Prelude at Clairmont Apartments

I have been here over 3 years. The absolute worst thing about this apartment is that the fire alarm goes off at least 2 – 3 times a month in the middle of the night or early in the morning for over 10 minutes! I have an infant baby and I have to run out of the room several times to cover his little ears so his eardrums wouldn’t burst because the alarm is extremely loud. This has been going on for 3 years! So far in 2016 this has not happened yet– let me not speak too soon. The old management staff knew there was a problem with the alarms and I guess they chose to not thoroughly get it inspected. I might be the longest resident here because I constantly see ppl move out and I feel bad for the new ppl moving in. They need to know that this apartment complex has a fire alarm issue-​and if there was a real fire, I’m afraid we will get burned up because we would think it’s just another false alarm. Also the walls are thin and you hear everything– I do mean everything– but that’s apartment living. I’m in a position now that I can afford to leave and buy my first house and I couldn’t be more happy.
The good thing about this apartment is that I’ve never been robbed or had my place broken into, so it’s fairly safe compared to other apartments in the area, and they offer seasonal parties for the residents. The Halloween party was so much fun. I’ve had really no bug problem other than 1 or 2 little «silver fish» (wormy little bugs) that comes in after a heavy rain and I’ve never seen a roach in the 3 years I’ve lived here, however I do live on the 3^rd floor. Also the maintenance staff is very nice. But you have to buy your own light bulbs which is $ 8 per bulb at Lowes. (Halogen bulbs in the kitchen is what we have to buy) I’m giving an honest review because I’ve been here over 3 years and I probably would not recommend this apartment unless you are looking for the convenience of being near the highway. Also the rent is way way too high for what you get here, other than that good luck!

I have lived here for two years. The apartment is not perfect but it is a safe, enjoyable place to live. The maintenance staff knows residents by name and take time to get to know the residents personally. The same can be said for the office staff. The grounds are kept beautifully. It is true, some of the residents feel like picking up after their dog is above them, but the apartment had a very hard working janitorial staff that tries to keep it to a minimum. The inside of the apartments have granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and everything is energy efficient. I would recommend it to a friend for sure!

I have live in this apartment for 11 months now. And there are two things make me so angry so that I will not continue to live here.
1. The parking policy.
They make this complicate and ridiculous. They gave you a parking decal you put on your car windshield. But the decal has no glue side and it is just a piece of plastic. it is very easy to peel off by itself.
They hired a parking enforcement company to check the parking garage frequently and lock the car that don’t have the decal. I have been locked twice, after I call them, I wait there for more than two hour before in the cold parking garage before they show up. This is ridiculous! Two hours! And You have to pay 75 $ each time.
The process is frustrating and made me so angry. I can’t go to work and I was sitting in the car waiting for them. I ask on the phone if they can tell how long do I have to wait, but the answer is i don’t know.
The apartment doesn’t wants to make your life easier, they just don’t care about you, I pay rent of 1650 a month, and they just want to make more money from you by this kind of hassle.
2. The fire alarm
The fire alarm rings during the middle of night. Image this, it happened pence maybe twice a month. You just can’t get a good sleep and if you are people, the large volume of noise may harm your hearing and brain.
I am done with this apartment.

So I’ve been living here since Feb 2015, and most of these reviews are bit crazy… but quite valid.
On my move-​in day all of the carpets in my apt were soaked bc the carpet cleaners had come to clean them the morning that all of my furniture was arriving-​horrible. Also, when I moved in my shower wasn’t draining-​annoying., but was fixed within 30 minutes of me telling the office.
Fast forward a few months with no issues at all.
I got ants in my bathroom. I originally thought that they were from a sugar scrub i bought, so i thre that out and got some Raid for ants and sprayed my entire bathroom. Fast forward another week or so… I got ants in my kitchen-​but only by the front door, and upon further inspection there were ants in the hallway crawling under my front door –_​_​_​-​. So i sprayed my entire kitchen AND the hallway around my door, and I’ve had no ant problems since (I’m on the 4^th floor btw)
Also, I have an apt that faces the pool, and I’m young with no dog or kids and the noise level from the «pool parties» the other residents host is ridiculous. They’ve started cracking down on shutting all of the parties down by 10pm… but 10 pm on a sunday is still too late to be hearing Fetty Wap when I have to work in the morning haha.
As far as the reviews that say there are «drug dealers» that live here… let’s be real. There are some BLACK ppl that live here, and everyone I’ve met black or other are either getting their masters or working. BUT I will say that a lot of residents friends and acquantances are a bit sketch.
Alll in all I have no major problems here. It seems really safe. And they keep the parking lots, hallways, and common areas all clean. I get my mail from the office easily. When things are broken or I need a light bulb it’s done within a day. I’d recommend them to anyone. I’m def renewing my lease when it runs up.

Last but not least, I swear every stripper and dope boy in Atlanta resides there.

I am a very picky and hard to please type person. However, I really just felt the need to write a review because I have had so many great experiences with the property’s staff and management when I have had minor problems over the past two years. I actually choose to renew rather than moving closer to work in a more affordable area because of the great experience I have had over the last two years. I have never had an issue with cleanliness or safety. The staff here is beyond professional and nice. This complex is pretty new and offers a better value than others in the area. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
Positive: The leasing office and management will defiantly go above and beyond to help in pretty much any way you can think of. They actually took my dog out when I got stranded out of town for a night.
Negative: The only negative is sometimes I can hear through the walls if my neighbor gets too loud. (The leasing office will take care of consistent problems like this.)

This place is a good price for a decent area. It is right off the 85 freeway. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel appliances & marble countertops. The washer & dryer inside the apt is TERRIBLE. Takes forever to dry my clothes. There are so many bugs in this building! I was never, ever home (travel for work months at a time) and had roaches! I never had roaches in my life! There’s black widows everywhere too. I told them there were eggs outside at the gate entry and they did nothing about it! Lucky they didn’t hatch (I hope, bc I moved). They also will charge you for everything on your deposit even if they charged past tenants for it already and will not return phone calls. Licet is the only nice one in the office.
