The Lethal Rhythms Team performs regularly for many key players in the industry. We are referred by many event professionals including event facilities, photographers, event planners etc.

History

Established in 1999.

In 1999, Joel relocated to Atlanta and quickly recognized that the DJ market consisted of mostly «cheesy» entertainment styles — same old songs, same old dances. He vowed to create a team of highly-​skilled wedding professional DJ’s and MC’s in the Atlanta area that reflected their clients’ individuality. He has kept his vow, building a team of the most talented DJ’s in the South. Today, Joel performs not only in the Atlanta market, but also by request, he travels to locations far and wide, even to places like Kauai, Cabo San Lucas, the Virgin Islands and The Dominican Republic.

Joel brings the latest technology to each of his shows and always offers cutting-​edge techniques, including recording live audio mixes, creating wireless sound setups and posting video footage of events for his clients to enjoy. In fact, Carly Rooney, CEO of The Knot, recently called Joel «a trendsetter» in the wedding industry.

International DJ & Lethal Rhythms CEO Joel Rabe is based in Atlanta and performs as a professional mix DJ for approximately 100 events (weddings, mitzvahs and corporate) each year. While weddings are the majority of his business, he also performs for corporate heavy weights such as Coca-​Cola, Microsoft, Home Depot, Southern and Delta.

He has been featured on «Good Day Atlanta» multiple times sharing advice on how to have the perfect event. While he can mash up Top 40, Classic Dance, Hip Hop, etc (you can hear samples at Lethal Rhythms DJ Music Gallery and DJ Music Samples Link 2) Joel also performs for many multi-​cultural and international clients mixing Arabic, Spanish, Persian, Cuban and other styles on a regular basis.

Lethal Rhythms and Elle Planning do not disappoint! Our decision to work with this team for our wedding was a good one. We had our initial meeting with Joel Rabe who was extremely helpful. After Joel reviewed the all of the available DJs with us, we decided to book DJ Robb — He was awesome. We got exactly what we wanted, everything was perfect. We wanted the dance floor packed all night and Robb really kept the party going. We also worked with Joel to have Ellen Thomas and Laura Burchfield do our day of coordination. These ladies are top notch. Our wedding went so smooth and it is all thanks to their organization. They did so much throughout the day, kept everything on track and seamlessly handled things as they came up.
Joel, Robb, Ellen & Laura were all fantastic! You do not want to be without this team on your wedding day.

DJ Joel was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. After researching many many DJs, I heard about lethal rhythms. They have such an awesome reputation for throwing wonderful events. So I contacted Joel and he responded immediately. My fiancé and I met with him 2 days later, talked through everything and I felt the biggest weight being lifted off my shoulders. His assistance through everything has been what every bride needs.
A DJ sets a vibe for your entire reception and I couldn’t trust Joel more. He goes over and beyond a normal DJ’s job duties. Our guest list includes a variety of people: family, college sorority sisters, fraternity brothers, grandparents, church friends and close family friends. DJ Joel respected all the boundaries we gave while still throwing out awesome ideas that would appeal to everyone. You won’t regret making DJ Joel (or any of his team) apart of your wedding day!

We found Lethal Rhythms via research from online reviews and wedding websites, as we were new to the Atlanta area and did not know anyone in the city who could recommend a DJ company. Their positive reviews led me to fill out an inquiry form and I immediately received a phone call from Laura, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. She was very helpful in providing initial information and did not pressure us at all to book with the company for our wedding and instead encouraged us to first meet the DJ and the owner (Joel) at a local event at the Botanical Gardens – which was also complimentary-​total bonus! We knew right away when we met DJ Binnie, Laura, and Joel that we wanted to book with this company; however the price was outside of our DJ budget for our wedding. Within a couple of weeks, they contacted us and told us that DJ Binnie had a promotion and wanted to extend this to us because the pricing was now within our budget. Of course we were interested – this was amazing customer service and we knew that the company would do an excellent job. The value and quality of this company is excellent. There was an online portal to search, listen, and request songs. DJ Binnie was flexible with our schedules and was accessible via email, online, or phone. We met via Google Hangouts, which was so helpful leading up to the weeks before our wedding (as meeting times are tight with our busy schedule). All the details were checked off and I knew that we would be in good hands on our wedding day. He was fun, lively, and calm at our wedding. We loved our music at our ceremony and reception and the microphones and equipment were perfect for our event. People were on the dance floor for the whole evening and he was able to keep people engaged. I will say that I did hours of research looking at different DJ companies and this was the complete package with the fair value. I would definitely recommend DJ Binnie and Lethal Rhythms to others!

I would give Lethal Rhythms 10 stars if I could! We used Joel for our DJ & he went above and beyond all of our expectations. Lethal rhythms kept me updated through the entire wedding planning experience, so I was always up to date with anything new that I needed to do/​know, we had a meeting closer to our wedding date to finalize all details & then Joel even showed up early to set up & make sure everything ran smoothly! We could not be happier with our decision & will be using them for any other event we have in the future. Plus, it’s always fun to go to a friends wedding and get to experience it all over again. All of my friends that are now getting married are using them! If you are wanting an awesome and stress free wedding, use Lethal Rhythms! You will not regret using them for your wedding or event.

