20 min wait even though we had a reservation. Waiter handed us paper menus –_– and a wasp kept attacking us while we tried to eat! Photo posted

The Shrimp & Grits were delicious. The grits are not the standard creamy grits, but were fried squares with a wonderful bbq butter sauce w/bacon. A perfect bite! This with a Caesar salad(& wine of course) made for a very nice dinner. A friend had the Caesar salad and the veggie plate of 3 sides. Sweet potato casserole as one of the sides for her«dessert». Ruth Chris is pricey; therefore, choose wisely or just go all out. There is a limited Ruth’s Hour menu from 4 — 6:30pm, but it is only available at the bar or terrace area. Also, we were a large group & they don’t do separate checks. So we had to play the«who had what game». For the few who paid by card, the waiter brought to the table a little credit card machine & did those transactions one at a time. It was very disjointed & was not the best ending for a nice upscaled dinner. Ruth Chris needs to seriously rethink their separate check policy.

I had been wanting to try this chain even though my husband was against it. We were told there was an hour wait. Ok, we gave our names and nobody came for us after an hour. They seat us in the dining room which was ¾ EMPTY. When I point this out to the hostess, she lies and says the tables are reserved. …at 930 at night? Really really bad… I do have to say our waitress was very sweet and capable. Steak, onion rings, and creamed spinach excellent. Shrimp and grits AWFUL at the amazing price of 29 dollars. The sauce and grits were ok, but clearly the shrimp were tasteless. So we spent over 200 dollars. Never recovered from the cold lying hostesses!!!

Staff were nice, food was decent. The bone in filet was a bit fatty this time. Service and food were pretty quick.

Let me start by saying that my husband and I go to many Ruth’s within every city we visit In the US and outside of it… With that said, this Ruth’s is the absolute worst! The ambiance is absolutely horrific, everything about it is outdated and unsatisfying, from the moment you walk in to the hotel and find the restaurant over to the left in the lobby! The food was alright, not great but not bad. The barbecue shrimp which is our ‘go to’ we could have gotten at Denny’s and they would have done better! The rest of the meal was alright, but nothing exciting I would not ever go back or recommend this Ruth’s Chris… Why they are in an Embassy Suites that is old and awful, when they have so many amazing locations to choose from in Atlanta is beyond me…

So I didn’t get steak. Came in for lunch on a Sunday while at a conference(couldn’t take another boxed lunch!). I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered their version of shrimp & grits. Now I do love me some shrimp & grits, and I am a bit up a purist. But their version was different enough that I can forgive the unconvention of it. Deep fried grits cake, a ton of shrimp & bacon, and a BBQ butter sauce. Quite tasty and perfect portion.

Went in with high expectations and left very disappointed. I ordered the medium well Filet and Shrimp, the filet came out well well done. They ran out of croutons for my ceasar salad which might I add was served on a «hot plate» I also ordered an appetizer which came out 15 minutes AFTER I received my entrée. Also the creamed spinach was luke warm. The server apologized for the entrée being so late so it was on the house. My sweet tea was great but I could obviously only receive 1 because I never got a refill even after my empty glass sat on the table for most of the dinner. Very disappointed and will not be returning!

Absolute trash for the price and service. It took an hour for my salad to come which looked like a pre schooler made it. Then I ordered lamb chops medium and the food came out sizzling. Like everyone knows you have to let meat sit for 10 minutes after cooking. So then I cut into the lamb chops and they are well done. Long story short took the lamb off the bill but my salad was 9.00 bucks. Plus the waiter brought me the wrong dessert smh. I paid 60 bucks for a waste of time.

