Kroger

This Kroger has major quality control issues. I often have come home with frozen items that show clear signs of having thawed and refrozen. Yogurt also often shows signs of not being kept at consistent and safe temperatures. They often leave clearly damaged items on the shelf that no one would ever actually purchase. Probably hoping you might not notice if you are in a hurry and grab something without inspecting first. So if you must shop at this sorry excuse of a grocery store, make sure you inspect you items closely before buying.

This is located right down the street from my house. I enjoy the low cheap prices and deal save they have but sometimes they are out of stock of certain produces and baggies for it so I would just go down the street to Publix for it. BUT they do not have many international food compare to other Krogers. The pharmacy however SUCKS. The new women pharmacist is horrible and pretend to click around the computer to make herself seem busy so she won’t help you. One time I asked her what multi-​vitamins is best to take and she just told me «*sighhh* that’s really your choice, I’m not sure.»

After moving here 6 months ago, I was excited to have a Kroger again near my house. BUT, this is the WORST location I have ever seen. All the negative reviews are correct for this place. The staff are the rudest people I think I’ve ever encountered at a grocery store, and I’ve lived all over the US. The only positive thing about this place is that it’s the only one in the area open 24 hours!

I tried to do a Kroger Survey to tell
them about my experience but there was no Entry ID on my receipt. My cashier, Alia, was not only rude, but threw my groceries around. Cans of food on top of my produce and making snarky comments under her breath which was really agitating. It isn’t the customers fault that she didn’t have a bagger to bag the items for her. Since I couldn’t discreetly write a review with my survey, I had no option but to write this review.

This Kroger is practically in my backyard so I have shopped there for almost exclusively for the last 3 years. I prefer Kroger anyway (can’t stand Publix and Whole Foods is wallet-​rape) and while I have been in others that are more aesthetically pleasing, the prices are always better at this location.
The staff is rather amazing as well. Some of the nicest and most helpful I have ever encountered anywhere. A couple of them actually remember my name. No kidding. Oh and another reviewer mentioned that the manager works check-​out often and that is absolutely true. With that kind of service, it feels more like a neighborhood store than a chain one.
This store is situated between a huge Walmart (as if there is a small Walmart — ha) and not far from a Publix so I think it might often get overlooked. That is a plus for me. The lines are never too long and the markdowns are truly better than other locations. I guess there are some selection drawbacks like maybe toiletries and perhaps some produce (although nothing comes to mind) but if you like beer, whoa. You are in for a treat. Huge beer selection including a TON of single bottles and unique brands. The wine section is large. I haven’t spent much time in it but it takes up a lot of space. Hopefully it is filled with good stuff.
I will say I am not a huge fan of the pharmacy. I don’t like the fact that they close early on weekends and they have never been overly friendly. I still make a special trip out to CVS but for groceries, I couldn’t be happier.

I have shopped there for years. I always enjoy the pharmaceutical staff. Since James left the staff is rude and inadequate. I have to fill pain meds from time to time. Each time I do they treat me like a dope dealer, Now this is 10 pills for root canal on Friday. I had about a hour in area before I had to leave town. After checking twice I had to drive 300 miles in pain. People stop putting up with crappy pharmaceutical distributors that act and treat u like a common thug just because they make a judgement. Call. Thanks Kroger I won’t even be back for my Madison. U take it. Eric Forth.