We used Elle Planning (a division of Lethal Rhythms) to handle all the day of coordination (and month leading up to!) for our wedding on 9÷12÷15 at Barnsley Gardens. I cannot say enough amazing things about their team. Laura and team were onsite for the rehearsal, which ran smoother than ANY rehearsal I’ve ever been a part of. Two times quickly through, and we were done! They even went out of their way to make sure all personal items that we wanted to incorporate into the actual wedding/​reception were safely in their possession so we had one less thing to worry about the next day. They kept everything flowing smoothly on the big day, made sure all vendors knew their places, worked with the venue’s event team, etc. Their diligence and extreme attention to detail allowed us to focus on enjoying our wedding day and nothing else, knowing that every little detail would be taken care of – it’s hard to overstate the amount of worry and stress they alleviated by being there with us, running the show, keeping everything on track and freeing us up to truly immerse ourselves in the joy of our special day. I cannot thank Elle Planning enough — they were professional, easy to communicate with, and above all so incredibly nice! Thank you Laura, Samantha, and Morgan! You truly made our wedding and wedding weekend a dream.

The word amazing doesn’t begin to describe Joel! He was the DJ at a friend’s wedding a few months ago and when I got engaged my first thought in the planning process was that we HAD to have Joel. I literally planned my wedding date around his availability. I don’t think a single person sat down at that wedding and I can’t wait to have him get the party going at my own reception! From the song choice, to coordinating the flow of the reception and keeping people on the dance floor, Joel had everything covered. Our friend, the bride, also had awesome pictures from behind the DJ booth! My only regret so far is that I have to wait a whole year to dance to Joel’s lethal rhythms again!

DJ Binnie Davis was amazing!!! We used him at our wedding reception. He was the perfect balance of providing energy and getting people to dance without being over the top. We did pretty minimal planning, and he made our event so easy and stress-​free. We provided a list of music we liked, and he filled in the gaps — he did not play a single bad song. I would recommend him to anyone, and we could not be happier with our experience.

Joel with Lethal Rhythms truly saved the day for our wedding!
I had already booked another DJ for our wedding but he had been oddly silent to my emails during the week or two before the big day. When I finally called him the day before the wedding I found that his number was disconnected! I scoured the internet for another number to call but every number for him was the same. I sent him a facebook message since he had been unresponsive to my emails. No word. We had a contract and I had put down a deposit but I had no idea how to pursue him any further.
We called Lethal Rhythms Friday afternoon and in two hours Joel connected me with Larry Cook. Larry called me immediately and after our conversation I knew I could breathe easier. The first DJ finally called me the day of our wedding… 15 minutes before our ceremony started. I angrily asked him why I hadn’t heard from him and he simply said that «they had been so busy lately».
Larry was amazing! Everyone raved about him all night long and he was passing out his business cards by the end of the night. We knew that our friends and family are a fun crowd, but Larry kept them on the dance floor the. entire. night. There was never a lull and everyone had a great time!
The only even slightly negative thing that I can say is that Larry is not yet an «emcee». I was fortunate enough that my wedding coordinator was able to step in for this role but I felt like that was naturally part of a DJ’s duty for a wedding. Other than that, we were more than pleased! Joel even made sure to check in with me after the wedding to make sure that we were happy with their service. Thank you to Joel and his staff for making our wedding amazing!

Joel at Lethal Rhythms did an awesome job as the DJ for our recent wedding. Joel and his team were very responsive when we had questions. They made the planning process and music decisions very easy by providing suggestions. They had options and recommendations that included everything from traditional to unique. Joel managed our ceremony music in addition to the reception music, and he even came to a processional practice to make sure the music would work for what we had planned. But most importantly, he knew how to make the right music selections at the right time to get the party going and keep it going. And best yet, all of these services came within our conservative budget. I would highly recommend Lethal Rhythms again!

Joel was honestly one of the highlights of my entire wedding. We told him we wanted high energy and a good party and he absolutely delivered! He did the music for both my ceremony and reception, and our energy level was up even before the cocktail hour began. Also, it was my lifelong dream to DJ my own wedding and at one point in the night be brought me behind the booth and let me mix up a few songs! Needless to say we had an absolute BLAST! Definitely the DJ for you if you are looking for someone who will bring the fun and energy to your event.

I can’t say enough great things about Joel at Lethal Rhythms — we just celebrated our wedding on Saturday, and Joel was the *perfect* DJ. He went above and beyond to make our wedding memorable, and created a very fun vibe at the reception — we wanted a lot of modern music, so I was initially nervous that the older crowd wouldn’t be dancing… but somehow he was able to get EVERYONE on the dance floor (and play songs that our generation loves at the same time). We had a 67 year old feel so inspired she did a split in in the middle of the dance floor… it was insane. Thank you Joel for making our wedding a ton of fun!