The one star is based on value! Value is determined by price and expectation. If this were Longhorn Steakhouse I would’ve given it 3 stars just to give you some point of reference. I have actually eaten at a a Longhorn and enjoyed my steak a lot more than this. This is my second and last time at a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The first time I figured I just ordered the wrong steak. It was a NY strip that was recommended and I usually don’t like NY Strip overall so chalked it up to bad judgement. This time, there was no such excuse. First, the service. Way too average for a restaurant of this caliber. We got there early-reservation was set for 11:15 and got there around 11:05. No host was there to greet us or the two gentlemen in front of us. We were told by the bar staff that someone would be with us shortly. He was right… no big deal. We were sat and greeted by TJ shortly afterward. TJ was fine until right about the time we ordered a party of 15 was sat directly behind us and then I felt as though we were forgotten. I get that our bill won’t be as high and you won’t make as much money off of us, but we were barely noticed. From that point on, we were barely checked on. That party was slightly loud but nothing out of ordinary, so my annoyance was NOT with the party, it was with how we were treated or NOT treated once they arrived. The food. Bread was perfect. Side salad was good and the blue cheese dressing was excellent. However, I didn’t drive to Atlanta to eat at a steakhouse for bread and salad. I ordered the lunch filet. The very center was tender and good. But it’s an 8oz steak… the center was a very small portion of the whole. The edges were almost not edible(but I ate it cause I was hungry). Very little flavor. A disappointment overall. My wife ordered the ribeye. At one point she mentioned that if Waffle House had a ribeye, this is what it would taste like. I agreed and we both wished we had the courage to order either the salmon or crab cakes.(Don’t know if they would’ve been any better but couldn’t be any worse). Her steak was tough and truly NOT edible. TJ came and asked if she would like a to-go box. Granted, he didn’t ask how she liked her steak or IF she liked it at all, just if she wanted a box. We took it to go to give to our neighbors dog. He placed the To go box on the dirty dishes next to us while he put her steak in it. For the price and«prestige» of Ruth’s Chris, this place is overrated. Do not waste your time or money. I was disappointed. Also!!! In addition to the service being terrible, the manager reached out via Unilocal with his info as he does with all of the negative reviews, but when I emailed him back to have some type of conversation about my terrible experience, I never heard from him. He is obviously doing it for show. Mister, you should manage Wendy’s and learn proper customer service.

I had dinner here two nights in a row due to the convenience of the restaurant being located in my hotel. The first night I had a combo plate which included stuffed chicken, a crab cake and a small filet. All three were excellent and I enjoyed every bite. The second night I thought I’d eat healthier and ordered the salmon fillet. Big Mistake. Yes I know I shouldn’t have ordered fish at a steak house but for a restaurant that strives for a level of quality and service such as Ruth’s Chris, everything on the menu should be good if not excellent. The fish was not good and the service was surprisingly lacking the second evening. But, with all that said Ruth’s Chris has consistently proven to have exceptional steaks and I look forward to returning.

Onion rings as big as your face! As a person who eats very little red meat, it was a bit of a challenge to find something on the a la carte menu. Ultimately, it was for the better because it pushed me out of my comfort zone of sandwiches and wraps. I ordered the shrimp and grits along with the French fried onion rings. It was a generous serving of shrimp and they were cooked in a tasty wine sauce. The grits were prepared croquette style over a cheesy orangey jalapeño sauce. Although they were onion rings, they had a meaty consistency that was best eaten with a fork and knife. Or you can do what I did and dip the rings in the cheesy jalapeño sauce when your dinner companions aren’t looking. Overall this was a really decadent meal and understand why it’s a popular restaurant. This review gives Ruths’ Chris a 4 due to a lack of ambiance. Parts of the restaurant look a little dated and run-down. Also, for a place this pricey, all the tablecloths should be linen(some tables had green plastic).

We’re able to gather all family members together only twice each year, and vacation is a week of enjoying each other’s company. This year we had the special treat of being joined by our oldest son’s fiancé, and had much to celebrate. .. their engagement, some very impressive business achievements by our younger son, and milestone birthdays for my wife and I. This was the celebratory dinner of our week together, and I’m glad that we chose to spend it at Ruth’s Chris. We are semi-frequent visitors to the Ruth’s Chris near us in New Jersey, and I’ve also been to their New Orleans, Baton Rouge and New York locations, among others. While it is tough to top the original Louisiana locations, Ruth’s Chris can always be counted on for a very enjoyable dining experience. Tyrell was our server for the evening, and he was attentive, animated and spot-on in his service. My wife, future daughter-in-law and I were each able to identify a suitable glass of wine to enjoy. Younger son, who prefers craft brewed beers found one to his liking. Our older son, who rarely drinks, was seeking a cider– something they don’t stock. Without missing a beat, Tyrell offered him an Ommegang Witte, a craft beer with cider-like qualities; he enjoyed it. With the always excellent creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms and sweet potato casserole ordered for the table, the three of us who prefer our steaks mid-rare ordered fillets, while our lovely daughter-in-law-to-be, who enjoys her steak mid-well ordered the New York strip. Every morsel on(or near) the table was thoroughly enjoyed. Two desserts were shared by all; a spectacular chocolate mousse cake and a fresh berries in cream. A perfect ending to an excellent dinner. It is moments like this which are savored forever, and while Ruth’s Chris provided the backdrop, our conversation and shared celebration certainly made this visit to Ruth’s Chris an evening to be remembered.

