Let me start by saying that my hair was badly messed up by a stylist in Roswell ga. I had chunky orange streaks in my brown hair and blonde highlights that were way to thick and bleach that ran onto parts of my hair that it shouldn’t have and It left huge blonde spots on parts of my brown hair. My hair looked unrepairable.
I went to see Katie and she was AMAZING. She was able to turn my orange streaks back to brown and cover up my blonde patches and spots. I’m left with a nice brown color with a few blonde highlights like I originally wanted. Thank you Katie for saving my hair and for making it look fabulous again. I will definately be a repeat customer

I loved my experience at Studio Oliver today! I was in Atlanta for a video shoot (I don’t live here) and picked Studio Oliver because it was well-​priced and looked like a lovely spot. I lucked out!
Katie gave me a luxurious wash/​conditioning treatment, trimmed up my long layers without sacrificing the length (just as I asked her to), I got to enjoy a fresh cup of french press coffee (I’m such a coffee snob, so this was really great) and she styled my hair beautifully for the shoot.
I would come back here in a heartbeat. Thanks for a fantastic experience, Katie! Studio Oliver feels like an upscale salon, but is very reasonably-​priced. Loved it. So glad I came here!

I wandered in for a haircut and keep returning. My former stylist is no longer there, but now I see Katy. I’m quite happy to have found a great stylist, reasonably priced, and so close to home.

Heidi is amazing! I’d been to a couple stylist in hopes to be blonde but every time I stepped out of the salon I’d end up too brassy and almost orange. After some research I came across Heidi. She was upfront with me during the consultation letting me know it may take a couple sessions together to achieve the blonde I was going for. She was super sweet, didn’t rush our session and really listened to what I was looking for. Cant wait to see her again!

I came here for a cut and color with Katie, and she did a good job on the color, but she totally messed up my hair because she was running late on our appointment. I had been talking to her throughout the color process, contemplating on getting bangs (the straight across kind) and I was nervous about it but I ended up asking for her to cut them that way when she said she was finally at the part to cut my bang area. I figured since she knew I was back and forth about it she would take extra care to not make it look bad. Well, I could tell her next appointment was already there and noticed she was being pretty hasty with my hair. She ended up cutting my bangs really jagged and super short which was not the way it was in the photo I showed her. (I had pretty long bangs already so she had a lot to work with to begin with). As the next few days passed after my hair cut, I could see lots of hair that wasn’t cut which was really annoying when I tried to style it — so I had to end up trimming a lot of the hair myself. And when I part my hair, there’s a whole section of bang hair that wasn’t cut at all! It’s so frustrating now as I’m growing out my hair. I wish she would’ve just taken the time to cut it instead of rushing through. I’m sure if she did, it wouldn’t have turned out so bad, but I won’t be coming back as I shouldn’t have had to be the one to suffer a bad hair cut just because there was poor time management.

Price is not so whimsical her but great you find with the men’s hair cut as well. The personable person as here is always awesome and experience with the button line of the service by the skilled person with comfort feeling is the pre-​ensuring matter of the place for each time I will be back for their outstanding deal of time and location as well.

Katie is amazing!!! I was a first time client and using a Scout Mob offer, I made an appointment with whomever was available. I’m so glad it was Katie. She really took the time to listen to what I was wanting to accomplish with my color and she offered her advice. Not only did my color look amazing but it was the best blow out I’d had in a very long time. I think I’ve found my new stylist. :)

Greeted with a glass of wine and the utmost professionalism. Katy was on point with my style and even took the time to be honest with me and tell me what won’t work for me and what will. She was spot on with the style I wanted and the color, I definitely will come back.

My stylist was Katie! Do not bother coming here– there’s a reason that everyone that was good left from here!
A for effort, but 1 star for the haircut! My hair cut is the worst I’ve gotten and if I asked her to try to fix it she would have messed it up even more– Jason left from here and I ended up giving someone else a chance— but it was so bad that thinking about my hair makes me wanna cry! I can’t even use bobby pins to pin it up since that obviously failed as I tried to today, but here’s the thing, she didn’t leave much volume in my hair cause of the way she cut it. so even putting my hair in a bun isn’t possible cause my hair is so thin now! (It’s already thin, but it just unable to be placed in a bun at this point)
She Cut off 6 inches! Well if you weren’t going to keep my length, (I was expecting 3 maybe 4 inches) but even so, at least make me feel like it was worth chopping all that off. On top of that she gave me bangs instead of a swoop! If I asked her to fix that, the length of the swoop would start at my eyebrows
I’m just really upset about haircut. I Can’t wait for my hair to grow back—
Update: my red color fell out in 2 weeks– she over bleached my hair and my hair is so damaged now!

