I love this apartment. Rent is steep for apartment size, no doubt. But I’ve never had a truly enjoyable experience at an apartment complex before this one. I do not find noise to be a problem at all, and I am on the third floor. Building is extremely secure

My family and I lived in Post Alexander for 5 years and I only have great things to talk about it. From the construction to the staff, this place deserves more than 5 stars. I felt living in a 5 star hotel with all the quality services they provide. I highly recommend this building for anyone or any family who is interested in living in a great, friendly and extremely well maintained community.

There is no comparison, Post Alexander is the best apartment complex in Buckhead!
If I am being very honest, I consider myself very fortunate and blessed to have found a high quality place such as the Post Alexander. Having moved to Atlanta from California a year ago, it was a crapshoot of where i should live, and after getting a recommendation from a family friend to check out Post Properties, i visited almost 8 Post locations in the near vicinity as well as visited 4 other competitors before settling on my final decision, Post Alexander. And I have never regretted my decision and have been thanking my lucky stars every since.
After living at Post for more than 12 months now, here is the scoop:
Staff: My number one criteria for long term evaluation is the Management. Management is at a 5 star level. I always get a friendly «hello» every single time I visit the office, whether I’m in a grumpy mood or not. The ladies are all true professionals in every sense of the word, and they are fair, reasonable and have high INTEGRITY. I had one issue in my apartment where I felt the right to blow a fit over it, and it was taken care of very professionally, with the right touch. I was so impressed, i sent over a small thank– you gift for appreciation. The maintenance manager is great, he remembers everyone’s name and addresses you politely whenever you see him. He is brilliant, and he keeps your apartment is tip top shape with regular maintenance. Post has strict guidelines that they place on themselves on the turn around time of other maintenance requests, and I have never had a problem.
Location: The location is absolutely unbeatable. Right across from Phipps Plaza and the Lenox Mall, everything you need is a stone’s throw away: Movie theaters, Publix, Target, Walmart, Costco, Kroger, LA fitness, you get the idea. It takes me minutes to get on the highway and I can travel to any of my 9 offices in and around Atlanta in a reasonable time as I’m going AGAINST traffic. When the traffic is light, i can get to the international airport in less than 20 minutes, as I fly out of the country frequently for travel. July 4^th fireworks at Lenox Mall is something to admire.
Amenities: I truly appreciate the effort the Post staff take in coordinating monthly get– togethers catered by local restaurants. The pool and gym are well maintained, and the public bbq grills are a big hit with the residents in the summertime looking to grill a steak, ribs or salmon. Parking stall widths are mcuh bigger than average, so your neighbor’s car doesn’t hit yours, and you have your own dedicated spot. Parking is also covered and gate controlled. They have a guest room at a reasonable rate where my in-​laws have stayed comfortably. Business office has saved my life when my computer, internet or printer have gone kaput. I have an in-​unit Washer/​Dryer that I rent (got a brand new one at a good rate) though they have public laundry on site. And i LOVE the coffee machine for residents! Perfect score here.
Safety: Buckhead is a very safe community and there are walking trails and areas where pet owners can go to get their pet playtime in.
Policies, other residents and noise: Post does have a higher application fee than other Post properties, but the quality of the property does reflect it. I protested this at first, and have come to realize that they run a first class establishment so now I rave about them. Post policies are spelled out very clearly, and there are no shenanigans in the contract.
There is a good mix of tenants, from retirees, to young families and working professionals, and probably a few students. Everyone that i run into are very polite and respectful, and the overall feeling is very safe. Because this is an apartment complex, the build quality will be different than a condominium unit that you can purchase, and the noise level is reasonable for a building this size. I have lived on both the 4^th and 3^rd floor of the 7 floor building and though i sometimes i can hear footsteps or voices, this is the exception, and not the norm and it is not an issue for me. To put it in perspective, i was studying for a National Board exam at the same time as I was working, so obviously, a noisy building would be a big problem for me.
I would highly recommend and I have already personally recommended the Post Alexander to others.

Great location, friendly leasing office staff, beautiful and well maintained apartments.

We signed up just to write this review because we feel others should know before signing after a seemingly decent visit with the rep. The overwhelmingly number one reason to stay away is noise levels within the building.
If you WANT to hear stomping through your ceilings, music and talking through your walls, and people walking through the hallway, this is the building for you!!! If not, run away. These apartments appear nice visually, and the complex is usually seemingly empty (yet units are almost somehow always not available). At least this is how it appeared until we settled in. We enjoyed the apartment during our first day until our neighbor upstairs came home the first night. These buildings are wood construction which means you hear everything, and I mean everything. We are not people to complain having lived in apartments our entire adult life, but Post must be the most poorly constructed building we have ever lived in. We thought it was just a neighbor who walked «heavy» until we received a note on our door from a neighbor below us asking us to stop «stomping around» in the morning a few weeks later. Given that our floors are carpeted, and that we know we do not walk around «stomping» we quickly realized it was poor building construction. Given that we can also hear the words of the movie playing in the apartment next to us, we realized there was nothing we could do. Upon expiration of our lease, it was laughable to see how much Post wanted to increase our rent. Given that this was the most disappointing leasing experience of our lives, we obviously opted not to renew and ran away. We have never written an apartment review before, but felt compelled to. Stay Away!
