:
–I could send the gift card directly to my friend’s email.
–I could personalize the gift card message and art.
–I had the option of either sending the gift card instantly, or I could have had it delayed to email her on some other date (good for birthdays or holidays, I suppose)
–I could include gratuity, and it clearly states on the gift card that the gratuity was taken care of (Seriously, always do this when buying a spa/​massage gift card. If there is no option for this on the website, or the person on the phone doesn’t ask you for this– find out how to do it anyway. No one wants a gift they have to pay for. Or, conversely, the person providing the service shouldn’t get short-​changed because of a misunderstanding or clerical error).
Cons:
It was annoying to have to create (and theoretically remember) a password to purchase a gift card from a place I will probably never personally visit (I’m from California) and probably not buy another gift card from any time soon. This seemed unnecessary.

My first time here was a few weekends ago. I booked a 90 minute massage on impulse with Meera for the same day (it had been a rough week). I’ve had maybeeee…3 massages in my entire life, but I could still gauge how awesome she was.
Pros: Great massage therapist, very relaxing facility
Really reasonable price. $ 100 for 90 minutes with a really experienced MT
Both relaxing and muscle-​rejuvenating massage
Meera also provided me with stretches to practice at home that would ease tension in my problem areas
Cons: Actually a very intense massage; one of my legs was so tense that working on it was actually quite painful (I’m not complaining about Meera here, I told her to lighten up and she did); my muscles have been very sore since coming to see her– like they didn’t bounce back properly; and I have never been so thirsty after a massage. I know you’re supposed to drink lots of water to flush out toxins, but I was literally very thirsty and constantly drinking fluids for DAYS after it.
*The music was weird. Not your typical babbling brook/​chanting monks/​ambience. She played a few CDs and one of them was this bizarre New Age carnival sounding music that was completely in contrast with the relaxing environment.
Meera’s technique seems to be somewhere between actual muscle work, and ultimate relaxation. The set-​up was swank. Heated massage table, heated blanket to cover whatever part of you is not getting massaged, delicious-​earthy smelling linens and candles.
The massage itself is fully customizable. So since there 90 minutes of massaging to do, I had her work on areas where I carried tension (neck and shoulders from working in front of my computer until the end of time, and butt and thighs from sitting all day and crossing predominantly one leg). The rest would just be plain old relaxation.
Basically, it was great. My problem areas got a lot of attention, and the rest was very, very nice. The head massage was probably the best part though. Meera will CRADLE YOUR HEAD and you will LOVE IT.
By 90 minutes I basically lost all concept of time and just never wanted her to stop massaging me. She did. Sad.