My family and myself shop at this Kroger location regularly and I really like it!
It’s clean, has variety, and overall has attentive and friendly staff! I can’t even count on my fingers how many times I have been checked out by or assisted by a manger. This doesn’t happen at other stores often. At other stores the manager seem to hide and avoid customers, but not here :)
I mean, what location announces it’s shining employees over the loud speaker? And they deserve it!
They are also very kid-​friendly. At the check out counter when I am a hot mess juggling my toddler and the grocery list, the checkout person is so sweet and accomidating. They also hand out cute stickers. Makes my son’s day :)
Overall this location has a lot of variety amongst the brands it carries. The wine dept is overflowing. The meat selections. I love the wide variety of international products it has. (Particularly the Italian section! Woo!)
The only qualms I have with this location are 1) They don’t carry the newest Bolthouse Farms products. 2) Seems to continuously has holes in its diaper aisle. 3) Seafood is priced higher than other Kroger locations it seems :(
All and all, love this location. Always regulars :)

I don’t have a whole bunch to say about this Kroger. I stopped here because it’s on the way home from Costco by Cumberland Mall. It was a rainy Saturday, so the store was not very busy. It did the job.
I found the store to be neat and almost everything was as it should be. I did see a very old and moldy ham in the meat section and I hate that with a passion. Why can’t they remove old shit? At all Kroger stores, I check and double check expiration dates because I have found this same type of slack at several of them. It is one of the reasons that Publix will out do them in the grocery store race everytime even though their (Kroger’s) prices are lower.
This store seems smaller than most Kroger stores I’ve visited. Parking is ample as it is located in a strip mall. In my opinion, Kroger messed up when they replaced Bank of America with Best Bank in their stores and when they stopped doubling coupons. Yes, I will clip a coupon or two. Ya.
Anyway, this would not be my grocery store of preference, but it can be convenient at times. For this, Kroger gets a big olé three starred A-​OK. Also, they have great sales and good deals when you have the Kroger plus card.

Unofficially called College Kroger for the high number of Tech students, the place is huge. However, their employees would obviously rather be someplace (anyplace) else and if you require their assistance for even the most basic task (such as checking out) you’ll be met with disdain and attitude. The store is ok, but don’t expect a friendly face to help you.

Long lines with only 1 non-​express lane open. Waited a long time to get up to the belt, and even after my groceries were completely rung up and paid for I waited about five minutes for them to finish bagging them. You would think they were rationing bags today because they stuffed my bags so full that they ripped before I ever got them home. At least the produce looked pretty good today and the cashier did apologize for the wait. This is pretty much the story each time I visit this location. I’m not sure the savings offset how irritated I feel upon leaving.

Gets 3 stars just because when I live off BANKHEAD this was my Kroger store so I base the stars on my fond memories, and the fact that they are still open 24-​hours.
That was many years ago.
Last nite, I went to Walmart that sorta share the shopping area with this Kroger and they were closed. I didn’t realize they closed at midnight and I needed to pick up a few groceries, so I went into Kroger. I probably haven’t been to this particular Kroger in six year at least.
Time has not been kind.
They didn’t have 40% of the brands that I were looking for. I had a ton of coupons that I need to use before year end and some of them are for free items, so there was no way I was going to substitute the Kroger brand for a free national brand. I think someone told me that this is now the GA Tech Kroger, so maybe, thats the reason for all the generic brands, with those tuition cost, I’m sure those students just want a hearty meal and branding isn’t that big of a deal to them.
The guys stocking the shelves were helpful in helping me look for a few of the items, so and at 130am only the self-​checkout is open, and the lady that was manning that station was friendly AND talkative.

As far as Kroger stores in Atlanta go, this one isn’t the worst, but it’s no five stars by any means.
I like the location, but it definitely needs better employees. I don’t understand how it’s always seems grimy and the cashiers act WAY busier than they are.
And one night while on a late run for some necessities, I got to wittness an employee treating who I assumed was a manager with complete disrespect when she told him to do something. The guy proceeded to turn his back on her and talk badly about her as he passed me.

Firstly, I’m a grocery store snob. I really only enjoy shopping at Trader Joe’s and dain to shop at Kroger & Publix when I’m desperate. In this case, I had to pick a prescription here last night and my office gave us a $ 25 gift card that I didn’t want to waste. That said, I will NEVER buy food from here again. I picked up a ball of mozzarella cheese and there was a patch of mold about the size of a dime on it. Seriously?! If they allow that sort of thing to happen, who knows what’s going on with the rest of the food.
The only reason they get two stars instead of one is the pharmacy staff. The guy working last night patiently dealt with my insurance company when they claimed I didn’t have active coverage. He sorted it all out for me, which I appreciated. Otherwise, I really have no interest in setting foot in the place unless I have to.

