Meet the Business Owner
David Y.
Business Owner
Shockey P’Pool rescued Sophie, a 2-year old tethered dog, in Nashville and helped her find her way to me. She became my greatest friend and companion and inspired me to open Barking Hound Village and to pursue saving as many homeless, companion animals as possible.
Sophie celebrated her 20th birthday at the Swan House in Atlanta, on May 8th, 2009. Sylvia Weinstock prepared the beautiful birthday cake in Sophie’s likeness, Wolfgang Puck prepared the hors’douvres, Robert Long prepared the flowers and Susan Forehand executed the party perfectly.
Shortly after her party… still in surprisingly good health… Sophie suffered a seizure while running through Ansley Park in Atlanta, and passed away. Sophie’s Uptown will keep her memory alive and, to her dedication, will help save many other sweet hearts like hers.