Nick is the best! I always get so many compliments when he does my hair. He goes above and beyond of what I expect. He anticipates both what I want and need. He did my make up and my husband thought I was a princess:)

I’ve spent 3 years hopping from salon to salon around Atlanta trying to find the right stylist for me. The search ended when I found Nick at Studio Oliver. He does amazing work and is very professional!
All the staff at the salon are very kind and professional. I can’t praise them enough!

Heidi is amazing! She fixed my botched ombré from another salon and it looks so good. Just what I wanted. She actually took time to talk to me and listen to me before she started. She was very clear about what she was going to do and made 100% I understood and it’s what I wanted. I was her only client while I was there which had not been the case at other salons. They also have super comfortable sinks and for once my neck didn’t hurt after I had my hair washed at a salon.

It had been many months since I’d had a haircut and my head was a disaster area. I haven’t been living in Atlanta for very long and so was on the lookout for a good salon. For some reason I just couldn’t get an appointment on the weekends, when most places had reduced hours. Finally I just gave up and chose Studio Oliver on a whim, as they were open till 6pm, so chances of getting in were better. I called around 11:45AM on a Saturday and they told me they could squeeze me in for a shampoo and cut at 12:45. Finally. Yay!
So I walked in and was in a smock and on the chair in about 5 minutes. Katie took a look at my hair and I directed her to the ends and she pronounced them dead. They don’t want to do anything, she said. My hair was really that bad lol. Anyway I told her to chop off all the damage and cut it fairly short and give me something new. I felt like she really listened to me. She gave me suggestions on hair care and products, answered my questions and suggested some of the products they had for sale without being pushy. She took her time washing, cutting and styling my hair and the end result was really awesome. It’s probably the first time that I got a haircut I actually loved. It looked fresh, cute and suited my face. The length was just right. And it was incredibly soft to touch now that the rough pointy ends had been removed. Even Katie herself seemed really pleased with it. One wash later and my hair has lost its initial finesse but is still cute and very easy to maintain.
In terms of service, everyone was polite and I was offered a drink when I entered the place. The salon was clean and bright. I used the 45 for 30 discount from Unilocal and purchased a small bottle of serum/​oil as well. If I’m in Atlanta the next time I need a cut, I’ll definitely be coming back to Katie :)

I’ve been going to Studio Oliver and seeing Jason for 2+ years now. I always get a basic trim because I’m super low-​maintenance. Jason always listens to what I ‘think’ I may want done to my hair, then gives the perfect cut. Jason’s the best!
The salon has a great vibe, very laid-​back, not uptight at all. There is always a variety of customers when I’m in, guys and gals. They can usually accommodate my last minute appointments and the location is perfect, always street parking on a non-​busy street. Great midtown salon!

I found this little neighborhood gem while doing laundry next door a few years ago. I see Jason and he does an auhmazing job on my natural hair. He does an awesome shampoo and scalp massage. In addition, he is great with a pair of scissors. The prices are about normal for a boutique salon in midtown Atlanta. I would highly recommend him for women with natural hair.

Studio Oliver is clean, has surprisingly comfortable shampoo bowls, maintains a staff for years, and is located centrally with an easy parking situation.
Heidi Lee Oley is a wonderful colorist. She nailed the color I was seeking the first time, took copious notes about the unique formulation, and is able to recreate the result beautifully and seamlessly. She’s also a forward thinking stylist and helps you create a plan for what you want long-​term. I get a lot of compliments on my hair after I see Heidi!