Our group was in search of a dinner to celebrate several months’ worth of milestones, and this Atlanta location of the national chain did not disappoint. The filet I ordered was cooked to the desired medium rare and was quite flavorful, as were the shared sides(creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and sweet potato casserole). The desserts here are equally satisfying: the chocolate sin cake is decadent while the berries and cream are light and refreshing. As befits an upscale steakhouse, prices are high. All dishes are served a la carte, and it is very easy to eclipse $ 50 per person. However, you will feel like you are getting your money’s worth. In addition to the quality food and quiet ambiance, our server was very helpful. I was up for a cider(which they did not carry), and he was able to recommend a wheat ale that substituted nicely. Ruth’s Chris proved to be the perfect venue for a memorable meal. Those in search of an «occasion» restaurant should put this atop their lists.

Wow… SUPER overrated!!! The only cool thing about my steak was that it came out sizzling due to the plate being hot. But other than that, it just taste like plain ol meat… horribly seasoned. I could not believe it. The rumor about Ruth’s Chris being overrated was true, to my dismay!!! Also, I ordered mine medium. However, it came out medium well and my date’s was medium. Grrr! Now, the spinach was to die for. That’s the best spinach I think I’ve ever had. They also had a really good Lemon Drop, I can’t remember which flavor it was but it was a pinkish burgundy color and tasted pretty good. The next day when I went to eat my left-overs…I noticed something that may have possibly been mold on my mashed potatoes. I am going to post a pic but I really hope that’s not what it was. It could have been a dark part of the potato… but I threw it out just to be sure.

This was my first time that I have been to a Ruth’s Chris. My fiancée had been there before and really wanted to go again. We had a gift card, so decided to dress up and make a night of it. I made a reservation on a Sat evening and fiancée dropped me off at the door while he found parking(note, no close parking on many nights). They walked me to a table in a large room with only one other group, a very, very large group clearly celebrating someone’s graduation. It was fun listening to their speeches. Other than that one group, there was no one else in the room with me. The waiter was there immediately gave me a menu and asked if I wanted to order a bottle of wine. I said yes, but I wanted to wait for fiancée to order one. The waiter brought me water and came back and asked if I had decided on what bottle to order. I said, no I wanted to wait for fiancée… again. Fiancée finally showed up and the waiter asked what wine we wanted. We decided on a wine and began looking at the menu… We had nowhere to rush to and wanted to enjoy our dinner. We ordered the calamari then after a bit ordered our steak. The calamari was delicious and had an almost sweet and sour sauce on the top. Very crunchy. There was a TON of it though, so great for a group. Before we were even half way through the calamari, our steak came. I was a bit surprised at how quick everything was coming. Honestly I would have thought that a nice restaurant like this should have staggered the food. The steaks were fantastic! They came on the hot sizzly/buttery plate with delicious side dishes. The steak was so flavorful and tender. I honestly am not a big meat eater, but boy, this was good! After the big party left, we were the only people in the entire first room(which easily had 20 other tables). For this reason, I couldn’t figure out why the waiter seemed to be rushing us. We made not suggestion or indication that we were in a rush, honestly wanted to just enjoy our night our and drink our wine. Would definitely go back again when in the mood for delicious steak!

We came here after the Morehouse College commencement to celebrate the new grad. It was a party of nine so I was able to nibble from a few different plates. Here’s a quick rundown: Fried Crawfish Tails Lightly battered and crispy… definitely not panko crispy though. I was expecting a punch of cayenne or spice but instead the tails had a mild flavor. Sizzling Blue Crab Cakes Two jumbo lump crab cakes served with lemon butter. Even though it wasn’t the best crab cake I’ve ever tasted, the ratio of crab to breading was good and it was tasty. It came with a side of sautéed fresh vegetables. Salmon Filet The filet was broiled and topped with a lemon/parsley/butter blend. Superb flavor but it was slightly dry and I thought the filet was on the small side. Sautéed Fresh Vegetables Buttery, garlicky seasonal vegetables… delicious! Au Gratin Potatoes This was every bit as comforting as mac and cheese… I enjoyed every bite. Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce They did this Louisiana classic justice. I prefer mine without raisins but it had a buttery sweetness. Crème Brûlée Another classic done right. The crust had a beautiful butterscotch flavor and the dessert was topped with seasonal berries. Chocolate Sin Cake Calling it «cake» was somewhat misleading since there was zero flour in the dessert. It was like eating a cocoa-coffee flavored stick of butter… decadent to say the least. A must-try for chocolate lovers. As a final touch, the waiter surprised the man of the hour with an Apple Crumb Tart. It was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and had«congratulations» piped onto his plate. Throughout the meal, some of us ordered items that weren’t even on the lunch menu. The kitchen was accommodating and our waiter brought out everything without hesitation. Overall, the food was delicious and the level of service provided made Ruth’s Chris a great pick for our celebration feast.
