I started seeing Dr. Richman about 19 years ago, and he is the greatest. If you have a emergency, they will work you in somehow. Dr. Richman actually came in on a Saturday morning to fix a loose crown for me, because we were leaving on a vacation that morning. This man is that kind of special. Cindy, his dental hygienist, has been with him about 30 years, and is very competent, knowledgable, and friendly. Cindy is super thorough, and gives you the best cleanings, not the superficial pick and polish that many dentists give you. You will be in good hands with these two professionals taking care of your teeth and gums.

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Jerry Richman’s office. I chipped my front tooth on a Tuesday (my teeth were stripped of enamel from acid reflux so it was bound to happen sooner or later), called around to a few cosmetic dentists, and the only one who would squeeze me in was Dr. Richman. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff, and when I met Dr. Richman he made me feel right at home and treated me like I was his own daughter. I ended up needing to get crowns on my four front teeth. Dr. Richman did such an amazing job! Not only did I have a loss of enamel, but I had a diastema between my teeth as well. Now my smile is perfect, and I am so grateful that he made my experience a positive one. If you are looking for a dentist that is talented, friendly, and truly cares about his patients, Dr. Richman is the way to go.

Dr. Richman is an attentive, caring dentist. His office is well run and his work is excellent.

Having relocated to Georgia it was are a referrel that first introduced me to Dr. Richman. in the years since I have to say that I have never experienced anything short of excellence from he and his staff. I find myself looking forward to visiting ! I would highly recommend Dr. Richman and his team for any dental needs, no matter how simple or complex.

Love Dr. Richman and Cindy (hygenist), but Jessica (front desk) is consistently rude and could use some work on her customer service skills. My guess is that she is overloaded, as it always seems like she’s soley responsible for doing insurance, scheduling, etc. But several times I have considered changing dentists just because of her and her attitude.
Also, suddenly they won’t file my dental insurance. It wasn’t a problem the first 1 – 2.5 years I was a patient, and now they’re saying that my health insurance is my primary and they refuse to file the dental insurance which is now considered secondary. I feel like if they want to get paid, they should file the insurance. My husband tried to file the dental insurance with no luck, or they were stalling or something, and we ended up just paying the dentist because we were sick of getting Jessica’s calls/​attitude about it.

As good as a dentist can be. Seems friendly and knowledgeable enough and the staff was very willing to educate exactly what they were doing etc.

I am very picky about my dentist because I have to get so much work done (despite much flossing, sadly).
Dr. Richman’s office takes advantage of the latest advances in dental technology, including x-​rays that use 90% less radiation and a FREAKING ROBOT ARM that designs and carves a porcelain crown for you during your visit, eliminating the need for follow-​ups and annoying temporary crowns.
I went in for a cleaning the other day, and Cindy discovered a significant chip on one of my teeth that would require a partial root canal and a crown. They squeezed me in right then so I could get all the work done in one visit.
I have pretty crappy dental insurance, but the cost for procedures at this office is on par with lesser dentists. The staff at this office is kind and funny – Cindy, Grant, and Jessica have done me right over the last several years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

He is by far the worst dentist I have ever been to. Not only do they not care about the patients but they also wrongfully charged me and my insurance. On my first visit they told me I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled. Me, not knowing anything about teeth stuff, I listened and got them filled. Come to find out they were just taking out my fillings from my previous dentist and putting in their own special filling. Now that I’ve paid the bills I find out that they were not sending all the claims to my insurance but were sending them to me so my out of pocket fee was insane! Today was the last straw when they asked me to pay for my cleaning before I even got seen by the doctor. After I told them, wait I don’t have a co pay and my insurance covers 100% of cleanings… Their response is «we need a $ 12 office fee that we don’t send to your insurance because it’s too much hassle.» In my feeble attempt to talk to Dr. Richman he only saw me for about 30 seconds. In those 30 seconds he nformed me that I need a $ 1000 crown on a tooth that does not even hurt. I sure hope he gets to go on his extra vacation with all the extra money I have put into his crappy dentist work.

I went to Dr. Richman a few years ago and had a terrible experience. He could have gotten better within these last few years but after that first visit, I never returned and this is why.
I scheduled an appointment when I first moved to Atlanta and just wanted to check up on my teeth. The hygienist did the usual and after a while Dr. Richman came in. He let me hold onto this electronic cavity-​detecting device and told me that if the numbers went above 20, I had a cavity. Because I had the actual machine in my hands, I trusted him. I was horrified to see that the number went above 20 on several of my teeth. (Just so you know I have NEVER had a single cavity in my adult life so this is a shocker). He told me I had 11 cavities and needed them filled with possibly 2 root canals. Since I didn’t have dental insurance, I was given a quote of approximately $ 1100 for all the dental work. Then after that, he tried hard to sell Zoom teeth whitening services to me.
Later that day, after being troubled by the fact that I had to shell out $ 1100, I called my brother in law (who is a dentist) and told him about my visit. He then told me I had been duped. The numbers on the cavity-​reader need to be above 40 in order to be a real cavity-​not 20! I then got myself a plane ticket (much cheaper than the $ 1100 to Dr. Richman) to go see my brother in law and it turned out I only had 2 cavities!

Until a couple of years ago, I haven’t been to the dentist in a while.
A long while.
A long since high school while.
At the time, I didn’t think it would matter. Even after I started getting cavities and I got decent dental insurance, I didn’t go. Frankly, I didn’t care.
Then my wisdom teeth kicked in with the pain — and it was the worse pain I ever had in a while. Within a couple of days, I could barely eat anything harder than a noodle. So afterwards, I tried one of the places that my co-​worker went to, but I couldn’t get surgery until I go through a dentist first.
So I called JR (it’s was the closest near by apartment at the time), and despite being book, I was able to get an appointment the next day (or was it the day after?).
The day of the appointment — I went to the office (got lost a bit), filled out my insurance info and then headed over to the chair.
At that point, they took X-​rays and confirm that I do need to take out my wisdom teeth and gave me a referral. Since it’s been a while since I been to the dentists, at this point I decided to go all out and have them work my cavities.
Of course, I forgot all about the needles, though, which I realized just as they put the first one into my mouth.
And the second.
And the third.
And the fourth.
I think there was a fifth one too, but I forget.
After it was all done, Jerry looked at me and said, «You are a very brave man.»
I think I said something back. I don’t remember, since I could barely talk.
Then I had my first dental cleaning in a while with Cindy (she was fun to work with) getting all those food particles that have accumulated over the years.. . all that food I ate.. . the tommy burgers.. .. the in-​n-​outs.. . Kusimbos.. . all that was in my mouth since the Clinton Administration.. . gone.
And so I went out there with shiny, clean teeth, with all the cavities filled in — I felt like a new man.
New man that was still in pain, though, since I still need oral surgery. Fortunately, the penicillin that was perscribed to me fixed the infection — that was gone in a couple of days.
Funny thing is that I never went to that referral — too chicken to go. But after that experience, I have been going to this dentist ever since. Kudos to them for putting up with me. :D