I was recommended Studio Oliver by a friend of mine who always has amazing hair, so when I saw a scout mob deal for 50% off I had to give it a try. As someone who has tried out a lot of salons in Atlanta, I would definitely recommend Studio Oliver to based on the quality of service and price.
The salon is pretty quaint and tucked away compared to a lot of salons I’ve been to previously, but I definitely prefer the relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. I was able to walk in and get started with Heidi immediately. I’m probably every hairdressers worst nightmare since I never know what I want, but Heidi was somehow able to somehow able to make changes that I really liked. She cleaned up some layers that were looking pretty mushroom-​y and added bangs. Also, Heidi did a great job of answering all of my questions and giving advice on how to style my hair. Since then I’ve received lots of compliments from my friends, even after washing and drying my hair myself (significant because I’m terrible at styling). Even my boyfriend, who normally doesn’t notice a big change, has told me several times how much he likes my hair.
The biggest difference for me, though, was the price. I’m used to paying around $ 100 or so for a haircut, twice as much even without the 50% discount. With the scout mob deal, it was only $ 22.50. Given the quality of cut is on par with a few of my favorite past haircuts, I would call that a win.
Overall, I’m really happy with the service I received from Studio Oliver, and even happier about the price. I’ll definitely be back again.

I recently moved back to Atlanta, and a friend recommended this studio to me after getting her hair cut there when visiting me. I loved the whole experience, and I actually can’t wait until I need to get my hair cut again.
Before we get too far, let me be clear that this is a review for a basic women’s wash and razor cut. I don’t do anything fancy with my hair, and my cut isn’t complicated. I travel a lot, so I make sure whoever cuts my hair knows that it has to look good without a lot of products, and that I don’t spend much time on my hair.
The guy who had cut my friend’s hair had recently left, so I ended up with Slone. She was awesome! Super fun to talk to during the hair cut, and a little crazy too. I always get my hair cut on Friday evenings (I find it very relaxing at the end of the week, and then I don’t have to do my hair for the evening), so the complimentary glass of wine was much appreciated. I really enjoyed the overall feeling of community in the salon, everyone seemed to really enjoy working there and talking with each other. The products were all top notch, and I love how my cut has held up.
Final bonus: the cuts weren’t very expensive! Women’s haircuts can be ridiculously expensive, but everything here seemed very reasonable.

My last three reviews… all salons for wash & blow out. I swear… I am going to invest in a Brazilian blow out.
Stayed at the Loews Atlanta and the concierge recommended Studio Oliver — a $ 7 cab ride and Über on the way back.

It’s quite obvious if you read any of my reviews that I do an awful lot of 1) traveling and 2) getting my hair done. That makes for a lot of going to salons in the cities that I visit. Most are salons that I’ve been going to for a very long time and so I give them a great review, they’ve been good to me. This salon stands alone in that I’ve never been here and I happened upon an incredible find.
Called and needed a last minute appointment to get my hair done before going down to rural Georgia where there aren’t stylists for miles around. I hyperventilate just thinking about it. I think maybe they could hear the desperation in my voice so they told me to come down (at almost closing) and get a blow out. They also had a special going and said I could use it! Wow!
Walked in and was immediately introduced to Jason and asked if I wanted a glass of wine (well, of course, thank you!). He’s very, very personable, I mean, really likeable. I instantly felt like my hair was going to look fabulous.
He sat me down and I saw immediately that they only carried the best products: Oribe, Moroccan Oil, Bumble and Bumble, and was even more reassured. Jason picked out the best shampoo for my hair and he was right. It turned out shiny and beautiful. Sometimes salons don’t care what they put in your hair; they just use whatever is cheapest and they have the most of. Not here! Loved that so much and felt instantly taken care of.
So, Jason washes my hair and then gives me the best scalp massage I have ever had in my life. After the week I’d had it was the best thing ever. I was so happy to have found this place and Jason. He is magic!
The owner, Oliver, also took time out of his day to come over and say hello. What a nice touch!
So, sat down after that and he took a LOT of time to make sure my hair was perfect. Even when I, in my control freak mode, pointed out things he patiently told me to wait, he’d get to that. And he did! I seriously do not know when the last time my hair looked and smelled this fabulous. I mean, seriously. I don’t know how I found this place (just kidding, Unilocal!), but Jason and Studio Oliver is my brand new go-​to place whenever I’m in Atlanta. I’m in love! Thank you, Jason, you’re outstanding!