Gah, this place is a dump. Normally I prefer Kroger over other places (Walmart, for example) because it’s a step up. Not this store. I can’t tell if it’s because of all the GA Tech kids that shop here or just a general disregard for quality.
Kudos to their Customer Care desk. It’s not normally very busy and if you need to get a money order it’s a lot easier to come here than other places in the area.

I will agree with what others have said, it is quite possibly the worst Kroger I have ever shopped in and have been shopping at Kroger for years .
The staff, the only thing you ever hear them talking about is «My Break». If you have a question you’ve got a fifty fifty shot at having it answered for some reason the staff here gives you a strange blank stare when asking for information.
Publix has been getting a big portion of my business lately .
I miss the Kroger on Roswell rd.

Does this Kroger have a name? There’s Disco Kroger, Murder Kroger, and Kosher Kroger in Atlanta to name a few. This one is where all the Techies shop at, so maybe it’s Kro-​geek (props to Nancy B. for proposing that nickname). I used to shop at this Kroger all the time and still come here periodically if it’s convenient for me to stop by on my way home from work.
This is not the nicest Kroger in the world. It’s probably more deserving of two stars, but after shopping here many years, it’s grown on me. It’s always been a little dirty, particularly the parking lot. I once saw a rat running around in the produce section. That was the one and only time I’ve ever seen a rat running around inside a grocery store. Stuff like that doesn’t really freak me out, but I know some people would flip out if they saw that. I remember seeing another shopper notice the rate scurry under one of the stalls and all he did was chuckle to himself and carry on. I told the cashier about the rat while I was checking out and she laughed as well and told me they knew and were taking care of it. This was years ago.
Over the past year, they’ve completely renovated the produce section from top to bottom to give it a more clean and upscale feel. It almost resembles a Harris Teeter now. They’ve also replaced the old fast food Chinese takeout joint by extending their deli and offering more fresh and gourmet foods. In addition, this Kroger has a full service pharmacy. You can quickly pick up your prescriptions at the window outside. The floral section isn’t bad either.
Customer service-​wise, I’ve never had any problems. I once bought fresh-​bagged Kroger spinach that had a live ladybug inside. I called the 800 number on the back of the bag to report this and they comped me above the cost of the spinach. Another time, I accidentally left a bag of oranges at one of the self-​checkout stations. I returned 15 minutes later to fetch them, but they were nowhere to be seen. The manager just let me grab another bag without questioning me.
This Kroger is open 24/​7, so that makes it convenient. However, certain sections of the store close late at night. This place gets a lot of traffic, but I have to say the cashiers do a good job of keeping the lines moving. Overall, I’d say this Kroger is A-​OK and you can probably find what you’re looking for.

This particular Kroger is pretty shady, much like its cousin on Ponce. I don’t really get why it is though, when right nearby you have a nicer Walmart and a bit higher all those restaurants.
The staff isn’t exactly helpful either, and half the time when I ask where something is, they’re pretty clueless and go looking for it as if they were just another customer. Besides that, I really hate their organization of canned food, ESPECIALLY how apparently black beans are Mexican food? Uh no, pretty sure they should go in the beans or vegetables section. So confusing, maybe a bit offensive but not really.
They also often do this thing where they put goods that are about to expire or have already been separated from their packages (such as beer from 6packs) and try to sell them right in front of the cash registers for a (slightly) cheaper price. Wow.
The only good part about it, and the sole reason why I come here and not the Walmart next door, is its store hours, namely, the fact that it’s open ²⁴⁄₇. Of course they’re both (practically) equally cheap, but
Walmart is clean and has much more helpful people, unlike Kroger.
